Strengths: Price
Pretty Accurate
Doesn't break many balls
Pretty good looks
Weaknesses: Alot of trigger pull with the mech trigger.
Kind of loud
Review: This, in my opinion, is a very good gun for the price. I got mine with a package for $120 brand new, and it has treated me very well.
All stock this gun can preform pretty well. Seems more accurate than both my friends and my cousins Spyders, doesn't have nearly as many barrel breaks as even my friends Psycho Ballistic, and was cheaper than all of them. The marker seems about as loud as the Xtra does.
The stock trigger is plastic and has alot of pull. I have not had any problems with the plastic trigger frame, and don't believe I will. Even with all the trigger pull, you can go as fast as you need.
Conclusion: You could keep this gun completely stock and still compete decently well. I highly reccomend this gun to anyone on a budget.

JT 4.0 which is about even w/ the Piranha.
Marker Setup: Piranha ext pro g3 red/black fade; Red CP 1 piece barrel; Black Ricochet Ak hopper; 20 oz co2 tank.
Recommended
Upgrades:
Barrel
Strengths: Low maintenance.
Weaknesses: The trigger frame is plastic and I wasn't to sure of it at first.
Review: At first I wasn't to impressed with this marker. It was a bit loud and had mediocre stock accuracy. I liked the nice fade and the fact that it came w/ a regulator stock. I soon got a CP 1 piece barrel which made it fairly accurate and a little bit quieter than it was stock. The trigger pull is better than that of my JT 4.0 and i can walk the trigger which I wasnt able to do on my 4.0. It has a bit more kick than my 4.0 and is a bitlouder which I actually noticed. A new bolt such as the boss or tiger shark bolt will fix this, and I am currently looking into one of these bolts. With the stock barrel I broke a couple of balls which didnt effect the accuracy to much. But after getting my CP 1 piece barrel I haven't broken a ball yet. As for the trigger frame I was spoiled from my 4.0's metal frame but I have gotten used to the sturdy plastic frame on this marker and its durability, so its no biggy. Plus if you really want you can get a metal piranha trigger frame.
Conclusion: This is a nice solid mech semi auto marker. I would trust it to perform under any circumstances.

iv used alot of other pmi guns and i liked this one alot.
Marker Setup: ext pro g3 fade, razzor barrel, thats all i need
Recommended
Upgrades:
Making it electronic would be nice, and a new barrel
Strengths: Accurate
Easy to maintain
Reliable
All pmi bells and whistles
Price (affordable)
light
low profile
Weaknesses: Dirt can get into slits, but easy enough to clean.
Review: This gun comes with the pmi turbo valve, venturi bolt, flush cocking, drop forward, ram air chamber, regulator, and expansion chamber. It's good on co2. Looks awesome.

I was so happy when I got this gun, its my first and it has taught me a great deal about the sport, i definitely recommend this gun for any beginner or intermediate player. the machanical trigger also makes you learn to make shots count, and save money on balls, paint ball is not about acuracy by mass.
Conclusion: Awsome gun, highly recomended

Tippmann guns, not very similar though.
Marker Setup: The gun itself is completely stock because I won it in a raffle, but I used a coiled remote, a 48/3000 tank, and a ghetto hopper (not even a spring to keep it open).
Recommended
Upgrades:
Definitely a new trigger,
An electronic hopper,
Electronic trigger,
Maybe a new barrel.
Strengths: Very accurate, quiet, fast, easy to disassemble.
Weaknesses: Horrible trigger, too bright for blending in with woods.
Review: I got this gun as a raffle prize, and I'm glad I did. It may not be the best gun you can get (obviously), but it's a great gun for someone like me who is happy to win anything. I played a few games of elimination and defend the castle (I'm a woodsballer) and it performed great. The only problem I had in game was that every hundred shots or so, I had to re-cock the gun. It wasn't that much of a difficulty, but got annoying if I was in the middle of a fight. And, after the game when I took the grip off to take a look, the safety switch won't stick back to the "Safe" position.
Conclusion: This is a pretty good gun, and I suggest this to new players.

68/4500 Bulldog

Upgrades:
None as it has an acs bolt ,decent grips, lp valve, reg, useable and pretty decent feed neck. I,ve had to replace the cup seal twice, that's not bad, minor problem solved and I was back in business in 5 minutes both times.(Check out my 2k4 IMAGINE # 48)
Strengths: Quiet
Accurate
Sips the air
Dependable
Did I mention accurate
Weaknesses: Bolt not concealed-don't take it swimming!
trigger travel XSV-minor,suck it up!
Review: I aquired this gun in a mass purchase I made ,from someone I never met, through a mutual friend and I have to say I am very pleased with this marker.I thought I would use this marker for my back up but I use it as much as I use my other two because it's so fun to shoot.I'm confident in this marker against my friends and there A-5s ,ions,98s AMGs,Impulses ,and a couple of other Imangines. It's quiet and accurate and sips the air.I sometimes use a cheep gravity feed hopper and I can count the number of balls I've chopped on one hand.(I can estimate about 8-9000 shots down the tube ).The chops were cheep quality balls so be sure to spend an extra $5.00 bucks an you'll have yourself an afternoon of trouble free tatooing. It also has the push pin field strip which is nice(same as the spyders)This gun is so easy to work on and keep clean. If you can get your hands on one of these or are considering it I don't think you'll be dissapointed ,I'm nothing but impressed with the simplicity of this thing.

PS I had to put a new ball detent in it so i drilled it out an put a spyder detent in,works well.
Conclusion: Getcha' one ,and get 'er done, and ya won't have to fear no other mans gun!

Upgrades:
barrel (evil driver or teardrop does wonders), boss bolt, eforce frame, evil valve with hi-flow mod, evil detonator regulator, ricochet loader, and HPA
Strengths: Price, looks, reliabilty, accuracy, stock parts
Weaknesses: Doesn't recock somtimes(maybe my fault), sloppy trigger, chops balls occasionally
Review: I got this gun for myself for christmas of 04'. I payed around $85 bucks for it new on ebay, so the price is one of its key strengths. At first impression i thought the gun was beautiful, but I'd perfer the red fade to the blue which i have. The gun felt solid and durable, and the composite trigger frame didn't bother me. But the long pull of the trigger did.
When I eventually got to use the gun on the field, it shot great out of the box, speed, accuracy, and consistency was good. But in the middle of a game the gun didn't recock itself to reasons unknown. The regulator was set correctly and the bolt had no interference. But overall the gun performed good.
Now my most recent play of the gun was just horrible, since i had just recetnly got the boss bolt, i lowered the regualtor down a bit and put in the red spring. for some reason the gun started chopping 1 in every 10 balls, and the ones that shot were swerving left and right after about 30 ft. The gun continues to do that for the rest of the day pissing me off. I believe it may have been through to much spring tension, bad paint, or bad weather.
Conclusion: Overall if you can get this gun for under a $100 bucks I say get it. But nowadays with newer guns having an eye, and higher end guns getting cheaper I'd look elsewhere.

- barrel treads can wear
Review: When i bought this marker a year ago for $100 it was without a doubt the best paintball related purchuse i've ever made. The marker comes stock with a ton of stuff making upgrades unneeded for the weekend woodsballer like me. With a 20oz tank i can easily get 1000+ shots and hardly ever break paint. about 2-3 months after buying the marker my barrel would no-longer thread in tight but would keep slipping the threads. after talking to PMI about it they sent me a new barrel under warranty, when that one was lost in the mail over the christmas season i called them again and they UPS'ed me another one for free.

When looking to buy one of these spend some extra time looking to find one that has the regulator, not just gas tru-forgrip like mine(i don't notice a difference without it, but it is worth having). as of now the only thing that i really have to complain about is that the flush-cocking system has some on the points where the pin connects the bolt to the hammer. i think the reason for this is because when i first had this marker i would get it out and just dry fire it without any CO2 or paint
Conclusion: if you are just starting out and are looking to spend as little as posible and get the most, do youself a favor and buy this maker. this marker has WAY more stuff than anyother marker for under $100, and with the added insurance that you get from buying a PMI, if anything goes wrong, you won't have to pay the bill.

Review: ok if 250$ more or less is in ur price range forgot those spyders...yes u can get a eclectric gun 4 250$ but its gonna break down every 2 secondes...this gun is built 2 last...this gun really sux with co2 but get sum nitro in there and ur rippin:P...i have played in tournament againnst stuff like impulses and i totaly creamed them really bad...this gun has prolly 8 bps(aint that bad 4 a mech)but every shot is goddam accurate with nitro and a new barrel(teardrop works great and looks even better).
