| The new Slam Bolt has two moving parts which allows the user to change efficiency and/or input pressure of the paintball marker. By a simple change of the slam valve's main o-ring, the user can attain better control of the gun's effeciency. By replacing the slam valve's main o-ring with a smaller ring the operator will be able to drop the marker's input pressure and in return reduce the marker's sound signature. (Gun shoots quieter) The other significant advantage of the Slam Bolt is it's ability to fire with longer forward pulses without reducing the marker's efficiency. What this means is you can use this valve in cooler weather without sacrificing the benefit of the high shot count. The user can expect to attain 1600 shots with the largest o-ring on the slam valve from a 68/4500 tank. Each bolt kit contains: Full bolt assembly, Aardvark custom wrench, full replacement set of o-rings, instructions, chip settings, computer chip (LED or Slide Switch boards) and a jar of Matrix Muck. |

I just wanted to post that the SLAM bolt is VERY impressive.
However, I think the advertised bps and effieciency is pretty conservative. I'm trying to arrange to video an actual test at my local field. (i.e. setup the marker in a vise, load a bunch of pods and run them thru to measure shots per 68/4500). I have a strong suspesion that I'll get more than the advertised 1300.
I put the #16 O-ring on my sail and dropped the pressure significantly. I haven't noticed any difference in bps from my previous GEN E bolt. It's pretty tough to accurately measure bps with an LED tho - it feels like 15+ when fanning. I HAVE noticed a drastic improvment in efficiency!!!
I'm assuming that Aardy went conservative on advertised performance as a method of managing cust expectations. I love it when companies are responsible advertisers.

i would reccommend this bolt to any matrix addict.
it offers the ability to customize your bolt setup and drastically improves efficiency.
personally i found any reduction in bps in unnoticable. |

I dont really know what to say about this bolt that hasn't already been said. It is as efficient as the Evolve bolt kit but is much quieter, and has even less kick. Not to say that these markers have much kick, but this literally has none now. I lent my gun to a buddy last weekend and he was saying that it was barely audible to people standing beside him.
They are hard to find ( much harder than the Evolve), but well worth the money if you can find one.
The only thing that bugs me with this bolt is the reassembly as the sleeve sits farther back and the bolt tends to fall apart as you go to insert it back into the marker. I do it in two parts now. |
