| Review: |
I want to say that the guy's at Hybrid are super cool and they have been in the game for a long time (much respect goes out to them).
When i got the bolt i was very impressed with the milling, weight and design of the ITB2 Bolt. The internal part of the bolt is drilled out near the back to decrease weight and it looks very sharp. To bad looks only impress 14 year olds these day's. When i put the bolt in my autococker i noticed that the ram was sticking back, so i gave it a little tap with my fist. Mistake number 1, you see the thick aluminum piece that holds the delrin tip on the front is the same outside diameter as the delrin tip. this means that the whole "lets use delrin so we don't scratch our autocockers" theory goes right down the toilet. Hence, the inside of my $250 STO body got scratched. (Oh well, such is life)
After a little metal removal from the local machine shop, i reinstalled the bolt with the back spin tip. Hella cool results; my velocity jumps up 30 fps!!! Well this has me quite baffled so i put on the low pressure tip on just for fun, humm... now im back down to 295? After much deliberation i come to the conclusion that the "back spin tip" is slotted all along the bottom of the bolt, thereby allowing more air to flow down the barrel. So, i do a little home slotting to the low pressure tip and BAMM! up to 325ish.
-The VENTURI TIP is a waste because there are two holes on the top and one on the bottom causing a drop down at range, due to top spin.
-The BACK SPIN TIP is very fun, range is increased by 5-10 feet. However shots drift left and right if poor paint is used.
-The LOW PRESSURE TIP is really the way to go (if you have a low-pressure setup). Shots are as straight as an arrow, its as if little Angels are floating your paint down range.

| Conclusion: |
The Hybrid bolt needs two major changes to be satisfactory. The first is a slotted air inlet. This will increase velocity by 30fps in some cases.
And second, take a little metal off the aluminun holding the tip in place, therfore the inside of your marker wont get sratched.
If these steps are followed a BIG 9. but for now a little 4. Sorry cool dudes at Hybrid next time play with the things before you sell them. |
