New Designz Impulse Ball Detents, Short & Long Reviews
Customization with added performance is what its all about. Our new Impulse style threaded ball detents with custom star milling. We offer both the short and long (Vision side) length style ball detents. Our detents have a slightly higher spring rate. This helps prevent double feeding when using force feed hoppers. Yet, not that strong to create unwanted wear on the detents or bolt.
* Custom milled profile
* Slightly higher spring rate. Helps prevent double feeding when using force feed
* Comes in all our popular colors as shown
* Standard or Vision length
Available Red, Black, Green, Purple, Blue & Silver
The New Designz Impulse Ball Detents, Short & Long is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.
Orange Vision Impulse, vert Maxxie, ANS LPR, ND Bolt, ND Valve, ND Detents, Blade trigger, ND Halo low rise feed neck, Halo B, 12" Dye Ultralite, Dead On Paintball Pro 5" drop forward, 68/4500 nitro, and Dye stickies.

Strong, spring faster. Good for Halo. Looks like the RADNESS
Just got these pieces in the mail the other day, and they rock. I shot out my stock detents at the last tournament I played when I got up on my trigger. Stock detents can't take Halo style abuse. The Halo jams those balls into the breech with like 2000 lbs of pressure, so new detents are a GOOD thing. Halos dork up Angel detents too, so yea. If you use a halo and cycle over 10bps, which you should with a Halo or you shouldn't own it, get these detents with a quickness. They look awesome and ND makes the BEST Impulse upgrades by far.
My final recommendation is that these ROCK more than a detent has ever rocked before.
Well my entire review should be they are new designz, enough said. they made another flawless product. they looks good and can stand the heat of force fed hoppers. the allen wrench holes are stronger so they dont strip out as easily. good stuff. dont you just hate this word limit thing? i mean what more can i say about ball detents?
There really isnt that much you can ask for in a ball detent besides you dont get any double feeds and these work well. good high quality stuff.
Basically these detents do what they are supposed to do. They look great and you can't really go wrong with NDZ products on an Impulse. Unfortunately, as with everything else in the paintball world, I feel they are horribly overpriced, but there's really nothing you can do about that. If you have a force feed hopper you really should have these, or if you want to make your imp look a little better.
Good product, do what they are supposed to. Definitely recommend them.
Black SP Impulse
W.A.S. Equalizer Board
NDZ Blade Trigger (no magnet, I like my personal trigger job better)
NDZ Clamping No-Rize
Dye Sticky 3's
Trinity Unimount (same thing as Check It but sexier)
14" Pipe Kit
Dye 70 ci Throttle with 03 Rhino cover
Empire Reloader B
Durable threads/hex slot
They're not 'fangs'
Price (but its fair)
First of all, the stock detents are crap. They work well, but the moment you unscrew them to clean you or whatever, they will become a liability. This is because SP used a very cheap metal for the threads and the hex slot. I almost stripped the hex slot one one of them the first time I took it out, and I cross threaded it which caused the threads to literally disintegrate.
Which is why you should buy a pair of detents, preferably from NDZ, so that this doesn't happen during a tournament.
Now on these particular detents:
They're pretty. Pretty expensive. But, if you've already spent hundreds of dollars to make your Imp shoot like a pro gun and it still looks like a brick, I recommend installing a couple of these.
Functionally they're somewhat better than other detents. Mainly because the hex slot and threading are very strong and probably won't fail on you. Plus, they are the 'ball' style (like what's on the stock detents) instead of the 'fang' style, which looks like it would be less abrasive to your bolt (and its just cooler).
Impulse owners: Get a pair of spare detents. If you are counting pennies, don't get these. But if you don't mind dropping a few extra dollars for NDZ quality, I recommend these.

Smart Parts Max Flo LPR
ND Silk shot ram and hammer
More stuff i dont feel like typin
These are great. I used to use the stock detents and they just kept wearin out on me. I just got these new ones and the have a much better spring in em so the paintball doesnt move AT ALL. Holds them in place no matter what hopper you have on top, evo, revvy or Halo. Great product, worth the extra ten bucks
Great and look cool, i give them a ten because there is nothing that could be bad about them, their just detents
9 out of 10

2k3 impy BLACK, all ndz internals, ndz no rise, ndz detents, ndz blade trigger, JackHammer II lpr, freak system, clear halo b, ECS board, MAYBE EQ BOARD
goes well with halob. LOOKS COOL
i got these becasue i was having troubles with double feeding with my halo b. after i put these in i havnt double fed since. they milling on them is wicked sweet too. also it is made out of hard metal rather then the soft metal stock detents. with the hard metal it is near impossible to strip the allen hole. with my stock SP ones i stripped one of them and i was so PO'ed. lol..
