This aluminum foregrip replaces the plastic foregrip that comes with the Tippmann 98 and 98 custom. The quality of this product is amazing, its very well built. Similar to the Lapco aluminum foregrip but it's thicker, which makes it a better size match to the connection point on the 98 body. If you run a HPA tank and/or don't want to run an expansion chamber, this product is an excellent choice.
Product Availability
The Dead On Paintball Aluminum Fore Grip is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Review:
This aluminum grip is an excellent choice for those looking to replace the stock low grade plastic grip that comes stock on the 98. This product is a good size match with the standard grip size (not like the smaller diameter of the Lapco model) and the color match is pretty close to the matte black color of the 98. This grip is also longer, which makes it easier to grip than the stock short grip.
This product is a great choice for those looking to replace the stock grip and don't want to go with an expansion chamber or have an HPA tank. This product makes the 98 feel more sturdy. Great Product.
Conclusion:
Great fit, sturdy, durable, great match, great deal. Go out and get it.
98C w/J&J Ceramic, DOP Drop Forward, Rocket Cock II, GTA Double Trigger, Aluminum front grip, polished internals.
Strengths:
Does not feel like its about to break, can be painted.
Weaknesses:
Not really a weakness but a warning: Heavy because it's solid metal...
Review:
IMO, the stock 98c foregrip is pretty ugly, and mine always wobbled in the gun and felt cheap.
I bought this grip for the looks and a tighter feel. At first, this grip wobbled a little in my gun too (so maybe the wobble was always from my gun). After I painted it, the wobble went away completely.
** I uploaded a pic today, should be pbreview-approved soon for your viewing pleasure.
It has a hole on the bottom for you to put your barrel plug, but I was never able to use it because my drop forward was in the way.
The grip is made of solid aluminum - so your gun will be a little heavier.
I may not need to say this, but if you are planning to install a gas-through fore grip some time, hold off on buying this. It is a grip only and you can't run CO2 or HPA through it.
Conclusion:
Get this if you are tired of the cheap look and feel of the stock 98c grip.

I play scenario. this grip helps me get a lower grip on the gun lifting it higher and making it easier for me to get through doors and around things. It was on my silver timmy, which is more of a speed ball set up. this grip rocks. its no much nicer looking than the stock grip. and if you have a bigger hand it helps a lot. the stock grip makes the gun feel more like a little toy to me and the DOP grip makes it look a little meaner too in my opinion.
