This stock, patterned after a characteristic component of the Israeli made Galil, is constructed of durable and light weight aluminum (including the end cap). While originally used with the AK family, this stock is beginning to be seen on American manufactured assault rifles, such as the M4, and is a functional and durable addition to any marker.
FEATURES:
Made from Aircraft Aluminum (even the endcap)

Same stock used on real M4's
Length 7 3/4 inches

On the OpsGear website it said all aluminum construction including the end cap. So I thought the butt of it would be plastic, rubber, or some kind of composite material. I was not expecting anything great. When I got it in the mail I discovered the the entire stock is precision machined aluminum. The detailed machine work really impressed me. It fit right on the marker. The pins fit extremely tight but so does the stock. I was expecting a certain amount of wobble that comes with most stocks but there was none. One can hold the entire marker by the stock, move it around, and there is no wobble what-so-ever. Once it is on the marker it looks like it has always been a part of it. The stock is anodized black and blends in flawlessly with the rest of the marker. Like I stated earlier the machine work is extremely impressive. This is especially prevalent in the but of the stock. From the websites pictures I assumed that it was either molded plastic or rubber. I was wrong. Also being made entirely out of aluminum it is very light and balances out the marker nicely.
I have only found a couple of problems with this stock. First off is the length. At only 7 3/4 inches it is slightly a hassle for taller players. You do get used to it though. I am 6ft5in tall so if its not that bad for me then it should be fine for everyone else. I personally would not want any longer because it would hinder the mobility of the marker. Also the stock is not a gas through stock. You must run your gas though the stock locations on the marker. However, the stock is hallow aluminum tubing and could easily be modified to a gas through stock.
This stock is the most solid that I have personally used and one of the most solid that I have seen in my 11 years of paintball experience. |

| Conclusion: |
If you value the stability of your marker over and can handle it not being a gas through then it is a must buy for any Tippman A-5 owner (they also make it for a 98 Custom). It is lightweight, strong, fits great, is well made, and looks good too. |

This stock is solid constructed and light. Initially it's a little tough to insert the pins into the stock. I had to force them in. But once the stock is attached to the marker, it fits tight. It won't come loose no matter what. I used to have a six position car stock, and after every game, I'd have to tighten it . This stock is metal constructed so you won't have to worry about it breaking apart. The only weaknesses are the price and the length. Kind of pricey ($70).
It's a little short 7 3/4 inches. For people with long arms, it will be uncomfortable but you'll get used to it. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
It's a light weight and solid. You don't have to worry about it coming loose. Hell, I can kill somebody if I deck them on the head with this stock. Good product. |

| Review: |
This stock was a little shaky went installed. I put a thin oring over the center round part. I held the stock in place with some pressure and pushed the pins in. So far the stock has stayed rock solid. I've played about 5 or 6 woodsball games so far with this stock. No problems yet. With m4 Stocks I brake them about every 4 games. I dont put stocks on for looks. I use them, This one will take a beating. I beleive the marker will brake before the stock.
OPS Gear is a great company. Everything Ive bought so far is far above any other store I've bought from. |
