aphix, hybrid feedneck, halo b, check it unimount, and a71ci 4500psi dye throttle tank, and the evil pipe barrel kit.
Recommended Upgrades:
although the stock barrel is pretty quite and accurate, i recommend a barrel kit, a new feedneck, i had trouble fitting my halo in it. you can also put any timmy parts on this gun.
Strengths:
Fast, reliable, field ready out of the box, you can put timmy parts on it.
Weaknesses:
The only weakness i can think of is the trigger, it is a microswitch
Review:
this gun is awesome. i have used it every weekend for the last 3 or 4 months. it is fast, but you can put in a WAS or frenzy board which will make it a lot faster. you can operate the gun at a low pressure. i run mine at 80. you can also put any intimidator parts on this gun. i will be putting a alias front block and an alias lpr. all the internals look just like an intimidator, the only difference is that there is a brass volumizer inside the gun. to get the best performance out of the aphix i would recommend buying a halo b, you will notice the difference. perfect gun for a back player that likes a long set up. stock barrel is pretty quite and accurate, but i recommend finding a barrel kit that you like. a lot of my teamates bought the system x NME's and they have had nothing but problems with thier lpr's and with drop off. but the aphix will not drop off if it is set at the right pressure. i recommend this gun to anyone who is looking for a timmy but is not willing to pay almost a grand for the gun. the gun cost me $630 with the unimount.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a timmy but you don't want to pay a grand for a marker, get the aphix , it can almost keep up with the intimidators out of the box. Very reliable and consistant.
05 speed, halo b,crossfire air tank, dye ultrulite
Strengths:
Pretty fast ,Light
Weaknesses:
Looks, Not very reliable
Review:
I played with this gun at Shut Down Extreme in Denver CO it was pretty fast not even close to the 05 speed but it was alright pretty accurate, ugly , and i hate wannabe guns timmys are way better. If you are going to buy this gun i would recommend saving a few more hundred dollars and buy a timmy.
It is overall an average gun to me. For just a small fee more, much better guns are available. With an extra, say, fifty dollars, you could go out and by a gun that shoots just as well and more. This gun is basically kin to the Bob Long Intimidators without the extra milling. For me, I don't know about anyone else, but this gun just looks sort of... I don't know, plain. I like to pay for a gun that makes people look a second time after I shoot them. Overall, it is a pretty good gun though.
Conclusion:
Buy if you have no more money and want a speedball gun
The Aphix Timmy is a good gun. Its everything a speedball or tourney player would need. Once you get the feeling for it then you will love it. I am thinking about getting one and after shooting it I was almost positive I wanted one. It has no kick and is very fast.
