Tippman 98 custom with reactive triger. 14 inch sniper barrel. Rubber front grip. Allen shoulder stock.
Strengths:
THey are bent to wrap around your body with a horizontal harness.
Weaknesses:
None really, better color maybe
Review:
I like these tubes. I got mine at Michigan Monster game last year for $4.00 each. Now I don't look like I have wings. My pack is a massive 6+2 with 2 tank pouchs in the middle. I am a big guy but when I use the straight style tubes they stuck out like wings. I always hit my elbows on them. THese tubes are curved to fit around your body and stay closer. I like the lids, they were tight at first but now they are perfect (after they broke in) THe lids must be attached with gorilla glue or something because they don't budge.
Conclusion:
Excellent tubes from a good company, I recommend them to anyone who wants to carry a Horizontal pack especially those bigger guys like me.
All of your pods...generic pods, fat boys, locklids, you name it.
Marker Setup:
Turtle Autococker Half Block Custom Milling and Anodization
All Turtle Internals
All Belsales Front Block Pneumatics
Nickel Palmer's Pursuit Shop Fatty Regulator
WGP kaner Kit
KAPP Reflex II Nickel Hinge Frame
Dye Stickies 3
Halo B (Overkill on a mech cocker, but who cares? Its off my other gun anyway...)
Strengths:
Cool design, contours to your body
Weaknesses:
Stiff lid
Review:
An APP company rep was demonstrating a metric butt load of stuff...I got to try the infamous jamtastic hopper, and these. I was impressed with the quality of the material, as APP usually doesnt have the best products. Well, I tossed them in my pack and played a game. I really liked having the lower profile of the rounded pods, as I am a small person, and horizontal packs stick out a lot. I felt lighter and tighter in the bunker, and the pods gracefully hugged my body as I slid.
Conclusion:
Nice pods, from a meh company. Sitff lid gives em a 9.
Fat boy 140 round tubes; didn't like the coloring on them (but otherwise good tubes)
-they don't wrap around your body like the wrapper does
Marker Setup:
Black Model 98 Custom (polished internals and silenced bolt)
20 ounce Atomic Energy CO2 bottle with anti-syphon (and APP Butt plate)
DYE 12" Stainless Steel Barrel
Adco Sure Shot Red Dot Sight
6 stage X-chamber
LAPCO rear velocity adjuster
empire reloader agitated hopper
Strengths:
helps eliminate the pod profile associated with horizontal packs. Very nice ammo capacity
Weaknesses:
well, like any horizontal pod they have a wider profile than a vert pack
Review:
The pods themselves works very nicely; the caps on them are tight and the springs are strong. They open when you want them to and stay closed when you want them closed; I have not spilled any paint with them.
Clear green coloring is kind of cool; you can see through them while still having a cool kind of subdued coloration.
Since they have that wrap shape, I believe they can hold more balls than a straight setup.
Conclusion:
Great set of rec pods. $5 a piece is a pretty good price. Only get them if you have a horizontal pack though.
Rating:
9 out of 10
