Weaknesses: Stock Barrel
Electro Hopper - if you're into shooting faster than 8-10bps
Review: Great gun, I upgraded from my trusty Tippmann to bring my game up a level.

This gun is fast. For a regular stock trigger, it is a light pull (at least coming from using a tippmann). I can manage to fire 12-14bps with my revvy, but with just a veiwloader 200, you can still pull off 8-10bps which is plenty for just starting off with the gun till you get used to it. Personally I think that the WorrBlade is unnecessary, but thats me.

Everybody always says something about short stroking, so now its my turn, and this is all you need to know - Don't worry about it. I havent short stroked yet, and I dont plan on it either. Juts be sure you pull the trigger all the way back and let it go all the way forward after pulling it and you wont have any problems. But as long as you make sure that you pull that trigger right, you can shoot as many rounds as you can squeeze off.

Accuracy and efficiency are the two main reasons why i bought this gun. WGP has a reputation to maintain about accuracy, and this gun upholds that reputation. Because it is a closed bolt system, This gun is also efficient. No gas can leak anywhere because it has nowhere to go! Combine those two things and you've got yourself a great marker.

Conclusion: Best gun you'll get for the amount of money you just dropped on it, and well worth every penny of it.

Oh yeah, if customizing is your thing, this is your marker. It is the most customizable marker on the market, and if you really wanted to you could build this marker completely out of after market parts!

Tippman A-5 with R/T Trigger - This gun is good but I fell in love with Autocockers, the smooth quiet gliding pneumatics just made me have to buy one. Also, everyone else on my team has one minus our angel guy.

Upgrades:
I would recommend, as your first upgrade, get the Orracle bolt. You might think that bolts don't improve your gun much, and in any other case that may be true. However, everyone knows that when you first start shooting a cocker, its hard to get the trigger pull down and if you don't get a quick, sharp pull, there goes a double feed. This Orracle bolt has a longer intake so it reduces short stroking. In fact, I have yet to short stroke mine in a case of paint. You can actually pull the trigger very slowly and it will still fire as if you pulled it fast. This will help with a more accurate shot due to more consistency since your not having to pull fast your gun is more stable and can stay on target.

Also, the ANS Gen-X2 Inline Reg, 68/45 ACI Bulldog 2 Nitro tank and a drop forward.
Strengths: 1. Out-of-the-box play.
2. Great looks.
3. Accuracy
Weaknesses: 1. Stock Bolt
2. Stock Barrel
3. Stock Inline Reg.
Review: Key Strengths:

1. Out-of-the-box play.
Now, the first key strength to this marker is the fact that you can get it, bring it home or have it delivered, take it out of the box, hook up some air to it and start playing. This gun is ready to go, timed and everything straight from the factory.

2. Great Looks
One thing that can be said about markers today is that they are consistently getting more and more ridiculous looking. I understand a fade, a great gun, and custom milling go great together, but some people let these enticements make their decisions for them. With that said, one thing that has been true about all stock autocockers from the beginning is they aren't good lookers. I'm a guy and if an Autococker were at a bar, I wouldn't want to pick one up. WGP made a step in the right direction this year though. The cool milling and great anodizing job really makes these stocker cockers look like $400. That is what they cost right?

3. Accuracy
The final key strength is the accuracy of the gun right out of the box. The stock barrel is loud, yes, but that being said it is actually quite accurate. I don't think this ha anything to do with the actual stock barrel itself however. The simple fact that cockers use closed bolt operation and not a bolt flying around everywhere jerking your gun to timbuk-2 like lower end blow backs do makes it more accurate. Cockers allow you to keep your gun fixed on a certain point a lot easier than say spiders or less. Therefore, your shots are more consistent and therefore more accurate.

Key Weaknesses:

1. Stock Bolt:
The stock bolt is made of rolled aluminum foil, or at least thats what it fires like. Don't get me wrong, you can play with it out of the box, but your first upgrade should definitely be getting the orracle bolt. If they didn't sell stock guns with crap parts it wouldn't be as fun to buy them and upgrade them how you want em.

2. Stock Barrel:
Aside from this barrel being able to hit a barn door from 50 feet away, this thing is loud. I mean, cover your ears. Playing with this barrel for an extended period of time could lead to hardcore hearing loss.

3. Stock Reg:
This is actually not as much of a weakness as you might think. It can hang as a mediocre part with the best of the mediocre, average if you will. If you want more consistent airflow leading to better accuracy, a high flow adjustable reg is the way to go. See my recommended upgrades and my setup for more info on what to get.
Conclusion: This gun is definitely worth every penny. Some people have problems with stock cockers and I think it is because they try to change things on it too fast without understanding the gun. If you get this gun, study how it works, and learn for heaven's sake, you can make these guns contenders in no time. I have to give it an 8 though, simply due to the stock bolt and barrel.

Review: PROS:

Accuracy: Great! This is what a gun should shoot like! As far as accuracy goes, each ball landed on top of each other, with the stcok barrel, no joke. People at the chrono thought that I had an ALL-AMERICAN or FREAK on it, and when I told them it was a stock WGP their jaws dropped! The only problem I have with the accuracy is when I chop a ball, then the balls go everywhere (but thats only when I don't turn my hopper on lol). Now that I actually have a FREAK barrel you wouldn't beleive how sick the accuracy.

Speed: As far as mechanical autocockers go, this thing can go pretty fast. I'm not sure how fast I can go, but the trigger pull is really light, so you can rip without even trying to hard (be VERY carefull not to shortstroke!). Combined with a WorrBlade, Nexus Ram, fast hopper, and good bolt, someone with fast fingers could definatly get close to 20bps!

Weight: Combined with a 68ci tank and a eVLution II, this gun isn't too heavy. Its not incredibly light like it was when I had my revvy and 45ci tank ( I now have a eVLution II and 68ci tank) , but its definately a nice change from my Tippmann.

Stock Quality: The stock parts are incredible for the price. The barrel is remarkable, the hinge trigger is fast, and the pnuematics are great (front regulator is adjustable!) The bottomline setup that it comes with is nice, but I would definately change to a regulary drop forward. If you have a 45ci, get a WGP Torpedo drop, and if you have a 68ci or 88ci then get a large drop like Psycho Ballistics so you can shoulder it.

Looks: The milling is great, and combined with the chrome, it makes this one head turning marker! Much nicer design then the 2003 in my opinion!

Maintenance: Although some people think that autococker maintenance is a hassle, ITS NOT! At the most, you just have to take out your bolt, clean it, run a squeegee through your cockers body to clean the inside, and your done! I've been using that method for about 8 months and my cockers been perfect! And, if you want your gun squeaky clean, just take it to your local pro-shop every 3 months to ensure everythings good.

Company: WGP! The originator of this type of gun... not much more to say!

Reliabilty: Once your gun is set up the right way with proper timing and you make sure not to adjust anything you shouldn't be adjusting, I can gurantee you'll be fine, and if somethings not, its user error.

Upgrades Available: So many companys like Smart Parts claim that there guns are the most upgradable guns on the market... well, they are not! The autococker surpasses them by far! I would list all the upgrades possible, but my reviews long enough as it is, so I will just mention a few: barrel, body kit, bolt, pull pin, hammer, lug, valve, body kit, pnuematics (regulator, 3-way, ram), regulator, drop forward, springs, electronic grip frame, feed neck, ASA adapter.... you get the point.

CONS:

Cocking Rod: After some games, the cocking rod screws loose, so after every game you should check it! Most autocockers have this problem so its no biggy.

Cocking Pressure: My gun wasn't cocking after a couple uses and I was having some shoot down so I had to screw in the regulator (which is adgustable by the way) and it was perfect. Make sure not to adjust it unless you know you need to.

Ball Detent: I was chopping alot, and when I took out my bolt and cleaned everything, making sure that everyhting was screwed in right, and still had problems, I decided to take it to a Pro Shop because I am new with cockers and I didn't wanna mess with it. When I went there, the tech (who has been certified by WGP) mentioned that WGP didn't realize but there ball detents were the wrong size, and wasn't until they mass produced them that they realized what had happened. So, after only two uses, I had to buy a Shocktech ball detent, and all of my problems were resolved. So, my advice to you is right after you buy this, try it out, and if needed buy a ball detent or else you could have problems.
Conclusion: This is a great gun, I LOVE IT. You may have noticed that I changed the review. I had a lot of problems but then I realized that alot of it was because of my regulators pressure and also my ball detent. I had accidentally adjusted the regulator, so I was running at the wrong pressure, thats what was causing most of my problems, but I changed it and now it is great! Now with my 04 Vertical Feed, I usually get atleast 1-2 person out a game, sometimes 2, and in big games I've even gotten 4 people out (and the gun was STOCK) which is great considering I never got anyone out with my hooked up Tippmann 98 Custom. If you get this I could almost guarantee you will increase your number of outs a game.

Upgrades:
Maybe A barrel, but the stock barrel accuracy is pretty good.
Strengths: Comfort, Looks, Accuracy, Consistent, Smooth firing once timed correctly.
Weaknesses: Not many. Had some trouble with the cocking pressure at first. Not extremely fast.
Review: I got My cocker the 2nd day they came out at the Pomona, ca Expo. That next week, I went to the Field with my shiny new cocker. It is without a doubt an awesome gun. It didn't come from the factory timed very well, so I had to do that before anything. After that, I played a few Hyperball games, and It worked well. The cocking rod came loose, but that was fixable. After about 3-4 games, My gun wouldn't recock, so I took it to the tech. and The cocking pressure was too low. So I turned up The regulator(Thank God it's adjustable) and It worked well after that. On the 2nd to last game, I got shot Directly in front of the Pneumatics ( The Microline leading to the reg) and I didn't even know it. The shot didn't even phase the gun. The consistency isn't too bad. About +/- 6 on 85 degree weather.

After 2 months, and approximately 6 paintball trips, this marker still is great. I added a 15 degree STO adapter, and a black magic flame trigger for comfort. I highly recommend the15 degree because it is easier to grip. I used the stock barrel because my barrel still hasn't come in yet, and the stock barrel is highly accurate. I can hit a 2' x 3' 10 out of 10 shots from 63 feet away; the shots have a radius of about 6''. The ROF is amazing for a mechanical gun. I can get (no joke) 8-9 bps without shortstroking. Once i go higher, I shortstroke about twice out of 15 balls. Once again, on the last trip out, I got shot twice in the pneumatic line, and no difference at all. I didn't even know it until I went home to clean my stuff.

One of the best feature's of this cocker, is when it's stock without any upgrades, it's still a great gun. But with all of the available upgrades today you can make it one of the best guns at the field. Whether you decide to upgrade this marker or not it is a bang-for-the-buck marker, but good quality upgrades do make a big difference.

After adding a CP grip regulator, a Kaner Barrel kit, and fine tuning, this gun is amazingly consistent. About 3-6 +/- on the chrono. The Kaner Barrel kit shoots like darts, just one on top of another. The CP barrel was good without a doubt, but now I love this gun more than ever. It is a pretty popular gun, which makes it good because a lot of people can service them if you ever encounter a problem (never happened to me.)

1 year after owning this gun: My review stands firm, although the rating has gone down from a 10 to a 9. The game of paintball has changed so much, almost requiring that your gun must be able to put out a large rate of fire. Because of this, the "prostock" (which is it's given name) will not be used my many pro teams (if any.) HOWEVER if you are looking for a relatively cheap gun, like upgrading your gun, and like good performance right-out-of-the-box, than the 04 cocker is for you.

Very Goods: Accuracy, Smooth Firing Action, Upgradeablilty
Goods: Comfort, Looks, Strength of the body
Not-so-goods: Speed compared to the other available markers today it would be considered slow (hey, whats the e-blade for though?) This gun is a beast, not exactly what I'd call light.
Bads: Nothing on this gun could be considered "bad"
Conclusion: A great gun without any doubt. I have no regrets buying this gun. It isn't as bad as most people make cockers out to be (Being a pain to adjust and time) The accuracy with the stock barrel is surprisingly good. I could lay paint pretty much on top of each other (If I could hold my gun still) If you want a good gun, at a good price, go with the 04 cocker.

New Barrel. New Pneumatics (the stock ones are fine, it's just that they're ugly.)
Strengths: Out-Of-Box Accuracy, Cool milling, Stock Regulator's good. Already timed. Easy to maintain.
Weaknesses: loud. I dont know why, but the trigger cramps my hand.
Review: I got this gun yesterday and as soon as i got home i loaded it and gassed it up. It works great. i tested the accuracy by putting the tank in a vice and it held its position while i shot. there was about a 1 - 2 inch gap in shots. so the accuracy rocks. Easy to maintain. You would think that getting your first cocker would be freaky to clean and stuff cuz its so comlicated. at least thats what i thought. i was seriously impressed though cuz all you do is pull out the pin, take out the bolt, and stick in a battle swab. As long as you dont try to mess with the internals you should be fine. I bought this instead of an Outkast because im eventually going to build a custom cocker out of it. Even then, i probably wont take it apart by myself, but take it to a local shop to get it done. There's also a short stroking issue. Its where you dont pull the trigger enough and the ball doesnt fire but instead, gets stuck in the barrel and another ball loads. and when you actually DO pull the trigger correctly, youl get a ball burst. So the best way to keep this from happening, is to walk to trigger. dont gas it up or anything just pull the trigger and let it go but MAKE SURE that when you pull it, you here a click and when you let it go you here a click. that way when you DO play you will already have the habit of pulling the trigger to its fullest extent.
Conclusion: IN CONCLUSION to my incredibly boring review. i think that this is an awesome cocker for someone's first one. NOT first gun, but first cocker. I hope this review helps you out.

My first gun was a Bruizer second spyder compact - autococker is nothing near them.
Marker Setup: All stock
Pure energy 48/3000 nitro tank
green macro lines
S.P. flame drop forward
Recommended
Upgrades:
The barrel, although it is very accurate, it is a bit on the loud side, not like a cannon, but loud, People say the front pneumatics thing is a good upgrade too
Strengths: Accuracy - looks - can shoot fast enough
Weaknesses: none so far - manual is bad, maby 3 pages long seriously
Review: I've heard people whine and whine about cleaning is a hassle, no it isnt, (i myself have never used anything better than a spyder before) therefor i do not know much about this gun. but cleaning, you pop out the bolt check to see if anything ball breaks, or anything is in the bolt spot, its really easy, there is a quick pin you just pop out, it take sprlly 3 seconds. After your clean the bolt you shoot some oil through your gun by dropping 4-6 drops of 3 in 1 or sewing machine oil into the input airline tubbey thingy. After that you whipe down your gun, takes a matter of 5 minutes, not that tuff. I would like to stress i just got this gun about a week ago - therefor i do not know about reliablity and such - so i will not comment on it, i can say that it hasnt given me any probs in this past week or 2.
Accuracy - shooting from approxmatly 50 ft away from a wall, WITH THE STOCK BARREL, paintballs were grouping in about 3 inches. its very accurate. its moderatly quiet w/ the stock barrel, like i said before, its not a cannon. The milling is very well done and its looks very cool you should expect people wanting to shoot it. One of the coolest thing about cockers is the back block thing moving back and forth when you shoot it.

One thing thats not really a problem you just have to remember this in play - dont not keep your finger on the trigger, if you press on the trigger a little bit and dont fire, it will "leak" well not really leak air, but air will be used up - THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM OF THE GUN

The gun will shoot fast enough, meaning you can compete with guys that have angels - to guys that have tippmans.

One Minor bad thing about the cocker is its a little heavy, going from a spyder to it, there is a bt of weight difference, but it is no biggy, i will just get bigger muscles holding it :)

Conclusion: This gun is very good, it wold be a good buy because its 1. accurate 2. its cool 3. its ACCURATE

its a very very nice gun

Weaknesses: Nothing I didn't cause.
Review: Well to start off, I loved this thing. I lay awake and think to myself why did I sell her? But on to the review.

Stock Days March 2003-May 2003
I purchased this marker during a fit with another poor marker, Sys X Vengeance. And it treated me well from the time it came out of the box. My first time out the stock regulator was blown, it came broken, oh well. My store gave me a free Black Magic Regulator so I was golden from day one. I had a first day of joy, no chops, I even learned how to make the trigger pull shorter my first day out. I came home and cleaned it up, I played stock for about two months, no new barrel or anything.

First Upgrades June 2003
My first upgrades came from annoyance of not always hitting with the stock barrel, and the grips were a little too stiff for my liking. So I bought a J&J Edge Kit and Dye Sticky 3's. The barrel helped my game out alot. My cocker also came untimed for the first time during this period, I had my store time it because the LPR was not externally adjustable adn I wasn't too educated on how to do it.

Second Batch of Upgrades September 2003
I decided to get some performance upgrades, starting with a New 3-way and Externally Adjustable LPR. For these parts I chose a Shocktech Bomb 3-Way and Palmer's Micro Rock. The Micro Rock made it easy enough for me to time the cocker myself, which I learned and have since mastered the art of it. The 3-way allowed to shorten the stock hinge pull even further down to 2 mm, yes it is was tiny for a mech cocker.

3rd Set of Ups December 2003
I finally got sick of the hinge frame, and decided to sell it and get a slider frame, ANS Quickfire was my choice. I loved this thing, I installed it myself and never looked back.

The Golden Age December 2003-March 2004
I used the cocker with no problems, and had it tricked out almost fully except new valve which seemed unnecessary to me. I could take on anybody with confidence in my marker, but the ROF held me back. I could only get 7 BPS with the slider even though I loved it. I sold my marker for $575 on a forum and bought a Dragon Timmy.

Saying Goodbye
It was very hard for me to ship this, I matured in the game of paintball using it. I went from stupid noob to experienced cocker user, anyone who knows me personally can vouch for that. I am able to fix any mechanical cocker at the field, and have many gratitudes from people who didn't know me, but knew I knew cockers. Lovely piece of machinery.
Conclusion: You know it is a great marker when you can't let it go. My old markers I was happy to get rid of. This one I was sad to see go, I strongly needed the money, if I could do it all over again, I would have done even more things with it, probably an e-blade and half-blocking. If you are looking at cockers and want to learn and upgrade as you go, this marker is definetely for you.

Drop/cradle-Matter of personal preference
Strengths: Reliabilty. Once you get it going, it will keep going. And Accuracy
Weaknesses: Timing and shortstroking, the antagonist of cocker users, master them, and master your cocker.
Review: The autococker is a brilliant design. Everything works in unison to work the gun as a whole. While this makes it great, it also makes it hard to time. Every thing must be in timing with everything else for the gun to work properly. That will be the major dillema with all cocker owners in the first month or so of owning the cocker. Mastering timing will be like breaking down a wall. One you do it, you will be free. Free to exploit the cocker to its full potenital. When that happens, you will think the cocker is the best gun ever. Get a good setup, and you will be able to own the field. (Warning: You will not leagally own the field, but with proper skill, you will be a formidable player) The cocker is a smooth operator, and will always get the job done. Get a hinge, or an E frame, better pneumatics, anything can be upgraded, even the valve jam nut! Endless possibilites. Like the color blue? You can get an all blue cocker. Even pink! You can't go wrong with a cocker.(Disclaimer: You CAN go wrong if you don't know what you are doing, learn to time from an expert, in person, not the internet) The gun is also fast. You can get a good rate of fire with a slide frame, faster with a hinge, and if you, get an E-Frame it will be faster than your sister.
Conclusion: Cockers are firm, sturdy guns. One word people will despise, timing. It has a hype of being difficult, but it is not. Go to your proshop, ask them to teach it to you, and they will. It will be worth it, i guarantee it. Cockers are accurate, consistent, small, (with the right cradle) and super reliable. Better yet, the sound of the back block cycling is like music. Most important thing about owning a cocker, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and if it is broke, don't touch it unless you have been shown how to fix a cocker by an expert in person.

Marker Setup: Autococker 2002 vert. feed with whole Shoctech Front block kit. Shocktech suppa fly bolt. Dye drop forward and CI Adapter. Revolution hopper. Pure energy Nitro 68/4500 psi nitro tank. Lets not forget the good ol, trusty Dye ultralight. A hinge trigger came with it to.
Recommended
Upgrades:
All that I have listed above.
Strengths: Everything!! with the ultralight it is sooo quiet and fast with my hinge on it. So many people compliment my gun on the field.Lighter than my Spyder too. I also heard that it is still a kick booty gun with all stock on it.
Weaknesses: Well..... Some of my hoses on the three way snapped but since my paintball supplier did the pnuematics they fixed it for free!
Conclusion: All in all this is a great upgradeble gun for pros and newbies

Review: ---The Good---
Solid marker, even stock
Very Upgradeable and customizable
Good Range and Accuracy
Popular (you're going to be able to get help for it easier)
Good Price Range (350 if you shop around, and thats not too bad)
--------------------

---The Bad----
Not much really, the stock barrel leaves something to be desired, though its useable (ive seen worse)
Maintenace can be a bit tricky when your learning what to do at first, if you get a pro-shop to show you how to it becomes a lot easier. Overall, its not half as bad as many people make it out to be.
Really should try and run it off of nitro
-------------------
Conclusion: overall, this is a great gun and i love it. Yeah, the stock barrel sucks, but think about this, most people replace theirs anyways, and would you want to pay extra cash for something you may replace right away. Other than that this gun is overall great, whether your playing woods or speedball.
