Odyssey's new Ballistic Pack system has the tensioning system built into the pack, not the belt, greatly improving comfort.
It incorporates features designed by the medical industry.
Ultra lightweight, super comfortable, lumbar support and it is vented to breath.
Belts are available small through extra large.
Packs are available as a 2+2, 3+3, 4+4, with more coming. |

Got this pack for under $20 shipped. Its advertised as a 3+2, but it really can hold 6 pods if you store one horizontally. The belt system comes with it and is super easy to adjust. All of the pods are easily accessible.
The + loops fold under when not in use (thanks to velcro) and keeps the pack nice and small. Great for front guys. Since the pack can expand and hold up to 6 pods, this pack is great for mid/back guys as well.
The pods do not stick out past the body like the 4+1 pack I owned previously and the pods do not flap around like the Redz 2+1 pack I also have owned previously.
The belt is big and comfortable. Its hard to explain, but the belt is constructed in 2 pieces, a wide velcro part and a slimmer elastic part. The elastic part attaches to the velcro part and can be adjusted so that it tightens or loosens. The pack also seems to support the back and feels kind of like a weight lifter's belt. All in all, very comfortable.
My only negative I can see is that it relies exclusively on velcro. The velcro will stop working sooner or later (a couple of years...its just the nature of velcro), but at the price, Ill have no problem replacing the pack after a while.

| Conclusion: |
Great pack at a great price. When you consider that competing packs cost 2x as much, you can see why that this pack is definitely a great buy. |
