The "Phat" Hammer incorporates a 2- piece body design, a stainless steel front for durability and a brass body for extra weight to hit the exhaust valve harder, allowing you to run at lower pressures. The "Phat" Hammer also includes a ¼ x 28 hardened lug with nylon set screw to keep it from slipping.
Product Availability
The Shocktech Phat Hammer is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Jackhammer lpr, new designs bolt, eye, ED hammer assem.
Strengths: Heavy
Weaknesses: LUG! worst enemy if u have electro.
Review: Well,

If you have this hammer and you did not buy a new lug or sand it down then you're in trouble. Notice how on the bottom of the hammer there is a rounded or chamfered edge on the lug? This wil cause the e-blade's sear to not catch correctly and just lob out shots when u are firing above 8 bps. Now I was tryin out for an Am team when I got my e-blade set up and trying it. Now are you going to be chosen for a team when you try to fire and your gun spits out paintballs 25 feet? Ill be snap shooting and have a clear shot and the hammer slips and then it shoots about 85% less distance then it could. Also in the e-blade manual it clearly states that... " The lug CANNOT have either a chamfered, rounded or pointed end to the cocking lug. A lug with anything other then a polished "square-cut" tip will SEVERELY IMPAIR the performance of the eclipse blade electronic grip frame." So why does shocktech feed the people so much bullsh*t? because their products suck and they need all their lies to sell the products. They do make nice beaver-tails though..........
Conclusion: This is good if u buy a new lug. and don't listen to everything companies tell you. I can SEE why no one on Chicago Aftershock shoots an autococker anymore. Dan Love does but still 1 person?

Strengths: SOLID, Durable, Made by Shocktech
Weaknesses: HEAVY, Causes Unneccessary Vibration During High ROF
Review: I bought this as an upgrade, and I was suprised. Although it did it's job, very well I may add, it was a bit more than I bargained for. I was tryiong to improve accuracy, and decrease overall weight. This hammer is verry heavy in comparison to other hammers. It is made very well, and will withstand anything you throw at it. On the down side....it did cause a lot of excess vibration during high rates of fire. This, as you probably already know, will decrease your accuracy.
Conclusion: Save your self some money,....and buy a WGP "Worr-Blade" Lockdown Hammer. It weighs less, is made for AN EXTREMELY HIGH RATE OF FIRE (comes stock on the WGP Karnivor and WGP Black Magic), and has a nylon "set screw" (to keep your lug from "backing out" on you.

KAPP expansion front block bolt
CP Barrel Kit
Shocktech slider frame with roller sear
Strengths: Works great with the roller sear. VERY smooth firing cycle.
Weaknesses: Designed for mech. cockers.
Review: Other than the REX Dialer this is the best hammer you can buy. The brass is nice and heavy and steel cap will last forever. Its really smooth and while some people don't like the chamfered timing bolt I love it! The sear takes much less wear and the timing is much more gentle. The extra weight lets me run at a lower pressure for less ball breaks. It ist incompatible with pump and electro setups but with a true mechanical autococker it is a key peice in delivering a super smooth firing cycle.
Conclusion: Great buy, especially for autococker purists! 9 out of 10. Why? Nothings perfect.

Stock hammer, Free Flow Tungsten hammer
Marker Setup: Sniper 2 with auto-trigger
Strengths: longer than stock Length
wider than stock Diameter
Nice nylock design
Weaknesses: Ruff finish
light weight
short lug (bad for autotrigger sniper2s but ok for autocockers)
Review: the increased Length and Diameter make it ideal for close timing
it cured my Timing Problems with my larger than stock Kapp body tubes

It is a tight fit over the threads yet once past them slides inside with no problem
Length is longer than stock but only comes into contact with IVG threads for 1/64th of travel

finish is rough (any after market hammer should be polished IMO)
the milled portion of the lug is shorter than stock so using it on a Sniper 2 with an auto-trigger is impossible because it needs the lug to be longer
Autococker users don't have to worry

nice unique nylock design uses 1 nylock to keep both the cocking rod and hammer lug in place

weight seems to be same as stock or lighter
I wish it were heavier
Conclusion: if you are of need of a bigger than stock hammer or if you would like a neat nylock setup then its good. Other than that i would stick with stock
