CCI Phantom VSC, L stock, air gauge, Spyder red dot, 15% stronger cocking spring, 14" phantom barrel, and Hammerhead torpedo, and just like a model T it comes in the only colour that matters.....black
Recommended Paintballs:
I choose to go with the 5 fin kit from Hammerhead, this allows me to match to various bore sizes to go along with a variety of paints.
Strengths:
Consistent, precise, and rifled for that extra reach.
Weaknesses:
Requires new pump handle to fit the barrel.
Review:
The phantom out of the box was a superb gun, great accuracy and consitency, but I was greedy and wanted more, so I turned to the Hammerhead kit for the phantom. You get 5 fins, barrel, ball sizer and lithium grease all in a foam lined case. Once I tightened it on and started to play I noticed better range, not extreme, but the ball was making tighter groupings and broke more against other players. I have had a barrel chop, but after two shots I barely noticed a difference over medium/long range.
When you take a close look down the barrel you will see the excellent rifling, plus an extremely smooth finish, and in mine the barrel is flawless in every way, the coating has so far even been resistant against scractching from the pump handle.
Conclusion:
If you are looking for a barrel that is well engineered, rifled and improves performance this is a good buy. For Phantom user expect fewer chops, tighter groupings, and increased chance of breaks once the round reaches its target. The barrel and its rifling was also designed to shoot at 280fps, so it plays perfectly at restricted fields. Don't forget you need a new pump handle to use this barrel, but Doropaintball carry's them and they are only around 20.00
