Strengths: Easy to install

Review: This detent owns all the stock and the other detents on the market. Most aftermarket detents are just like the stock ones but in chrome instead of brass. This is the only adjustable detent I have ever seen on the market for Autocockers. It takes a little work to find the right adjustment for the paint and the bolt but a good rule of thumb is get it as far in as you can so your bolt will still move and that should keep the paint were it is supposed to be.
Conclusion: Definitely one of my favorite parts on my gun. Looks nice in chrome and what can I say just makes it easy to use and paint and bolt combo.

Review: Installed on a 2k right feed genuine WGP body. Body is dust back and has not been re-annodized or anything. Also using a stock WGP 2k aluminum bolt with no detente slot. After installing the new ball detente the bolt would not pass the detente. I adjusted the detente to pull the ball as far up as possible and it still did not retract enough to let the bolt through. What can I say, this detente did not work with stock parts. I put the stock ball detente back in and all was fine. I'd give this product 1 but at least it's somewhat innovative, so I think a 2 is in order. I'd contact the company (www.hybrid-paintball.com) for warranty replacement but their site is "under construction" at the moment and that would make their Lifetime guarantee rather useless at the same time. Returning back to the store and sucking in the restocking fee. Not a happy first time hybrid buyer.
Conclusion: Buy something else. Maybe some work and some don't, I don't know, but why take your chance on something that just holds balls in place?

Review: My cocker has the twist lock bolt system, so i can't get any aftermarket bolts and my old detent was wearing it out a bit (needed to be replaced), so i asked around and found this detent. What i liked about it is that's it's adjustable...so i can set it to where i want it and it won't be that hard on my bolt (very hard to find a bolt for my gun). As looks go, i actually like it...when you shoot it pops in and out and looks cool, but yeah..could maybe use a jewel or something. I would give this detent a 9/10 as it's not perfect but very close.
Conclusion: I think this is great product, it does what it's suppose to do and if your looking for a ball detent you should definitely look into this one.

Review: Ok i got theses i loved them at first cause i could adjust them as much as you want but you can do that with the killa products one too which im probly gett soon and ill keep theses as a back up even those the killa ones cant blow out what so ever. but when i took the gun on the feild the last feww times you would have to tighten the detents right before every game and if you shot really fast or shot alot of paint the one on the vision side would fall out and then the mettal thing covering the eye fell out. its ok but if you have time durring a game i would titen the ball detents with ur hang but when ur in a tourny u dont have that much time if any and it takes a whille to find the detents and stuff if you dont know were they fell out
Conclusion: i would get these probly cause they were only like 25 buks when i bought them and i needed new ones but if you have the extra money (25 more buks) for the V2 killa products then get those i think they are esier to tighten so i heard

Review: EDITED 9/5/05

After a while of using this detent, it grows on you. It does adjust simply enough if you can find the right allen wrench. Does hold paintballs back.

If this had a replacement delrin ball or was at the very least rebuildable, it might score more with me. A delrin ball seems like a great idea, so it'd be even softer on your bolt and paint. It is adjustable, so why not?

Now, I had trouble with this detent at first, but it was MORE than likely errors on my part. I got it fit right.

Just screw the detent in until the o-ring on the threads is flush with the body. Adjust the detent until you are satisfied. Make sure it holds the paintball, and contacts the bolt as minimally as possible. This will deter alot of damage that your bolt may take.

I _obviously_ didn't buy this for looks, I bought it for the fact that my bolt may cycle in peace.

Pros:
Adjustable - so it's easy on the paint and bolt.

Cons:
Looks - could use a jewel, even though I don't go for looks as a main point in anything.

Profile - the less detent in the breech, the more it juts out of your marker. The way I hold it makes it so it hit me if it missed anyway, but it matters to some people.

Only comes in chrome or black

The adjustment screw can be easily lost if you don't take action. I almost lost it, until I found it on the tip of my allen wrench. Which I didn't back it out all the way.

I gave this an 8, only because of the negative that you can lose that screw, the rest mean little to me enough to affect the rating. I now give it a 9, being is that I haven't yet lost that little screw, and it's managed to not piss me off.

And, I don't know if it is just my detent, but the spring is a little stiff. But, that might mean you'd need less detent in the breech to hold the paintball - less bolt to detent contact.
Conclusion: I'd say go for it, unless your getting a detent for looks. This thing is kinda ugly. Performs well. I'm bumping it up from an 8 to a 9.
