Battery life is the big thing here. Amazing performance for anyone wanting to not worry about battery life. I have played multiple formats with this unit. Works well for either X-ball or 5man, 7man...the list goes on. To show it strengths, a few weeks ago down in Texas at the NCPA collegiate Nationals, this hopper seen 3 Xball matches, and two days of 5 man events. Atleast 12 five man games each of those days and a total of 42 X-ball games. This hopper didnt flencth, and still didnt die all weekend.
Speed is another thing that gets helped out here, the motor runs more consistanly with a stronger battery supply in it. Thus, this gives you a slight speed performance, may not notice right away but compare it to a non-boosted version of your hopper. You will see a difference.
Customer servie is amazing here, David Cross, fixed my Empire when I had a problem with it. The board ending up getting fried. He changed out the battery system and the board for free. I just paid shipping.
"One Problem"-The only annoyance I have had so far is that when recharging the system, I didnt set the charger up right and set it for a smaller battery than what was in my system. This lead me to have a half-charged battery one day. No big problem, just make sure you have the charger set-up right when you use it. |

I would recomend this system to anyone who is annoyed by changing batteries or commonly worries if the batteries they have in their hopper will last through the next match. Both Rec and Tourny players can benefit from this system. |

First of all, this is the new 10.8V version of the Hot pack. It's MUCH faster than standard batteries and the 9V mod. It's also much lighter than 2 9v or 6AA's. Most people don't think it makes it faster... but when you hear a halo running with a hot pack, you'll heard the difference! I don't think you'll need a victory board after this one!
First of all, the nature of lithiums are very different from AA's. It's voltage curve stays on a flat line, staying nearly flat until the end. With AA's, it decreases on a more angled curve. This means MANY more cases before it'll need recharging. Another thing is the fact that lithiums have a 8 year + shelf life, which means you can leave it uncharged, and it'll retain the majority of it's voltage over 8+ years. Lithiums are similar to the batteries used in laptops and cell phones - light, but packs a lot of punch. This also means that they need smart chargers, but boost gives you one with the pack.
Performance wise, the hot pack has made my halo a favorite among my team. I feeds faster, lasts longer, and is much lighter than many alternatives. With the eyes off on my gun, I can't outshoot my halo as easy as I used to. It has yet to let me down during a game. The drop tests with the boost are unmatched to anything I've seen to date!
If you are worried about the price of the pack, just do the math. If E2 lithiums cost $10 plus a pack (of 4), and they are only usuable once:
that's $2.5 a battery, and 15$ for 6 of them. So after about 5 sets, you'll be at 75.
The hot pack is rechargeable... and will pay for itself after several uses, just like reballs!

If you are a tournament player, you gotta have one of these. Going through 1 or 2 cases a weekend, not to mention tourny play, will make paintball a very expensive game very fast. Even for the avid rec baller, it's a good choice, because it retains it's charge so long. You can pick it up and go after not using it for a month. And because it makes your halo faster than standard batteries, it's a good addition to your halo/empire b - especially if you eat paint with an electro gun. |

As far as the weakness, remember you get what you pay for. With that being said by spending some extra money on this product, you will save money in the long run. I have read alot in the different forums. Even a thing called "The Halo Report". After doing my research, I purchased the 1400mah from BoostCustoms. The initial charge was completed just like it stated on the website. The install was very easy and it does not rattle/move once in place.
When I installed it into my Halo, it was if my Halo woke up. I powered it up and you can see the difference it made by watching the cone spin.
When I got the battery pack it was well packaged. It also included some nice stickers, and Dave threw in a custom backplate for me to try out. Looks great, I love it. Thanks. |

I met Dave at World Cup and was very impressed with his battery pack. I used it in Miami NPPL and it preformed flawlessly. Actually i see no reason why everyone wouldn't want to use a product that will save you money, out perform your normal batteries, and make your hopper lighter. Keep up the great work Dave ! |

I have uesd this battery for about 3 or 4 months. I got it in Chi Town 05'. The hopper man (Dave) put alot of effort in to this battery set up. I have had no probs what so ever in the time that I have been using it! I have probably saved around 30 bucks so far! Make your Halo happy, and get one! You will be happy that you did. |

I have been using a Halo with the Boost duel battery set up since the Chicago PSP. The Boost loader uses the rechargeable battery with an external charging connection, and it also has a Boost hot-pack (disposable batt) as a back-up in case the rechargeable battery dies during a game, great idea. The rechargeable battery is much lighter than the stock six AA batteries, in fact it so light it doesn't even feel like there's batteries in it. Even with the duel battery set-up it's still lighter than the stock batteries.The battery charges in less than 2hrs and lasts for about 8-9 cases of paint. Because it puts out more juice than normal batteries it also spins the loader much faster. I have had no problems with burning up motors due to the increased voltage. I figured at the cost of $80 it will only take about 6-8 weeks of practice to pay for it's self. |

I highly recommend the Boost rechargeable battery, it has worked flawlessly for me, it's cheaper than stock batteries in the long run, and it's so much lighter than the stock batteries. |
