| Review: |
Everybody keeps saying this is marker is crap, so when I saw it on sale for $25, i thought it warranted a try. As with all markers, I didn't gas it up immediately and fire away. I took care of it as if it were a more expensive one.
Looked at the directions and took the thing apart. Oiled up in certain spots and put it back together again. No screws on this marker, you have to use a punch and a hammer to get out the pins. Fired a couple of times and hit about 245 bps. Really loud and erratic. Now I wanted to put some of my magic into it.
First off, the Barrel sucks and has manufacturer residue inside. Cleaned it out the barrel wasn't too polished. Took out some (keyword: some) Brasso and polished it up with my Redz barrel swab. Looked much better inside the tube.
As for the internals, there is not much you can do. Its mostly plastic. Didn't mess with the valve, wouldn't know where to get another one if it went bad. Best friend of this marker: LUBE. You got it! Used Super Lube on everything. Super Lube is a synthetic multi-purpose grease w/Syncolon (PTFE) and you can pick some up for like $8. I smoothed out the bolt (rough plastic edges), polished the striker bolt, valve stem, and also polished the trigger sear.
I put a thin layer of grease on the stem and sear. Also put some in where the trigger shoe touches the trigger housing. Slapped some lube on the bolt and smothered, I mean smothered the lower striker with lube. Now the marker is much easier to cock and everything feels smoother. The trigger pull now "feels" lighter.
After all that, I gassed up (vertical 12oz co2) and loaded the hopper with some Evil paint. Holy crap! FPS was at 310. Ended up having to almost back the velocity adjuster all the way back to get to under 300 consistently. Now it fires at a better grouping (after polishing the barrel most likely) and is also easier to fire.
By no means is this better than a spyder victor or something similar, the Barrel limits the Durango big time. I've got it working better than a rental, so I'm happy with my small investment. One note: the Ball Detent really sucks. You can barely see it. When I have free time, I might drill a hole on top of the body and put in an Autococker Ball detent I have laying around. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
With a little work, it turns out this isn't too bad of a marker. Still really for new players wanting to try out or old vets wanting to make something out of nothing.
I give it a 7 only because the unavailability of an aftermarket barrel really holds back its potential. |

I have a Kingman Electra DX and it is 10 times better than this gun...wait!!! it is 100 times better than this gun. |
 |
| Marker Setup: |
I have an Electra DX with all the stock parts on it. The only things I changed were that i took the sight rail off and ajusted the trigger pull. |
 |
Recommended Upgrades: |
I recomend no upgrades for this gun and I don't even think they have any. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
There is one strength to this gun...it actually fires!!! |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Everything about this gun sucks except it doesn't waste co2. |
 |
| Review: |
Here are some things about this gun that suck...Well this is going to take a while...it shoots 2 or 3 balls at a time, when you are just walking balls will fall out the barrel, the barrel sucks and doesn't shoot straight, the trigger pull is hard, the handle sucks, the hopper sucks, there is no bottom line, and, well this list could go on forever but i'll stop here. If i were you i wouldn't buy this gun because i think it sucks. Brass eagle guns are better than this gun. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
This gun sucks!!!...it's worse than a plastic brass eagle pump action gun...this is the worst gun i have ever used!!!...if there was a 0 that's what i would give it. |

| Review: |
I bought this gun off my next door neighbor for 10 bucks, and gassed it up with my 9 ounce co2 and started firing with it. I got about 400 shots with it and i probaly chopped 5 or 10. I found that this gun was inconsistent with firing. id fire one shot and it hit the target it perfectly and the next 3 or 4 would be all over the place. me and my friends had a little match, they had point zero and the other had a piranha. i did ok, i got the guy in the nuts with the piranha when he stood up from out of the boughs. every one says this gun is hard to take apart but i jus take a hammer and nail to pop out the pins the internals are only easy to take apart oil and out back together. any newbie can do it. forget what i said earlier since i got the barrel which i only got because it was same threads as my piranha, but i liked the stock barrel better on the piranaha and the girl at the store woundnt let me return it si i put it on my durango. the barrel was around 50$ this gun is actually pretty good with the new barrel. its doesnt chop to many maybe my barel my old barrel was warped or somthing but the accuracy and rage is actually good for only paying 60 $ for a gun. by no means is this gun better then my custom pro but if it had a double trigger it would be as good or the same as my piranha.
with the new barrel this gun is ideal for recreational players or begginers who dont have much money. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
This gun is just a good beginers/recreational gun untill you save up for somthing good. |

Oh,,,it's kinda in a class all it's own, Not as good as a Tippmann, but not as bad as Brass Eagle guns. |
 |
| Marker Setup: |
Black 2k2 Vertical feed cocker, w/ WGP hinge trigger, 32* flame drop forward, J&J Ceramic 12" barrel, and 68/3000 Nitro Duck, and 48/300 Pure energy. |

Well for some reason i still have this gun, but i've managed to put a 6 stage x-chamber on it. Also if you are looking for a barrel, go to Wal-Mart and buy the Brass Eagle "Eagle Works Raptor Barrel", but you have to take a hacksaw and cut about a quarter of an inch of the barrel off at the bottom part so it can screw all the way in. Also make sure you take a dremmel tool and smooth it out where you cut it w/ the hacksaw. The threads are the same, and it makes a heck of an improvement!! |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
Durable, semi-auto, it shoots pretty hard, its just fun to go out and shoot around with. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Plastic,(common though, it's cheap), barrel is pittiful. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Good starter gun, but i only have it to lend to people. I'm die-hard WGP,,,Cockers rule,,,,,,,,angel owners target stupidity,,,,would you pay over a 1000$ for a paintball gun??? |

I used talon, stingray, tippman, spyder. Winchester compares good with the rest of these guns but needs upgrades |
 |
Recommended Upgrades: |
Barrel, bottom line, grip |

 |
| Strengths: |
This gun is actually good compare to it's price which should be 60 bucks on ebay through 120 bucks regular. I played agaisnt tippman and spyder with this gun and did quite well.
There is excessive cleaning after every game but can live with that.
Can take a pretty good pounding on recreational games |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Barrel stinks
Excessive cleaning
Cocking sucks
grip sucks, everything made out of plastic
Barrel aluminium |
 |

Good gun for price |

New barrel if there is one for this marker |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
durable, cheap (about $45) good starters gun |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
everything is plastic, and it has a heavy trigger pull |
 |
| Review: |
Very nice starters gun, if not the best starters gun due to its price, durable.
The gun has a slow rate of fire due to its heavy trigger pull and its a bit of a gas hog.
It will sometimes chop balls frequently b/c of its bad stock barrel. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Good starters gun to see if you like the sport of paintbal, but once you decide if you want to play or not, id say buy a better gun if you do, and if not, well dont worry about it. |

CHEAP $30 canadian at walmart, fairly accurate, durable |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
cheaply made, shoddy internals, oil hog |
 |
| Review: |
I bought the gun with a freind to eliminate the "tag alongs" from using our guns. (we like to share the experience). SO CHEAP... but it works. my little 12 year old brother might
get one for himself. I don't mind if he plays, he toughs out the welts pretty well. All I can say is: Dont bother to upgrade it, it works the way it is, just strip it and oil it before and after every game, and you shouldn't have a problem.
I'd say 3-4 balls a second MAX without altering trigger pull |
 |
| Conclusion: |
for kids that want to come out and play.
Don't waste your time if you have a large wallet get a 98 or a dragun TES for bush or speedball games
I give it a 9 because it works and you fork out so little money for a working gun. |

 |
| Review: |
My friend bought the player kit for about 60 dollars I think. It was way too much for this gun, although he did like the mask. The accuracy is pretty bad, which should be expected for something worth less than a marauder. It's also the worst design ever, right up there with a blade. It has the absolute worst trigger design possible, I'd rather shoot a stingray.
It does have one good point. With a quick change 12 gram adapter and a 45 round hopper, it weighed less than half of what my Zeus weighs. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Never choose it over anything else. If one manages to fall in your lap, you can get some use out of it. Don't pay more than 20 dollars for it. |

| Review: |
Well this gun is pretty durable and it well probably last you awhile if you take care of it. It isnt very fast at all, and it isnt the nicest looking gun in the world either. I guess you could use it as a starter gun. It would work for awhile until you want a faster gun. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
I would recommend this product to any new players, if you are looking for a pretty cheap way to go. You cant uprade like anything on it. Actually you can but it take some money too. |

 |
 |
| Strengths: |
Incredibly cheap
Great backup gun
|
 |
| Weaknesses: |
It's made of plastic
Incredibly cheap
Not great accuracy
Has irrational problems sometimes |
 |
| Review: |
Quite simple to fix and to fire
No accuracy, valvle is poorly manufactured.
very light though
dont use if u are serious about pb
Great to lend (easy to fix, if it stops working just by a new one for cheap)
kinda ugly though
Winchester should improve the quality of the valve a little and perhaps make either a cheap barrel upgrade or a way better stock barrel (its just a metal tube, only worse are the unremovable plastic ones on a brass Eaagle) Dont take it completely apart, i have had trouble getting my valve back in as it breaks the oring whn you put it in. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Great beginner gun, backup gun or moneymaker (I rent mine to newbies)
better than most guns in its class, just take care of it and it should work fine
GREAT 4 PRICE |
