This is my first semi marker, other than shooting other peoples markers. |
| Marker Setup: |
PMI Piranha G2 PRO, TKO Drop forward, custom trigger job, removed venturi face, DYE Ultralite barrel, 9V revvy |
Recommended Upgrades: |
Its really good out of the box, but I would do a trigger job.
I plan on increasing the flow so I can get better efficiency and get it to a lower operating pressure. somr kind of sticky grips, DYE's or Hogue's |

| Strengths: |
This marker is extremely nice for the price. The anno looks sweet. It has an aluminum trigger frame and custom looking trigger. Field strip pin is a dream for cleaning. Stock barrel is not the worst one I've ever shot but it still needs replaced. Easy to adjust velocity. Vert feed is great to get the profile down. With the TKO drop on it it is an extremely compact marker. This marker feels very sturdy when you hold it and has yet to have a single leak like other reviews stated. The trigger is very adjustable, if you do a simple trigger job you can adjust the return travel by moving the metal trigger on the trigger plate. |
| Weaknesses: |
The barrel is okay for a srock barrel but it needs to be replaced which causes you to lose the nice anno job on it. If you get an old one the sear wears immediatly but PMI will replace it for free if it does. |
| Conclusion: |
Very good for the price. very solid blowback with all aluminum construction not plastic grip frame. It's a spyder clone so it can be endlesly upgraded. |

Everything to me I have never experinced any problems out of this gun.All those people who say they chop paintballs and rings are not taking proper care of there gun because if they did it wouldn`t be like that. This is not just a good beginner gun but it is also good for any type of player. This is a good gun.
I would buy this gun over any gun under its price.Plus there are a lot of other types of barrels that will fit on it besides its regular stock barrel. |
| Weaknesses: |
Costly. |
| Conclusion: |
It is costly but a good gun. |

| Strengths: |
the piranha pro is a really good gun for $300 it shoots about 12 balls per second and is low maintance you can also get 3 color anodizing with it and has a better expansion chamber than the sts and longer barral. The gun also comes with a vertical power feed which makes the sight rail usless. The gun also has a beaver tail for the rear cocking bolt and has a a aluminum trigger and trigger guard |
| Weaknesses: |
not to much bad things to complain about besides the price is kinda close to the auto cocker. |
| Conclusion: |
the gun comes great stock with anodizing and a lot more upgrades than the sts for only a hundred more bucks you with the three color anodizing alone would be a 70 dollar price hike on its own. I would recomend it to any intermedite playor but if you were a tourny i would recomend a auto cocker or angel. Over all I thing it is all the gun you could want for 300 bucks |

| Review: |
ok, well I was paintballing with a bunch of friends, and one had this gun, it was his since 1997 I think, he got it new. he never cleaned or lubed it, never took it apart, so that day hit took a giant crap on the field and didnt 'work' anymore, so he got pissed off, the barrel is stripped, dont know how he did it. So, when he got off the field he was saying how he was going to throw it away when her got home, I offered to take it and he gave it to me. I thought it might be a fun gun to try and get working again: wrong, the onlything 'broke' on it was every O-ring it had, they were all broken and cripped, so, I got it home, gave t some TLC put it back together, and its been working fine since then.
Very Snappy shooter for a mech as stated, I can get about 8-10, sometimes 12 BPS or more with it. Good for a back-up woodsball gun if thats what you want it for, I just use it as a loan out gun to newbies and kids with broken guns. But that aside its a great gun and anyone, new or old would be happy with. |
| Conclusion: |
I give it a eight because its good but could be better. |

this gun is great. you really get a great gun for your money. I recommend that you go to a paintball shop and buy one at once. because there are few pimped out piranhas you will get respect. I get mad props because my gun owns. This is the best marker that piranha has ever made. |

Its great. |

I own the G2 Pro with it's stock barrel, 20 oz Co2, and a shocktech dropforward. |
Recommended Upgrades: |
new barrel, nitro tank, |
| Strengths: |
I've owned this gun for years and rarely have any trouble with it. It's fast and never chops balls. All the fools out there that believe it eats o rings are dumb. Keep it properly maintained and lubed and it should be fine. Also is balanced, even more so with a dropforward. The verticle feed makes it easy to snap shoot. |
| Weaknesses: |
leaks are if o rings aren't properly maintained. descent stock barrel, but could use a more accurate one. bolt tends to rub on the guns housing. |
| Conclusion: |
very good and sturdy as an overall gun. i have intentions to upgrading further . Keep the gun in good shape and it'll last and give you satisfying results. rarely any probs whatsoever. |

Spyder shutter and all other spyders including electros. The Pro G2 is so much better than all other spyders! |
| Marker Setup: |
I have the Piranha Pro G2 w/ Kapp Drop Zone 2 drop forward, Kapp on/off ASA, Centerflag Hyperflow nitro tank, CP 12" barrel, shocktech bolt, Turbo Valve, Dye stickies, 12v Revy. All the goods! |
Recommended Upgrades: |
Barrel, Nitro, Turbo Valve, KAPP Drop Zone 2. |
| Strengths: |
I have used this gun in so many tournaments and won quite a few! I play against the cockers, angels, mags, and I still blow them away! This gun is very accurate, light, easy to take apart and clean, very durable, and very fast! |
| Weaknesses: |
Sort of hard keeping constant velocity, fixed that w/ nitro. Can chop paint also, but I got a CP barrel and fixed that too (.689). People who say this gun eats o-rings are stupid. All you have to do is take the gun apart when you FIRST get it and oil it up! And after EVERY day of paintballing take it apart and clean it and oil it. It's basic maintence! You should do that w/ ANY gun you get! People dont realize that paintball guns are dry as a bone out of the box. You gotta lube them up b4 you go play ur 1st game! |
| Conclusion: |
This gun is awesome! I personally like the plain and simple G2's better than the snazy G3's out today. There is no need for a reg or a gauge on piranhas. I dont even have a reg, just a gas-thru grip w/ my nitro and it works fine! The Pro G2's are goin for about $180 now, thats awesome! I got mine last year for $250! and that was a good price at the time! So, I encourage anyone just getting into the sport lookin for a kick @$$ gun that'll last (unlike crappy Spyders) to deffinitly get urself a PMI Piranha Pro G2. Even if your not new (i've been playing for over 5 years now and look at me!) to also get one! |

This gun is extremely accurate. (it regularly outshoots my brother's Autocker and Spyder Shutter). it has a quick rate of fire and is very durable.
It also seems to be gas efficient. I have to get refills on my tanks far less often than with my previous guns. |
| Weaknesses: |
The paint jobs that the gun comes with our horrible if you do not want to be seen. Its an awesome paint job, but it has no camoflauge value. |
| Conclusion: |
This marker is an all around great marker. This marker is capable of beating out anything equivalent or below a spyder shutter. It works well in the rec ball. (I've never taken it to a tournament). It is an all around great deal. |

Piranha Pro G2... 14 in. Freak Barrel... Chrome PMI REG... Turbo Valve... Running LP at 200 Psi... PMI Micro gauges... Converted the marker to a fully automatic electro pnumatic with LCD (email me for info if interested)... 90 ci 4500 psi Nitro duck tank... 20 oz Co2 with Smart Parts On/Off for summer/backup... VL Revvy with a Turbo Rev kit in it... Clear Dye stickies |
Recommended Upgrades: |
New barrel and Nitro tank if you play in cold weather... Revvy if you shoot as fast as I do ...14 bps + |
| Strengths: |
I never had a major problem with this marker that I coulden't fix, you definitely have to know how ot properly maintain a marker, or just like any other, this one will fail. PMI customer service is excellent, they can help you with any problem and they work very fast, I think that they are unparalleled in the industry as far as customer service goes. The internals are great, velocity adjuster is an awesome feature, and despite what everyone says, it is a tourny gun, you just have to set it up right... I can easily outshoot Angels, and I only only spent about 1/3 the amount they did for their entire setup. Before I overhauled the gun, it only broke about 1 ball of about 3000 that I shot through it, then I bought the Freak and have never broken a ball since. |
| Weaknesses: |
My Ram Air leaked when I first powered it up, but I emailed PMI and they sent me out a new o-ring for the piston and spring... 4 days later I got their package, I oiled the o-ring, and haven't had a problem since, and that was almost 6 months ago.
The barrel is ok... get a new one first chance you get though |
| Conclusion: |
The Piranha is the best marker for the money, if you like to tinker like I do and have the machinery, then the possibilities are endless. I turned a stock marker into a paint slinging demon and I can land shots one on top of another from more than 50 feet. Be warned that this is not a gun to neglect and not maintain, like ANY OTHER MARKER it will not work properly. I have seen many reviews saying that their gun didn't work right, and I know it is because they neglected it and didn't maintain it properly. If you want something low maintence, buy Brass Eagle and buy another when it breaks. You can do anything with it as long as you have the time and the money, I have at least 100 hours invested in mine so far, and I am still thinking of new things to try. |

| Strengths: |
Very good entry level marker, cheap, easy to clean, compatible with the Kingman’s, accurate, fast, good looking, actually has accessories. |
| Weaknesses: |
Its life expectancy isn’t as good as it could be, after a while it starts falling apart, has leaks but that’s it. |
| Conclusion: |
This gun is very good stock, I really think that the only thing worth to change might be a new barrel.
Well I got it for 200 bucks and yeah, it has been worth it.
I really don’t know what gun to compare it, if its against a spyder tl+ I prefer the spyder, I think there more durable.
Yes, of course, if you want a gun get this one, its worth it
