Review:
I've been playing paintball for years and I've shot MANY different guns from Karnivores to all kinds of mags to Shockers to Angels, etc. This is by far one of the most beautiful pieces in paintball I've ever seen. The service and quality is an A+++. This was the icing on the cake for my E-Mag.
Conclusion:
If you can afford it, and have the patience to wait on them (pretty much built per order), it's one of the most cosmetically enhancing modifications you could do to ANY mag. One could argue that even the dual detents are more efficient than AGD's signature barrel detents.

Well I called DW to see if they could make me a body with no holes in the rail and guess what. They could. They also anodized my barrel to match the body. This body is awesome! I get many(maybe too many) people asking me what kind of gun I have. I cannot get over how great this body came out. If you are looking for a great change from you functional if not too pretty Tac-One body or everyday ULE body this is surely a must have body.

Airgun Designs did a limited release of Slug bodies and I purchased one because I'd always wanted a Karta Mag. After receiving my blank body, I sent it off to Colin at Deadly Wind and he milled and sculpted it into a thing of beauty.
When I got it back, I was blown away. The pictured do not give it justice. It is beautiful.
Aside from appearance, the only difference this body has over the other aluminum mag bodies is a dual ball detent. However, this body isn't for performance. It's about style.
Conclusion:
If you want a gun that draws attention from all levels of players, get it.

It took me a long time to finally hunt a Karta kit down and it was everything I wanted! I really lucked out, it was a late '05 version (no rail holes) in a nice rich gloss red. Beautiful condition. I spent about $300 on the body kit, building my own Mag. Some people thought I was stupid for this when I could more easily and cheaply go with the standard ULE bodies, but I don't regret it. It really stands out and many people are surprised it is a Mag, few people realize they can look this good. It has dual ball detents (Angel/AGD threads), a vertical threaded feedneck (Angel) and Cocker style barrel threads.
Conclusion:
If you are looking to build a custom Mag like I was but want something different than the plain ol' tube you should really look into a DeadlyWind kit. The look & quality is great!
