Advanced venting and throat design allows faster ball feeding with less blowback
Eliminates 45 degree bend in standard feed system, a problem with mechanical hoppers.
The Rufus Dawg CenterFeed Kit is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.
stock feed, lapco pro feed- this one is best/ fastest
98c ebolt with tons of upgrades including rufus dawg centerfeed
98c rt tons of ups and centerfeed
Fastest feed for 98c
I've owned tippmann's since i started playing twelve years ago. they are very durable and upgradable guns for weekend players and players who like to customize their markers to be unique. when i saw the centerfeed from rufus dawg i had to try it. i needed a feed system that could smoothly and quickly get paintballs into the gun so i wouldn't chop even at very high rates of fire. my 98c rt is now capable of firing 18 bps and rarely chops (maybe 3 balls all year) without the centerfeed, i would chop all the time- like 12-15 a day, so i'd end up having to turn the rof down so it would chop paint- defeating the point of having it set up like i do. i also put a centerfeed on my 98c e-bolt even though the stock set up did work for it. the centerfeed still gives the gun better balance and smoother feeding, maybe overkill on an e-bolt gun though unless you have a modded one that shoot faster (the stock board/ ram won't go more than 13bps- not slow but not fast either)
If you'd like a more balanced gun and faster and smoother feed to your 98/ 98c- get this. it looks great, is durable, and makes your gun stand out.
98c with rufus dawg centerfeed kit and rufus dawg double trigger. Ricochet 2k Hopper
The drill needed is a very large size that many people dont have.
This is a good kit that turns your 98c from right feed to center feed. This makes the gun balanced and in theory makes the gun load faster. Very easy instructions and it just plain looks good. Very good product. Only problem is that the neck is plastic...could break if bad enough.
This is worth the money and it makes your gun different then all the other 98cs
14" SP teardrop
bob long reg w/ high pressure vigilante spring
rufus dawg centerfeed kit
Centerfeeded instead of 45*.
Less hopper sticking out on side to side shooting.
Hex key required that has a strange size.
Should have mechanic do the drilling.
STRENGTHS: This thing is awesome. Even though it is made out of plastic, it is extremely strong. I was playing woodsball, tripped head first, and dropped my gun right on the hopper.......... not a scratch at all. This has also helped me with my breaking, ever since i put this on i have only broken about 4 out of about 4 cases.
WEAKNESSES: One of the major weaknesses is that you must do major work on the body of your tippmann to get this centerfeed to work. I HIGHLY suggest asking a mechanic to drill the holes for you because if you mess up once, you will need to buy new recievers... and that will set you back an extra 60+ bucks that you couldve used on paint or a new barrel. The second weakness on this is that the screw that comes with it to tighten the feedneck is a very strange sized hex key, I would suggest that you buy a new hex screw ( a bigger size since the one that comes with it is extremely tiny). I believe the size for the screw is 10-32 x about 3/4" (you can buy it long and then cut it). The third weakness is that it is made out of plastic, which is not a problem for me since it has not shown ONE sign of breaking down on me. I think that the reason they made it out of plastic is so that you dont scratch the body of your tippmann when you put it on.
My 2 cents? It is an awesome product and VERY much worth your money for your tippmann. This product is a MUST if you have a R/T or an EBolt because it will help you feed faster and much more reliably since you dont have a 45* angle feeding your gun. Get it, and it will not let you down. I'm giving it a 10 out of 10 since it is an awesome product and it will not fail you. I would give it a 9.5 because of the hex key and use of mechanic, but since 9.5 rounded up is a 10, thats what it gets
none. I am a Tippman loyalist, from the SL68-II to the Custom Pro. This is a first for me.
*98 Custom (RT, Double trigger, Center feed adapator, Ice Cold and the All American Barrel, wicked bolt)
* E-Custom Pro (expansion chamber, Freak and All American barrels, rear cocking bolt, Rufus Dawg set up -Center feed, Double Trigger, drop foward, Wicked bolt)
Original elbow gave problems.
Must a profesional cut in to you gun.
A metric allen wrench is required.
This center feed for your Tippman is more than a unique feature. It really supports your gun. This product is ranked with barrel porting, nitrogen, drop forwards and good aftermarket bolts. The adaptor provides positive ball feeding into your gun. This feature makes its presents known during the most ferocious fire fights.
The clean profile has been adopted by other gun manufactures from the Spyders to Bob Long markers. Aiming has never been better for the left handed Tippman loyalists. Ask A5 users and many will say the cyclone feed system tends to be a sore thumb.
My original desire for purchasing this product was to get away from the elbow. It has caused few problems among us including the pins falling out and cracking around the pin area. The elbow fails to give a "solid" feel either.
The adaptor is made of a strong plastic. I have had zero problems with my first installation and immediately purchased my E-Custom Pro with the upgrade. I already owned an E-hopper and after modifying my double trigger, I can out shoot the 15 bps automatic fire mode using the Turbo mode. (Cyclone feeder is rated at 15 bps).
You must have a professional cut the hole into your gun. This looks like a tricky process. I had my gun cut at Rufus Dawg and they do a terrific job. They asked me to send my gun halves with out the guts. When you get it back, make the trip to the store and buy the wrenches you need for it. no more problems. Heck, spyders are all metric.
This addition is irreversible.
Many benefits to this product. It is well worth the price tag. Although I rarely give a 10 rating I feel the quality and the benefits are justified.
98c with dye barrel, xchamber, toxic performance double trigger, psycho ballistics drop, rufus center feed, sandblasted with light grey paint, eggy2
Balances gun, looks nice, seems to allow smoother feeding of balls
Pain to install, feedneck doesn't tighten down very much, somewhat expensive; $30
Overall this is a bad upgrade for the 98 custom. Its sturdy and looks really sharp and seems to allow for faster feeding since its centerfeed. When getting it definitly think about having your proshop installing it....it is a pain in the a$$ to install and if you dont have the paitience, time, tools, or money to do it then just have your proshop do it...thats what I wish i would have done. One more weakness is the screw that tightens your acutal feedneck doesnt work at all...so you might have to drill out the hole and just use the old nut and bolt from your stock feedneck.
Its not a bad product...its a little over priced in my opinion for its quality but if you want a centerfeed its either this or a $100 set-up from kp-customs....i choose this
