The latest version of the J2 is more than a collection of parts, it is the collection of experience necessary to make a paintball marker worthy of the Chipley name. It is a full 1/3 lighter than the original J2, and has more features than any other production gun. New milling, and standard gloss anno makes this look great. The E-ready version doesn't include a three-way, or grip frame.

14" Carbon Fiber Barrel System (sizers include .683, .685, .687, .689, optional .681, .691)
light weight Delrin bolt
Clamping feedneck
color choices of Red, Blue, Black, and Pewter
Laser engraved and milled super light
Hand inspected and Tuned.
Product Availability
The Chipley Custom Machine J2 E-Ready Autococker is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Upgrades:
If you own a 2003 CCM J2, get a better barrel i.e. Dye Ultralite or a barrel kit i.e. CCM Carbon Barrel Kit. The 2004 CCM J2 comes stock with the CCM Carbon Barrel Kit, so you will not need to upgrade the barrel.
Get an E-Blade or E-Blade 2 (when it comes out). The E-Blade will make your J2 extremely fast.
Strengths: Accurate, Light, Fast (with E-Blade), Does not Chop (Eye)
Weaknesses: None
Review: This is an excellent marker. With the E-Blade installed, the J2 is extremely fast. It keeps up with any high-end marker on the market. I play at the local paintball field with guys who own Angels, Timmys, and other high-end marker and my marker keeps up with those reputed "fast" markers.
The accuracy is unmatched. I have the CCM Carbon Barrel kit installed on my J2, which makes it the most accurate marker I have ever used. You can lay paint, one on top of the other. The J2 is an autococker, enough said.
The feel of the marker is great. The marker is very light due to all of the machining done to the body. Chipley cut this body down to create one of the lightest autocockers on the market. Compared to a 04 WGP Autococker, the difference in weight is very noticable.
The J2 is also predrilled for the eye that comes with the E-Blade. Install the eye, set the E-Blade to Factory Fast setting and you're done setting up your J2. The eye will not allow the marker to chop paint, which is a huge plus. No more disassembling and cleaning the marker after a chop.
This marker is a perfect 10. Enough Said.
Conclusion: This kit comes with everything you need to build a great marker. Buying the E-Ready kit will save you money because it does not come with the mechanical trigger which costs $100.00. When you upgrade to the E-Blade, you will never go back to the mechanical set up. Buy it, build it, use it. This is an excellent marker. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

Review: My 2005 J2 (please see photo - it's black/blue fade with an E2) is the fourth or fifth CCM gun I've owned. If you've owned CCM products before than this review will be what you expected, a review of the greatest gun ever made.

Hands down, this is the sweetest cocker ever. No photo in the world can really describe the milling on this gun. It's so light that it's unbelievable. When you get a CCM J2, you instantly feel like you own the best gun on the market, and probably the most unique commercial marker ever produced. The reason is simple. No CCM gun ever leaves the factory without Rod Thompson or Garret Maxwell (from Dynasty) making sure the gun performs like it's supposed to. Furthermore, you can call and shoot the s#@$ with the CCM staff and they'll help you as best they possibly can. If that fails, send the gun back and they'll make it work like a champ. Either Melissa or Laurie will answer the phone and they couldn't be nicer.

On to the review...
The gun already comes with greatest barrel (carbon fiber kit), bolt, LPR, and ram available. All you need to do is install the Eblade or frame of your choice and go. I'm not going to say that this gun runs with my Timmy for speed, but let's face it, it's a cocker. There's no physical way to make a cocker faster than about 18 bps,MAX. I don't care what people do. Anybody who says their Karnivore shoots 19+ bps is lying. My gun is fast, has no bounce in the trigger and rips 14 bps no problem. This isn't as fast as my Timmy, but it's a whole lot more accurate and cerainly quieter than the Timmy or my friends DM5's. Let's not even compare the gun to Angels. An Angel couldn't hold my J2's jockstrap. In my opinion, there's no comparison. I've owned Timmies, DM's, Angels, Shockers, and all sorts of other cockers, and while their were faster guns, there weren't better guns. That's only my opinion, take it for what it's worth. Go find one of these guns and see for yourself...you will believe.
Conclusion: Without a doubt, the best gun ever. I give it a 10 because I can't give it an 11.

Upgrades:
a racegun or eblade kit. a new barrel. a new bolt.
Strengths: don't need to waste money buying extra parts
Weaknesses: bolt & barrel
Review: First off, this kit includes all nessisary springs, valve/hammer kit, lpr, ram, bolt, clamping feed tube, asa, 'works' in-line reg, front/back blocks, pump arm, cocking rod, beaver tail, a smartparts barrel (i think it was a proggesive), a bolt, and a predrilled holt for the eye (i set up an eblade on the one i got and it only have one side of the body drilled for the eye-if you are like me and prefer the racegun frames, then you might need to drill your own hole).

I presonally love the ccm cockers and especially their lpr, valve/hammer kit, in-line reg, and feed tube. It is also nice that you can buy a 'kit' for the electronic frame/solenoid kits. If you do buy this for an eblade (etc.) than it is a must that you buy a new ram, stock very good, but a freeflow would keep up better, and a couple of qev's. If you do the gun will sycle a lot better/faster. Also the barrel found stock on the ccm is the same found stock on the impulse. it is good but no matter what i say, it is still a 30$ barrel. I haven't had any problems with the gun's bolt yet (it only set it up and haven't heard from the person yet, hopefully ever), but i have seen other ccm bolt like this that have broken in half. Other than that though, i think the bolt preforms great.
Conclusion: In conclusion if you want an electro, top of the line, on a level with few others, cocker, get this ccm body kit, a freeflow ram + 2qev's, a freeflow bolt and a new barrel. i got to shoot the one i set ut so i could set dwell, etc. and the groupings and consistancy was great. happy shooten and merry christmas.
