Ever wonder why your grip frame looks like one you could put on an actual firearm? We did. While pistol-esque grip frames are ergonomically correct for real guns, they are not for paintball. Why? Because many players use short, compact gun/bottle setups. With this sort of setup, a pistol type grip makes you cock your hand sharply forward at an unnatural angle, causing stress upon your wrist and tendons. With the Y-Grip, your hand and forearm are in a straight line...no more stress on your wrist!

In addition to the ergonomic and comfort benefits, the Y-Grip has a mounting bracket on the inside for a roller microswitch.

For less than $4 worth of Radio Shack parts you can Intellifeed the Mag to your Revolution hopper or Warp Feed!! This switch easily wires into your hopper so it agitates AND FEEDS every time!
Product Availability
The Airgun Designs Y Grip is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Intelliframe.. same thing just the opposite angle
Marker Setup: Xvalved mag with Blue ULE body, ULE Roguegrip, Y-grip, ULE Trigger
Strengths: The angle and lightness.
Weaknesses: No flat black color option.
Review: If you are looking to get the intelliframe, take a look at the y-grip. It's the exact same thing (can intellifeed a revvie etc) but with a reverse angle. Not as steep an angle as a z-grip it makes shooting VERY comfortable, and for me I can shoot alot faster with the better angle since my tank is moved far up as well. It's about one half inch longer than a intelliframe so you don't have to worry about your drop hitting your foregrip, it moves the tank alot more forward so take that into consideration as well.
Conclusion: Absolutely perfect, sell your intelliframe and get this. Much better angle for your wrist, your hand/wrist will thank you after a long days playing.

Hard to find screws small enough to attach intellifeed thing-a-ma-jig
------------------------------
I bough myself a minimag in spring to compliment my warpfeed that worked horribly on my old BKO(not enough vibration). Strangely the warp sensor decided to break so I decided to buy a frame that I could intellifeed. I looked to the I frame and the Y frame. Both were appealing to me but the Y frame struck me as somehting I would like. I bought it.
------------------------------
Compfort-this frame is ungodly when it comes to feel. Because it moves my tank forward it is closer to my body and due to the angle run-and-gun situations are made easier. The trigger also feels softer from the stock single trigger.

Intellifeed-my warp spins everytime I pull the trigger. I now will not have problems with my gun not getting balls. As was a problem with a broken warp.

Easy to install-The stock frame was very hard to take off and put back on my gun. The sear had to be positioned just right and such. With this frame enough material has been removed that the sear slips into place very quick and easy.

Screws-The intellifeed bracket has to have very small screws to fit through the tiny little holes. To those out there looking to do this to a gun, you need a number 2 machine screw .5" long.
Conclusion: This was a great buy. Brought my minimag one step closer to being the ultimate marker. :-)

I give it a ten because the one weakness was not enough to bring it down.

Absolutly nothing.
Marker Setup: 68 Automag Classic, Lapco Drop,J&J ceramic 12 inch barrel,Empire hopper,y grip, foregrip,And two 20 Ounce Tanks with SmartParts on/off Valves With Anti-siphons.
Strengths: Angle of trigger frame, trigger pull seemslighter, double trigger, and lightness of the frame.
Weaknesses: Are You Crazy? Absolutly Nothing.
Review: I ordered the y grip and I ordered 3 day air and I waited 3 Weeks for it. Then I called air gun designs and they said it was out of stock, but when I ordered it it didn't say that. I was Disappointed that they didn't call me to tell me it was out of stock. So i canceled the order and a few weeks later it came. Go Figure. They did charge it back to the plastic. But I put it on and i took a little while to get used to but i've loved it ever since. Its the best trigger frame ever and they gave me a pure black one, not like a Smokey Gray handle.
Conclusion: If you have an automag, get this Frame, iT's awesome and very confortable.

45 grips and m16 style grips.
Marker Setup: Mag: X valve, Lvl 10, Ule Body, Y Grip, 15* Vert Asa, CP Mini Gas Thru, 90/45 Nitro Duck Mega Reg.
Strengths: Relaxed Grip.
Weaknesses: People always call it a Z grip.
Review: Well.... I was first looking for a z grip, but i couldnt find any that were reasonable. Soo, when these came out, i waited to shoot one. Immediately after i shot one, i went home and ordered one. This is extremely comfortable (imo more comfortable than the z grip.. i just coudlnt get used to it). At first I shortstroked a few balls (frist time with a double trigger) but once i learned how to pull with a double trigger it was all smooth. I just wished i woulda waited for the black frames to get back in stock cause most of my gun is dark.
Conclusion: Very nice, the trigger on it is sweet, the feel is very nice.

Stock Carbon Fiber Frame (Y frame beats it in every way)
Intelliframe (I liked Y grip better, but its probably preference on that one)
Marker Setup: Minimag with Lvl 10, Y grip, 14" Boomstick, Cp Mini Gas Thru, Dead on drop forward, 12 v Revvy w/ Xboard, and 68/3000 PMI Pure energy fiber wrapped tank
Strengths: Looks great, comfortable, less straining than a 45 grip, fast
Weaknesses: Doesnt take Dye stickies, not like it matters much
Review: I had been waiting for this product for a few months now, and when it came out I ordered it right away. The day I got it, I loved it. I was always found the Z grip interesting, but never got a chance to shoot 1, so when I heard about this, I wanted to try it. Its alot better than my friend intelliframe in my opinion, but I can see why some people might feel just fine with a 45 frame.
Conclusion: I ould recommend getting this product if you are interested, it is great, especially when compared to my old stock grip frame.
