| Review: |
-I began looking into a light, self lubricating bolt with a big exhaust hole for my (various) pre-2k cockers. Spudnuk'l came to my attention since they were less than half the price of an AKA Lightning bolt AND came with the pin retaining screw installed (something $15 extra on a lightning bolt)
-I have used a pre-2k custom made bolt purchased directly from Spudnuk'l and a 2K+ purchased from a distributer on e-bay. Both perform as advertised and are as efficient as an AKA lightning bolt or the custom 'Cardiac Arrest' (a limited run from Fox4 Paintball in Massachusetts) I have used.
-While I have rarely seen actual wear in the top-tube it is possible with a metal bolt. I don't worry about that with a nylatron bolt.
-On the spudnuk'l website you will find actual technical information on WHY this bolt is better than others....not some advertising hype but reall information. For that alone spud deserves attention. (I am a firm believer in knowing WHY something is supposed to be a better product.)
-I did have a long wait with several e-mails when dealing with Spud Directly for the pre-2k bolt. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
-I like this product and intend on getting another pre-2k bolt to use with my other cocker body (it has a matching custom annodized pre-2k back block ). I found it lives up to its advertised properties and performs as advertised. |

| Strengths: |
I wasn't able to use it long enough because the bolt was too tight. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Not milled very accurately, poor fit. |

| Review: |
First of all, I ordered two bolts. One for the Diablo and one for my sons Superstock. I only received one and made numerous attempts to contact Spudnukl/pbbolts.com but without any success.
So, if you want to gamble go ahead.
Also, I wasn't very impressed with the quality of the product, and after he shafted me I wasn't about to order anything else from him.
For the record, he may make a decent bolt, but I would rather work with somebody who is honest.
|
 |
| Conclusion: |
The bolt did not fit the marker (even without o-rings). After about 20 cycles it swelled to a point where the bolt wouldn't return so that the breech was open. Also Spudnukl or PbBolts.com has a bad reputation for not sending products to people who order them. In fact the guy apparently works from his house. So, my suggestion is that you avoid purchasing from them |
