Empire Paintball now offers a single 2-piece Custom Barrel, as found in pre-configured sets in their 4-, 7-, and 10-piece barrel kits. You can order the individual back pieces specific to your gun's thread and choose your bore size of .681, .684, .687, .689, .691, .693, or .696, and pick between black aluminum or polished stainless steel. You then order the individual front piece desired, available in lengths totalling 10", 12", 14", 16", or 18" when you add them to the back piece, and pick between black, blue, red, or silver aluminum.
No inserts to get damaged. Precision machining for a perfect fit between pieces, and micro honing equals superb accuracy. Not a pre-packaged set means you pick exactly what you want, without anything extra that you don't. Literally thousands of possibilities. |

Could use a little more porting for quietness, but who cares for air-ball. |

| Review: |
All of my friends told me how nice their Empire barrel kits were, but that they found that they really only used the .687 or .689 all of the time. I wanted an inexpensive barrel, because the stock barrel on my Mongoose is way too big bore. I went with a black .689 with Spyder threads for my Mongoose, and chose a 14" black tip because I play air-ball mostly, and am usually a back player.
I actually used to have a 2000 LCD Angel with an 88/4500 Armageddon, and that's where I've used the Dye and the J&J barrels. I had to sell everything though because I needed money.
My Mongoose shoots just as fast and accurate now with my .689 Empire 2-piece as my Angel ever did. I can shoot ropes with it now, even walking the trigger to 15 bps, as I shoot semi-auto only for air-ball. The accuracy is amazing. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Anyone who wants one upgrade barrel, and wants it in an exact size/length/color, should absolutely buy an Empire 2-piece. This barrel is as good as anything on the market today. Like I said, I used to have an Angel LCD with Dye and J&J barrels, and my gun is just as good as an Angel now that I got my Empire 2-piece barrel. And you can order both pieces for about $55-60 from most websites, which is a lot cheaper than a Boomstick or Freak Jr. |

| Review: |
This barrel is very accurate and very light. you must try it out or go and get one. You won't regret it. I have played paintball a long time and this is the barrel to get. Mine is a chrome and black two peice. the total length is 10". It is a bore size of .685, which seems to huge just about most paintballs just right. Works fantastic with scorch balls. |

Very good performance all around some of the best, looks good |

| Weaknesses: |
Not the highest quality control from empire |
 |
| Review: |
Well basically it is an ultralite knockoff. empire tips even fit ul backs, they are so similar. i would dare say, it is as good as the ultralite, and the great thing is it's available as multi bore kits for great prices. the one category the ultralite has it beat in is quality control. also, the ultralite tip threads seem a little stronger, but that could also be related to quality control. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
If you can find these for a great price, go for it they are nice barrels. |
