Marker Setup: XSV Ego
Scepter Barrel Kit
Crossfire 68/4500psi HP output tank
Halo B
Recommended
Upgrades:
None...this gun is perfect out of the box...
Strengths: Perfectly setup out of box
Unbelievably light
Weaknesses: Little loud...Slightly louder than a matrix(so still now loud)
Review: A few of the guys below me have no clue what theyre talking about
This gun is NOT heavy. It is the lightest gun Ive ever held. Lighter than any shocker out there.
The gun is, as the Ego, perfectly setup out of the box, set to shoot 285 FPS from factory.
The gun comes with great settings on, and the 1.0 Ego board. Including PSP, Semi, CFOA, Millenium, and training....
PSP mode shoots 15 BPS, this board is not a cheater board...The guy below me doesnt know what hes talkin about...And nobody can walk their fingers 20 bps without assistance of ramping on bouncing
The milling on this gun is not a guns milling, it is artwork.
This gun has an amazing amount of kick (like NONE whatsoever)...This means that the gun has absolutely no kick when set up right....for people that dont understand the last sentence...(evan)
The trigger is extremely awesome...It uses a spring and a magnet at the same time, making the return super quick and the pull super smooth..It also has no microswitch, it has an eye to detect the trigger pulls, making it even smoother
This gun comes absolutely great out of the box, like I said before...The gun comes with everything as good as it gets...There is no need to ever upgrade anything on this gun.

Id recommend a HP Tank instead of LP, as Eclipse suggests, because of the recharge rate
Conclusion: Best gun you will ever get.

Review: I love my ego, its amazing. The best gun ever. Its very fast, consistant, and light . However, it expensive, noticably louder than most high-end electros, it bounces sometimes out of the box, and the feedneck somehow rotates on its own, lol. All of these weaknesses may seem liek a lot, but im just being picky here. It is a great gun.
Conclusion: Buy it! I love it, every1 does. However, as i have shown, its not perfect, so it gets a 9. Dont flame...

2K5's, DM's, Shockers, Angels. I don't feel like listing all of the advantages of each one, but the top two guns IMO are the 06 Ego, and the DM6. When you get down to those two, it's personal preference.
Marker Setup: 06 XSV Ego
68/45 hp
vlocity
matchstik kit
Recommended
Upgrades:
none really. If you're local field normally has small bore paint then you will need a barrel kit, because the shaft(stock barrel) is a .693.
Strengths: Speed
Light
Looks
Consistency
Easy to program
Pretty Efficient
Accurate
Weaknesses: Stock Barrel bore is too large.
Review: Accuracy- Every shot is ball on ball, and has a very flat tragectory. Before, shooting a hopper or a foot sticking out of a bunker was somewhat of a hassle, now it's become a common and easy thing to do.

Speed- It's an ego, so you know it will be fast. The 2.00 board is so easy to program. It's also become much easier to eliminate all bounce. Instead of having the adjust the TT settings, you can actually just use the debounce settings to make sure your gun is tourny legal. The trigger is great and you can set it up just the way you like it. I've hit 24 with my ego(obviously my fingers aren't that fast, but the refs couldn't get it to bounce), so I was happy that it could be that fast, but still be legal.

Weight- The 06 XSV is supposed to be a little heavier than the 05's and the 06's. I'm pretty sure this is mostly due to the reg and bolt being a little heavier, but i'm sure the milling also is partially responsible. None the less, it's ligther than any timmy, and pretty much every other gun except for the DM6.

Looks- If you've seen pictures, i'm sure you've seen how great the XSV milling looks. When you see it in person, words can't explain. Every detail is perfect, PE makes sure there is not one flaw.

Kick- Some people will say the ego has kick, well i havent felt it. Once you get the right settings, the ego has no kick at all, atleast that you can feel. The ego could be considered one of the louder high end guns, but i've let people borrow my gun, and play against them, and you can't tell the difference when you're on the field.

Efficiency- I haven't measured it, but I get a hopper and 4-5 pods off a 3000 fill. My local field keeps the 45 station behind the counter, so I just fill it to 3k to save time.

Consistency- My Ego is great over the chrono. My local fields indoor is 270 or lower. I get 268,266,269.

If there is anything you want me to add, leave a comment and i'll edit.
Conclusion: The 06 XSV is definitely the best gun i've ever shot, and i've shot them all. I may be biased due to the fact that I have one, but I honestly believe there is nothing better. Some may say the DM6, and that's why everyone who is thinking about buying one of the two should get both and see which one they like better.

pretty good stock other then that.
Strengths: Speed
trigger
easy moving on/off
very light - 2 lbs 6 oz.
Weaknesses: Barrel is not great
Easy moving on/off(comes loose sometimes)
super bouncy.
Review: effieciency-
very good, not too many fills that you would complain about.

accuracy-
meh didnt like the stock barrel but with a ul on there it was better but not amazing.

speed-
really fast!!!

reg-
another meh, took alot of breaking in.

trigger-
wow just wow...best trigger ever!

feed neck-
it was ok no complaints did what it was supposed to do.

board-
comes with ramp and all the modes and is easy to navigate.

I got the Gold with black parts and damn its nice! looks good and shoots fast! got rid of it so fast because i dont like egos lol...dont like the feel or the kick to it, and i didnt find it was as accurate as my angel or my friends dm5 so i got a dm6!Also i found that it was major bouncy and it really turned me off the marker.

Conclusion: Great marker, get it if you like egos because it is the best of the ego's, i find! not much difference from the 06 but i got it when the 06 wasent out yet so it was much nicer and the trigger was better.

Review: be aware that I'm comparing this gun to other high end guns and not my pirahna

This thing rips
my friend was taking a brake so he let me use it
I was just test firing it and I effortlessly emptied the hopper in like less than 10 seconds so I strongy recomend a halo.

during game time I took out several people and to me it seems to read your mind as to where you want your paint to go.

this gun is one of the lightest guns if not the lightest out there you should also get a light tank. Because when I first lifted it, I could only feel the weight of my friends air tank

The milling is really well done.

the only thing wrong is the price but what ever

Conclusion: If I has the money I'd get one. I used to want an alias but this gun is now on my want list.
It is ready to go right out of the box, like my friend said.
This is the best gun out there

Maybe a new barrel, but the stock one seems alright to me, can't think of anything else.
Strengths: Rediculously light,
No kick- maybe a little vibration but that's it
looks
speed
Weaknesses: My feedneck would rotate on the gun when I got it- minor ammoyance, not major
Review: When I got my XSV, I opened the shipping box to reveal a worn-out Eclipse box inside- it looked like they had used the same box for about 3 other guns before mine. Not caring about the packaging as long as everything inside was all right, I opened this box. Inside was a case with foam cut-outs for the gun, barrel, and accessories/maunal with an aluminum casing wrapped around it. It came with allen wrenches and o-rings in a plastic bag, a full color manual, on par with DYE or WDP, and an eclipse catalog.

I took the XSV out of the box and was amazed with two things- its looks and its weight. It can't be said enough how light egos are- they look bigger in pictures, and you just have to hold one to believe it. The milling was incredible as well- everything is really sharp from the stars and the block X S V on one side to the XSV logo and less prominent X S V on the other.

I turned on the gun to see the XSV logo on the LCD before it changed to the screen showing mode, current ROF and max ROF. You can change what information is displayed but I just left it as it was.

I have painfully slow fingers but without changing the trigger at all I could maintain a steady 10 bps sometimes getting 12. Also, egos actually count the number of pulls in a second, not the shortest time between two pulls like most guns. With the magnets and the spring, the trigger is snappy and returns fast. People who like having just a spring or just magnets can change the frame to suit their needs.

From what I could tell in the pod-and-a-half that I was able to put through this gun (all the paint I had in my house) this gun shot as well as anything I've ever shot. I was used to the gun riding up on me after using my angel for over a year but all I got when I shot my XSV as fast as possible, there was nothing but a little bit of vibration, even when I was holding it very loosley and looking for kick. I haven't had access to a chrono yet but I'll update the review when I can tell how consistent it is.
Conclusion: This is an amazing gun in every respect. It is the lightest one you can get (besides another ego) and still shoots extremely well. When I find something wrong with it, maybe I'll give it a 9, but until then, this gun deserves a ten.

Fantasting milling, colour and body shape.

Strengths: The ramping feature
Weaknesses: Not getting cought with the ramping feature
Review: If you have a true team XSV Ego the gun is perfect. My friend has the normal ego and is trying to get his gun set up to go just as fast as mine. I have the team xsv ego used by the team in one of the recent tournaments. I think the coolest part of this gun has to be its ramping feature. I can pull the triger with one finger and shoot just as fast as my buddy who is walking the trigger at 20 bps. From what i understand that feature is only hampered by the speed of the loader but hey its still great for unloading paint. If someone says they have a true team xsv team ego turn on the eblade if it doesnt say psp on it then have your bps next to it then it isnt the real thing but if it is the regular xsv ego you might as well get the regular ego its the same thing as said before. the ramping feature could just be on my gun thought dont know havent run into anyone else with a regular xsv ego yet. When I do thought I am going to have to ask the person if they have the cool ramping fearture. Before you choose between the two different egos check and see if it has the ramp feature if it doesnt just get the normal ego and do like my buddy. Set the debounce to 0 and then lower the strength of the magnet and your close to what i have.
Conclusion: Bottom line just get an ego any ego for that matter they are crazy wild and you will have a great time with them...just do two things 1. if you got the ramp feature try not to waste paint or get caught with your gun ramped, 2. dont over shoot your opponent by accident like i did this weekend it isnt a pritty sight when half a person is painted by you.
