Marker Setup: I use a PMI Piranha GTi (Semi-Auto) With a system x 14" barrel
Recommended
Upgrades:
The Barrel is not 'necessary' but it sure helps your accuracy, quiets the gun down a but, and gives you a little farther shot. I strongly recommend a electric hopper, because this gun does tend to double feed sometimes.
Strengths: Light
Quiet
Field Strippable
Accurate
C02 Efficent
Good Lookin
Sensitive Trigger
Weaknesses: No Grip on Handle
Cocker kind of gets in way
Review: My first gun was a Brass Eagle Marauder, I fired it a dozen times and realized it does exactly what my lawnmower does, chops up and throws. It lasted me three days until I returned it. Anyways I needed a new gun so I went to the local Pro Shop and I picked up a PMI Pranha for 169.00 CAN, the guy at the counter recommended I get a new barrel so I bought myself a nice 80.00 dollar barrel. So it came to about 260.00. I brought it home and shot a few rounds into my backyard, I was impressed, it was a light gun with good accuracy (even with stock barrel) and it was very quiet. I fired about 50 rounds, never breaking a ball, but the only problem it found was that it double fed the balls quite often. The Gun uses very little Co2 so i can get over 500 rounds, but it depends on the weather too. Another good thing is that the gun is very upgradable and takes all Spyder parts.
Conclusion: This is an awsome gun for an awsome price, and I recommend it to everybody new to the sport, or even veterans. It can be upgraded to Tournament Level in no time. I know im going to enjoy it for a long while.

Review: Ok i went to new york city paintball today and i rented a Piranha GTI. ( i wrote a review about New york city paintball) I found that this gun was inaccurate but light and with heavy firepower. It doenst eat up all the CO2.
Overall this is a nice gun. especially for the price. besides all of this gun's downfalls it is stiil awesome to use. (GO GET IT)
Conclusion: I think you should get off of that computer chair stop reading this review and buy this nice gun. it is awesome.

Weaknesses: Grips, Some other stock parts aren't great.
Review: I got this gun to replace my high maintence VL gun. This gun is very easy to use I haven't had any problems with it at all. Its very upgradeable almost as much as the Tippmann 98. You can turn it from a stock gun to a pretty awesome Tourney gun in no time. Really needs a new barrel, the 9" stock barrel is better then some stock barrels (Brass Eagle) but should be replaced ASAP. Finally I like the stacked pipe look of this gun, so I chose it over the SRT cause I can just put a Flush cocking system in it later.
Conclusion: Really good gun, you can upgrade the S**T out of it. Works well if you take care of it. So I give is a 8 for stock but a 10 for potential.

TOTTALY a new barrel. The stock is made cheaply but it is decent.
I also recommend a new drop forward and a hp tank.
This gun is really for style cause it works PERFECT.
Strengths: Accuracy
Design
how simple to fix and strip
Weaknesses: Not alot of upgrades
Trigger(Plastic)
Review: This is a really great gun. It is very accurate and does not hog on air. It came tuned when i got it and the first shots were perfect. I brought it to the field and went up against a constant win team. I played center and back and tagged about all the corners and side men. it works really great. The only thing wrong is the trigger. It is plastic and doesn't really allow you to walk it. The barrel isn't that great either. i would recommend a Whisper barrel. I have use it and it is the quietist gun I have ever heard. The gun Also has a really wierd reg setup and you can't put any other reg on there. But over all the gun works Great.

Good: Accuracy and how easy it is to strip

Bad: Not alot of upgrades availible.
Conclusion: Good: Accuracy and how easy it is to strip

Bad: Not alot of upgrades availible

I would definatley reccoommend for a backup or main gun. I use it as main.

Upgrades:
none really, maybe a new barrel if you want, you could put some hockey tape on the foregrip or give it a new foregrip if you don't like it being slippery.
Strengths: VERY light, quiet, accurate, doesn't eat Co2, good looking, light trigger pull, fairly customizable.
Weaknesses: Slippery foregrip (not an issue, just a preference)
Review: The first gun I used was a rental Tippman 98 Custom and let me tell you, this gun is much better. I found it was accurate (if i held it steady it shot perfect), light (very) and all around a good gun. The only problem I had was with the spring. The blue spring (medium velocity) was in the gun when I bought it and when I went to check the fps it was shooting from 300 to 320. The limit at the place was 260. It took a few adjustment and it was fine. Other than that, it was fine. I put 500-700 rounds through it and it only chopped 2 balls and double fed only once. The first time it chopped I had to squeegee while playing but the second time it did not affect the accuracy.
Conclusion: It's a great gun for anyone. Good for speed or woods ball. Good price (I got mine for $180 Canadian) and good quality. Definitely a good purchase.

none, it's good for what it's built for as is.
Strengths: Accurate

Weaknesses: Trigger pull is a bit longer than electros.
Review: I like the GTI for rec ball when I want to goof off and just have a good time playing.

I found it to be very accurate, fairly durable, and unlike my other markers, I can clean it in no time flat.

It's also fairly quiet, which is a nice plus.

You might look at it and think you need a new barrel -- you don't. Stock barrel works great.

Because of it's easiness to clean and cost, I'd highly recommend this marker to rec ballers and to people just "getting their feet wet" in the sport of paintball.
Conclusion: Great marker for the price. I highly recommend it for rec ball. Just don't try to take on the high end semis/electros with it.

Review: basically my experience with this gun was amazing the only part that i didn't lik about it was the barrel but you can expect that with any low end marker. the gun was able to shoot very fast and accurately with minimum kick. when you take this gun up to high bps that's when it starts to break some balls but only once in a while. it is so easy to field strip you just pop the bolt out and the back completely comes out. if you do get this gun get a good hopper that can keep up with it. i would extremely recommend this gun to amateurs and and anyone else that enjoys the sport. ( get it )!

Conclusion: Fr the price of this gun,i would recomend it to everone it is the best low end marker i have ever used and probely ever will. (get it if you are looking low end)

Perhaps the barrel. The stock barrel is pretty accurate out of the box, but more accuracy is always great.
Strengths: LIGHT
Accurate
Quiet (even with stock barrel)
Sensitive trigger
Nice design
Weaknesses: Hopper gets in way of sight
No grip on handle
Review: This is my first paintball gun purchased (CAN $192.95). I don't think I could have made a better choice. If you are just starting out, and don't feel like blowing $500+ then this is where its at. The stock barrel is very nice, and doesn't nescessarily need to be upgraded, but if you want to pay the extra $$$ then its worth it (go for 14" Razzor). The hopper kind of gets in the way of the sight rail, but that can be worked around using an offset-sight rail. Can be turned into electronic for $140(CAN) if you choose to down the road. What more can you ask?
Conclusion: Right out of the box, its a great gun, put a little more money into and and it can be an AWESOME gun.

New BARREL! Needs more power i recomend SHIM KIT look it up for around 20$ you can increase your fps by 10ft every shim, and deffinitly a new cocking bolt.
Strengths: Not many off the top of my head... light weight?
not your best work PMI..
Weaknesses: -Weak shooting-Unreliable-Cocking Knob hits your goggles-Freezes up-CHOPS-
Review: Overall the PMI without any upgrades is pretty down right crappy..every time i went out with that gun i never trusted it, you cant have that when playn. the gun ALLWAYS chopped.. and I dont buy too cheap of balls. In the winter the Internal parts COMPLETLY froze. couldnt even shoot, and that damn Bolt in the back gets annoying.
NOT WORTH 120!!!

GET A RELIABLE TIPPMAN-
Conclusion: not worth the money save up 50 dollars more and get a tippman 98 custom instead of this hunk of crap gun. But if you do have this gun allready UPGRADE, Internal parts get a venturi bolt, and a new 80 dollar barrel.

Review: I bought this gun as my first gun I didn't think it would be this bad. This gun goes about 15 feet then curves badly. I have shot people behind bunkers from it curving around the corner of it no joke. Trigger is walkable but when you walk it not all the shots that you pressed will come out and the trigger sucks anyways. This gun is so loud in woodsball in a huge woods you shoot once and miss everyone is going to run at you from hearing it and own you hardcore. Don't think this gun is fast cause I have a egg on it I was getting a new gun to use that with. If you do get this dont buy a quantom hopper cause It jams so it ends up being way slower then the gravity feed. When you fire this gun most of the time co2 goes everywhere in front of the gun and you can't see what is in front of you. It is a must for me to bunker people with my gun ive aimed perfect shots on people and I either miss or get lucky and it will curve around him and hit someone else which wont happen often. If you just want a gun to play and aren't serious about paintball and figure i dont care much I cant afford a nice gun well for the price of this gun you can get a spyder imagine or so and it is way better trust me. Dont buy this gun I cant stand using it.
Conclusion: Dont buy this gun. The reason you ask. My hands hurt from typing how much bad stuff there is about it and that should tell you something. And think all the reviews say this gun is good but how often do you see a gun being said it is bad by someone who didnt have a diffrent gun these people own it so say its good dont listen i guarentee you wont be happy buy somehting else save up for a ion if possible only 270 and are nice
