Marker Setup: Tippmann 98 Custom with HPA tank, Comp-Air System, Bob Long Torpedo, Rear-Cocking Bolt with Beaver Tail, Evil Deathgrips, JT 2-Piece, Flatline, Modded Sear Spring, Pen Spring Trigger, Macroline
Strengths: Looks good, adjusts easily.
Weaknesses: Input thread size, Consistency, Build
Review: I'd be honestly surprised if anything more could possibly have gone wrong. My first one worked okay for a few minutes, then sprang a leak in the section below the threads. I tefloned it, played with the pressure, you name it. No velocity adjustment, internal problems, and no pressure change; I was using a nitro tank. It just leaked out a small hole in the side when there was no where else for it to go (except into my gun, but it wouldn't do something like THAT :P). I sent it back, and got another, hoping this one would preform full time like the other one did for those few minutes. No such luck. I put in the macroline attachment, tefloned and all. I had tested this attachment with different setups, meaning that wasn't the problem, and am using the same one with my torpedo now. It leaked through the input threads. I tightened it time after time, and when it was finally in all the way, i saw that the o-ring didn't have room to go all the way in. I took it out, tefloned it again, put it back in; same problem. I tried to tighten it further, figuring the o-ring wouldn't have anywhere else to go except for in the regulator. Not much could go wrong now, right? Just a bit of tightening? WRONG. The threads stripped before the o-ring got all the way in. I sent it back and bought a Bob Long Torpedo, an indescribably better regulator.
Conclusion: Don't buy this, you'll just send it back. Two were enough for me, see for yourself if you really want to. I'll give you a plate of meatloaf if you find a working setup that includes one, and isn't going to be replaced shortly. This was the worst experience I've ever had with ANY paintball product; I rate it below field paint *shutter*. 2 because I got my money back and it led me to one of the best regulators out there.

Strengths: -Price, maybe.
Weaknesses: -Nothing but problems.
-Doesn't regulate.
Review: If I could help America in ONE simple thing. I would tell america to stay the hell away from this regulator. First off, it doesn't regulate. I turn the pressure down, 900 psi, I turn it up, 900 psi. No difference, whatsoever. Since it doesn't regulate I now have to go buy a new regulator because my T.E.S. can't handle the pressure. Don't buy it, waste of money.
Conclusion: I would say go get a CiP power station reg or a BL torpedo, anything but this. It doesn't regulate. It's more like it just let's the pressure from my tank into my gun. It leaks like there's no tomorrow. I can't get it to stop leaking. I'm going to give it a 2 just because the price. Which for $10-$15 more you can get a hell of alot better regulator.

Strengths: - Regulates
- Looks schweet
- Swivels for easy mounting
- Inexpensive
Weaknesses: - Can be picky about liquid CO2, an anti-siphon is reccomended
Review: This regulator does its job decently.
The one I purchased can keep any pressure I set, within ~10 PSI, which is more than consistent enough for me. I like the way this regulator looks, (I have the black one), especially the milling. Also, the way the bottom half rotates for easy installation was a nice touch. Best of all, the regulator was relatively cheap, about $45, if I remember correctly. The only bad thing about this regulator is it's sensitivity to liquid CO2; I highly recommend that you get your tank anti-siphoned.

Once I have more money available, I'll probably get something better.
Conclusion: It looks great, hasn't failed me yet, but there are better regulators out there.
Get something better if you have the money.

palmer that comes stock on autococker.
PT regulator
stock spyder regulator
Marker Setup: 2000 right feed autococker PMI pure energy regulator, PMI drop forward, J&J pro 1, 12 inch black.
Strengths: everything, this regulator is all around great, you can get them for around 40 bux. mine is just as consistent as the palmer that came stock on the autococker. The beauty of it is that it has the swivel base adn external adjust. the swivel base makes it super easy to install and remove. Another thing is that it is easy to adjust beecause of its external adjust. the finger grooves are great and comfortable. also its pretty thick and seems to not get as cold as some of the other regs that i ahve seen, dont know if thats possible

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE: mine was leaking so tthey sent me all new orings and internal stem seals. later sent me a whole new regulator.
Weaknesses: the only bad thing about this regulator is that if u use low pressure its impossible to seal, because of teh swivel base it rides on two orings and they require pressure abocve around 300 psi to seal. or so it seemed with mine. also the orings seem to have a tendancy to go out, wel i cant say that i duno. my original was always blowing them so i called PMI they sent me a brand new one free no questions asked.
Conclusion: get this regulator. easy to take off and put on because of swivel base. consistent. good looking, light weight, well the new ones. and it comes with great customer service

Gen-X2 Reg (only tested)
Palmer Fatty Stabilizer (very nice reg with fast recharge rate)
Marker Setup: PMI Piranha Pro TS G3, Pro-E Frame, Tear Drop Barrel, Revy w/ empire re-load upgrade, ram air chamber (modified by RJ), turbo vlave, RJ high flow valve & cupseal, RJ Boss Bolt, Pure Energy Reglator, CO2 w/ anti-siphon, also use HPA
Strengths: -Good with CO2
-Decent with HPA
-Decent recharge
-Doesn't leak
-Fairly Inexpensive
Weaknesses: -Only 15+ or 15- FPS consistency
Review: The pure energy regulator is the regulator that came stock on my Piranha marker. It isn't the best reg in the world, but it gets the job done. This reglator only costs about $30, compared to about $90 for a high quality one. Basically, you get what you pay for. Consistent at about 15+ or 15- FPS, maybe a little better. The Pure Energy Reg is better than the stock regulator that comes on 2k3 Piranhas now, but not good enough where you'd want to upgrade to it. Just go with a higher quality regulator all together.

I've never had a problem with this thing leaking. I keep it oiled pretty often to prevent leaks. It works well with CO2, and recharge is excellent at high pressure settings. My Piranha is set up for low pressure and opperates at about 320psi on CO2, even lower when I use HPA. At first I thought I would need to buy a new regulator when I installed a high flow cupseal pin for my turbo valve, a boss bolt, and had RJ modify my ram air chamber. I was unable to set my Pure Energy Regulator below 500psi, but I discovered (after actually looking at the manual) that there is a shim that can be removed from the regulator to achieve a pressure range of 275psi-525psi. The reg worked great at 300psi, but the gun sputtered when I shot above about 9bps at a velocity setting of 280fps.
Conclusion: Performs for the $30 you pay for it. If you are looking for perfection, this is not the reg for you. But if you just want to stop shooting between 250 and 300 fps all the time, it will fix your range pretty well. Not recommended for low pressure electrice markers, as the recharge can't keep up when firing above 9bps at pressures below 450psi. Works well with slower shooting markers that opperate at pressures above 300psi

-AA Vigilante w/ LP Spring
-Clear TurboRev w/ WAS Vortex Impellers
-Centerflag 68ci/4500psi
-Operating pressure of 300psi.
Strengths: -Very inexpensive
-PMI makes it, so you have super customer service and technical support!
-Looks good
-Fits your hand very well
-Swiveling base is nice to have, you can put your hose whever you want it
-Pretty consistent output
Weaknesses: -Not good for high-flow or low pressure setups
-Not ported for a guage
-Not the fastest recharge rate
Conclusion: The Pure Energy Reg is a good investment if you have $40 to spend or less, but if you're looking for no drop-off and very consistent output, ALL of the time, look at something else. PMI backs all of their products very well, so you don't have to worry about anything breaking and you having to pay for a replacement part. PMI will ship out a new piece (or even a whole new reg!) with out even asking twice.

Review: This is basically a bottom of the line reg. As with anything, you get what you pay for. I've heard people have had good success with this reg, getting +/- 3ish, and then I've heard horror stories about +/- 20. At that point why even have a reg anymore.

Me personally, I was in between those two numbers. The performance wasn't bad but for me it wasn't good enough. Yes, I know piranhas aren't the best guns in the world, but I've put some damn good time into mine and I know when it's shooting right. At times, with this reg, it just didn't shoot right.
Conclusion: As mentioned, you get what you pay for. Bottom of the line price = low-end performance.

If you're looking for something that regulates, go for it. If you want something that regulates well....look elsewhere

Weaknesses: doesnt have a very tight fit in my vertical adapter, i used teflon tape.
Review: If you have a m98(or any gun i guess) you should rap the male end in teflon tape to make it a tighter fit and to prevent leaking, i also taped the ends of the steel braided hose with teflon instead of locktight and it works great! and i use CO2
Conclusion: IMO i think it is a great product and works very well with my 98 custom, but i dont know about other guns (dont forget about the teflon tape)

Strengths: -Regulates C02 Consistantly
-Easy to Install
-Looks Good
-Improves Accuracy
Weaknesses: -Doesn't seal at 300psi or lower
-No Gauge port
Review: The reg is very easy to install right off the bat. I recommend lubing your O-rings inside of it, before you install it. It regulates very consistantly, at the chrone I was always between 275 and 280, sometimes going up to 285, but that's still pretty consistant. It definately helps with accuracy, your gun will be more accurate when putting this Reg on. I have shot thousands of shots through it, and have no broken an O-ring. If you break an O-ring you can buy a repair kit for it for $4.99, or email PMI and they'll fix it for you, or send you the parts you need free of charge. The reg works alright with Compressed Air, but it didn't seem to have much effect, at least it seemed to me. This reg was made for blow-back style markers, so don't use it on Cockers, or any other non-blow-back marker.
Conclusion: It is a great reg for Tricking out Blow-Back style markers, but it doesn't work well with non-blow back markers. There are repair kits out there, so if it breaks, just buy a repair kit and fix it. All in all this is a great reg, I recommend this, or either a Palmer Male Stabilizer or a Bob Long Torpedo or Power for your blow back.

Strengths: *Not very expensive
*easily rebuilt with tank o rings
*swiveling input point
*comfortable as a fore grip
*looks nice
Weaknesses: *Not very consistant output pressure
*dropped to 200 psi when I shot my marker, it was set to 325, before it recharged, then took one and a half seconds to recharge up to 325.
Conclusion: If you want to put a reg. on a blow back to maintain c02 consistancy it would work fine. I did not like how my cocker would loose range and accuracy when I shot any kind of burst. If you do not have much money it is not bad, but I would spend more, you get what you pay for in regs. I am giving mine to a friend for his spyder sonix, it will work great because he plays woods, and does not shoot a lot of paint in rapid succession.
