This is my initial impression of this vest as I have only played with it twice. It is clearly well constructed and has a quality feel to it with a mainly nylon construction along with some type of leather(ish) shooting pads on both shoulders. The nicest thing about this vest is that it offers nearly endless configurations because of its MOLLE design. The assortment of pouches that comes with it can be a little daunting although if you play mostly mil-sim or scenario ball and carry a sidearm and a main marker you will find this vest well suited to you right out of the box. It contains pouches for 12 gram cartridges, 100 and 50 round paint pods, a zippered utility pouch, a large ouch that can be used for air tanks and additional paint. as well as a few smaller pouches that appear to be for mil-sim ordinance like 40mm grenades. I have found that you can carry a lot of weight comfortably on this vest and can be adjusted to comfortably fit a wide variety of sizes. I am 6' 230lbs and it is comfy on me and I have adjusted it to fit my size 6 21 year old sister comfortably as well. This seems to be a better quality product than most gear carrying solutions for paintball that I have come across.
Conclusion:
I think this is a definite buy for mil-sim and scenario enthusiasts due to its quality construction and the utility of the MOLLE design...if much speedball is in your future though you may want to look for a lighter option.

I have upgraded mine to have some items on it that do not come with this. I find the gas mask pouch is weak but usable for holding the air tank on remote; to much noise. I have added a molle hydration system to the back which is tight. I have a molle tank holder, for those going remote, and it has little shake with little noise. I will be adding some molle leg drops next year. I have ordered the Blackcell 2+1 pod holder to add. That is how great for expansion this product is.
I still use the 5 pouches that can hold 100 pods for the front along with the 8x6 pouch which can hold tools for long scenerio games or paint grenades for most normal scenario games.
I have even figured out my setup for use with real hunting for shotgun and rifle seasons. Now that Delaware allows for pistol hunting I will be getting the front pistol holder to add to this vest for such occasion.
Conclusion:
If you want a fairly cheap setup that has dozens of uses this is a start. If you spend some money, especially now that companies like Opsgear and Special Ops Paintball have paintball specific molle gears.
Stiff off the bat, Sniper pads on shoulders hinder. Hard to clean.
Review:
I am an avid Scenario player and I'm always on the lookout for affordable tactical gear to help me lug 1k of paint + and several CO2 or N2 bottles. It looks sweet as candy when you first get it. DO SOME EXCERCISE IN IT FIRST! This stuff is heavy duty Cordura Nylon. It is stiff and uncomfortable. Don't go playing in the middle of july wearing this fresh from the wearhouse. BREAK IT IN. The pouch assortment you get with it is sort of limited - and their claimed "Tank Carrier" is nothing more than a flawed Gas Mask pouch with a new name.
Your tank will almost certainly fall out if you are doing anything more than target shooting.
Utility pouch is the greatest part of this kit. Just chuck anything in there. Great for pull through squeegees and other knick nacks. The single mag pouches are useless unless you have the opsgear 50 round pods. If you don't? Well, toss a radio in it. That's about it.
Conclusion:
All in all, it is a very fine tactical vest. It requires some breaking in and some pouch shifting before real use, but is totally worth it. I'd recommend buying MOLLE compatible Tank Holder and finding a use for the smaller pouches. A good buy - especially with all they give you.

While durable and customizable the vest is mainly designed for use by the military or law enforcement. Granted Ops Gear sells it as paintball equipment it is also in their military section. The vest is comfortable and I have had no problems with it staying in place. When I plan on playing longer games I put my 100 oz Camel Bak in the hydration sleeve. The smaller hydration bladders may have difficulty staying in place, but I haven't had any issues with my 100 oz. The fact that it is a MOLLE system is a plus because different games may require a different set up. With some planning ahead all you need is one vest. Granted the pouches are more for military application some paintball equipment can be placed in them. The shotgun shell pouch is great for 12 grams for example. The advertised tank holder, which is actually a gas mask pouch, is great for props during a big game or scenario game.
If you are looking for a mil sim vest to get you started this is a great one to go with. Later on you buy MOLLE pod pouches from a company that is strictly paintball, like COPS911. Myself I actually wish I knew another source made MOLLE pouches for paintball before I bought this vest. Then I could have bought the vest at the store then ordered the MOLLE pouches from COPS911.
Conclusion:
For looks, durability, and functionality I give this vest an 8. It is not strictly paintball, but it gets the job done. Fortunately I can get actual pod pouches for a MOLLE vest from other sources.
