Tank gets stuck sometimes
This ASA is so easy to use, it's rediculous. The lever spins very easily, which allows for very easy turning on and off of the tank. I had some bad experiences with screw-down-type on/off ASAs where the screw would be very stiff when pressurized and required a lot of force to get disengaged. I have had no such problems with the Quik-Flip; the lever swings around very easily and disengages the tank. This is also its biggest problem, in that if I have the tank on and don't want the gun gassed up, it's very easy to knock the lever into the engaged position and gas my gun up accidentally.
The other perks include two outlet ports (one on the left and one on the front) and the dovetail mount, which is nice for people (like myself) with integrated dovetails. The looks aren't anything particularly special, but it looks nice enough. The biggest plus of the Quik-Fiip, though, is its ease of use.
The only problem I've had with the Quik-Flip is that my tank will sometimes get stuck in the threads. Not just stuck, like I have to push a little harder to unscrew it, stuck like I need another person to be able to get the tank off the ASA. I think the tank o-ring may be slipping back onto the threads, but I'm not sure. It doesn't happen too often, though, so it's not a huge concern.
Overall, the Empire Quik-Flip is a very easy-to-use ASA that performs very well. It's a great alternative to Unimounts or other types of screw-down on/off ASAs.
Smart parts on/off is a simular theory, but doesnt freely turn like this one does.

I got this asa along with my gun, its was actually a surprise cause the guy didn't say anything about it. Well at first my thoughts were that i didn't like it cause i accidentally hit it a few times, airing the gun when i didn't want to, which could have hurt some little kids that were around my gun at the time. But i got more careful around it and just adjusted to having it. It is kinda of a fat asa, meaning it has a larger diameter then most on/offs you see. But it doesn't really make too much of a difference.
To switch were the air hoses , either on side or in front, all you have to do is unscrew the macro fitting out of that place, unscrew the plug that should be in the place of the un-used air port. Then put some plummers tape around the threads of each and then screw them back into the places you want them. THAT SIMPLE!
As for the lever, switching it from right to left side, you have to have a tool made to remove "Jesus" clips. The tool costs like $12 at any auto parts store and comes with 4 different heads to get the job done. Just remove the clip, pull out the lever ( OH! ,and lets pretend your smart enough to not have an air tank hooked up during this whole thing.) then put the lever back through the hole on the other side, put clip back on and there you go. Now your flipin' the switch on a different side.
This is a good asa, just have to watch what your doing. might accidentally hurt some one.
This on/off is the best I have have ever used. It is also really cheap. I got my for 30 bucks. This on/off is definately better then the on/off with the knob. I havent had any trouble turing it off while it has gas in it. I have this on an impulse vision and it looks soo cool. I havent had any problems with my tank getting stucked in the threads yet so as of now this is the best on/off I have used.

Ease of turning the air source on and off
None right now
I mounted the one I got on an empire rail.
I works great, and it is perfect for my 68cu tank.
The lever for turning the air on and off turns super easy, much easier than the kind that screw in.
It is cheaper than other asa of it's kind, I got mine for $25.
I would get this with the rail mount if you have a 20oz co2 or 68cu tank.

No effort to turn on and off.
Most leak very soon/ immediately, Heavy , quality control. front gas port, rail only.
I used one of these that someone had on a fill station and it was awesome. so i bought one. the machining tolerancese were so sloppy that it leaked around the valve core. also the plug was not installed right so it leaked too. so the shop gave me another one. it leaked out of the box but after fiddling worked for most of a day before it had the same problems.
I since have seen 6 total. 2 had the same problem as mine. one worked fine. the one on the fill station broke down a couple of weeks later.
also the front only gas port is a nuisance. I use either a unimount or a very short rail (maybe 1.5 " forward.) this leaves no room inbetween the macro fitting and regulator (and makes steel braid totally impossible.)
It was also very thick metal which made it very bulky and suprisingly heavy.
It does not have a purge function.
it is dovetail only. it should come with a mini dovetail or scew holes so it is universal.
If it had worked i would have loved it. My checkit unimount is too stiff to turn once it is aired up (and my wgp unimount copy works great!?!?) My redz on/off is kinda inbetween.
The empire quick flip is effortless. That is absoltely lovely, if the bugger works.
another nisanse about it was that there were only about 5 degrees of rotation (with the tanks I used) that was off. the little handle pointed slightly down in this position, which meant that if i Degassed and set the gun down it usually bumped the handle a little partially opening the pinvalve and regassing my gun.
The coolest feature is how easy and definite on and off(well not so much for the off) are. you don't think you have your air tuned on and fire 15 shots on the break and have to give a knob another twist. that's awesome
If National had better quality control this would get a 7 or 8, but the quality makes it a 1, because they work well when they work, it gets a total of 2. My redz would get a 6 and my unimount would be a 5to 6 for comparision.
