About 2 months ago i purchased a the Combat Folding Stock from Blackpoint without the RVA because i didn't think that i'd need it and i wanted to save a little money, i was wrong!!!
I use a 4X30 Scope on my marker, and even with the 3" offset mount, i was still having a hard time getting my face behind the scope with my mask on, i needed something else to either raise the scope, or lower the stock. That's when i decided on getting the RVA with stock mounting hardware.
When it arrived and i installed it i instantly noticed that the 1" drop on the stock that the RVA puts on made it perfect for getting my line up on the scope with my mask on. I couldn't wait to try it out on the field. I wasn't even thinking about the rear velocity adjustment option.
The next time i went to play, i headed out to the chrono station and was amazed to find that my marker was chrono'ing at 320bps!!! This adjuster really made a difference. I spent a minute of two cranking down the velocity to get it to 285, and noticed that using the rear velocity adjustment was much more accurate than the velocity screw in the power tube.
Let me put it this way, by having this RVA is makes the screw in the powertube the course adjustment, and the RVA the Fine adjustment. It made a night and day difference in getting your velocity EXACTLY where you want it.
Conclusion:
Invaluable for adjustment of Velocity
If you have one of Blackpoints folding stocks this is a MUST HAVE!!! the one inch lower on the stock makes it much more comfortable, and much easier to use either a scope, a red dot sight, or regular sights.
