I bought the entire gun built by AGD for $450. I think it was a very good deal. If you add up all the parts it would take to build a Tac-One from scratch it is a heck of a deal.
The Tac-One body has integrated "picatinny" style rails to mount all sorts of gizmos on. From red-dot sights to night vision. They will clamp on the side, top or front rail of the Tac-One. There are even sling swivels available that clamp on them. This is AGDs answer for the scenario or rec-baller. The Automag has long been known for reliability and quality workmanship....you get that with this marker. |

What's there to say? This is the standard by which other tactical accessories should be judged.
The Tac-One body upgrades any Classic Automag or Minimag by replacing the existing body with one that accepts Autococker threaded barrels and Angel threaded feednecks. Every serious tournament marker uses Autococker threaded barrels so this brings any 'mag in line with that.
The Tac-One body is the same as the ULE 'mag body except it has Picatinny (7/8") rails.
The choice of Angel threading for the feedneck is a bit of a mixed blessing. Angels are starting to be considered old-school so they're a bit more difficult to find than some of the more popular thread styles.
Installation of this body is easy - just disassemble your Automag, remove the twist-lock assembly from the rail and screw everything back together.
At first I wasn't sure if I'd get used to the angled rails as I've gotten used to a red-dot sight directly on top of the marker. After a month or so of playing with it, I prefer the Tac-One angled rails. Compared to a rail directly on top of a marker with an offset feedneck and 45-degree elbow, the Tac-One body is much lower profile and lets you play very tight.

Highly recommended if you have an Automag you want to add tactical rails to. Simple installation, as with likely any 'mag upgrade, makes this an easy upgrade, if you don't mind forking over the cash for it. |
