Paintball Experience: 1 year Similar Products Used: Nothing Marker Setup: Tippmann 98 Custom stock-all I'll ever need Viewloader VL 200 20 oz. CO2 tank Strengths: Looks okay Gives you camouflage Weaknesses: Hard and time consuming to put on Review: I saw this is on the internet when I was searching for a camouflage job, but not a totally permanent one (not a paint job) for my paintball gun. It was a reasonable price ($24.95), so I said what the heck, and ordered it. It came a few days later and as soon as I got it, I opened it. I was a little disappointed at first glance because up close, the pattern on the material looks fuzzy and blurry, but it looks okay from a few feet away. Now I will get to putting it on. This kit comes with a DVD on how to apply it to your paintball marker. But, I didn't really like it because the man doing it gives you no time to catch up on what he is doing and he talks in a boring monotone for 45 minutes while applying the wrap. He also stutters sometimes, which makes it hard to understand what he is doing to do it to your gun. Also, he doesn't do things in a very good order because when I applied this to my CO2 tank, after wrapping it, he said to make sure you know where the date is on your tank, so I had to unwrap half of it, find the re-hydrotest date, cut a hole there with a knife, and re-stick on the wrap. So, thanks to him, my tank looks really crappy. The actual wrapping of the gun took me an hour and a half. You constantly have to make cuts in the wrap to make it go nicely around the more rounded parts of the gun. The vinyl (if i spelled that correctly) material feels kind of funky on the gun when it is finished, but it does look half-decent. The only thing is I don't think they give you enough material to really make it look nice, like to cut small bars of material to cover maybe a missed spot or wrinkle. Conclusion: I think this was a very good idea that Equalizer Paintball had, but it could have been much better if the material was sharper (in its image), the instructions were better, and they gave you more material.
