Review: So a guy at my home field has this bad ass toy. He went on a Rap4 bender and this is my favorite of the bunch. Essentially, you have these giant cartridges that you pre-charge off of a CA tank, and load with .43 cal paintballs. You pop em in your launcher, yank the trigger and with a nice satisfying pop, you're in business, barfing a nice shotgun spread of paint out to about 20 feet.

I've gotta say, this unit reeks of quality. I love the real wood handle and the heft of the launcher. When I picked it up, I could feel the badass-ness pulsating within. That was confirmed when I saw someone get pasted in the face with a single burst shot.

Yes, the little balls are hard to break on someone at a distance. Thing is, though, this "marker," if you can even call it that, is made for close range combat. In a normal gun, breaking paint sucks. In this launcher, it happens and it's awesome because it means you're getting more paint on target.

Originally, the owner was having problems with the little .43 caliber balls rolling out. He fixed this by putting a little bit of paper towel with the balls in order to hold them in with a tighter fit. It works great!
Conclusion: This launcher fulfills a primal need for cool toys. That's about it. It isn't practical, it certainly won't do as a primary weapon, but it's

SO, SO COOL.
