Well, it's a button. Not sure if it's worth the money; it came with my frame. Compared to a plastic button, this stainless steel piece is ridiculously heavy. This may effect your snapshooting and endurance. It also ruins the all-black theme, if that's what you're going for. This can be fixed by applying sharpie to the button, thus defeating it's bling-bling purpose and wasting $4 of your hard-earned money.
Conclusion:
Not neccessary, but makes your gun and game seem slightly higher-class to superficial players. This can be beneficial to your ego.
One of the best on/off buttons for the Impulse on the market.
