Piranha Shim Kit Perhaps a better way than changing springs to increase or lower your Spyder or Piranha's velocity is to simply swap the shim. Shocktech is introducing the Shim Kit which will allow Spyder and Piranha owners to adjust their velocity in 10 fps intervals just adding a different colored shim. The shim kit provides 6 color coded shims, or spring guides. Each colored shim can be matched with the provided chart to see roughly how your guns velocity will be affected. An inexpensive way to drop or raise your guns velocity instantly.

You can easily adjust you velocity and not even have to use the velocity adjustment. I dont use mine and my gun perfectly chronos. I took mine out and Ive never had to mess with my gun since its always perfect. If u use the shim kit u can move up or down 10fps by just changing shims.
Conclusion:
This is a great product for all spyder users. It makes Paintball life so much easier

The kit is relatively cheap 20 bux brand new and for the price its very effective.....raises the FPS so u can drop your pressure. Color coded for easy selecting.....good for the price...also get a spring kit for the full effect....but u can use this without it...better with the spring kit though
Conclusion:
If you have a spyder and want to make small changes, or just completely redue your spyder/pirhana get this kit...cheap and effective

I have only used these shims for a while, but they work great. Unlike springs they won't wear out, and you'll never have to cut them. They work in 10 fps intervals.You use them by replacing the stock spring guide and using these, you don't have to pull the whole gun apart, just take the back plate off and your set.
Conclusion:
great buy if you need to change your spring tension

I have used the shim kit in my spyder for some time now. first i bought a spring kit like everyone else, but i found put that some of the springs just didn't have enough tension and others had too much tension. i just couldn't get my marker to shoot where i wanted it. after using the shim kit, i found it very easy to get close to the velocity i wanted with a spring, then tune with a shim, and fine tune with the velocity adjuster. the small shim and the lightest spring work perfect for my low pressure setup, and i have actually run my spyder at 400psi. with the stock shim, i could only go to about 700.
Conclusion:
You should order this product. it's more useful than you would think, expecially if you're planning to upgrade your marker. as one final note, the shims won't lose tension the way a spring can. if you're in a pinch and don't want to buy a new spring to replace your old worn spring, then simply change the shim and you're set.
