| Review: |
All in all it is a great gun. though now in the year of 2005 I must say it is a little dated by eblades and double triggers and vertfeeds and all that. I started with this guan and didn't do bad at all. I ran it off co2 ( i was young and dumb) but still it ran extremly well for a cheap (250) cocker. all in all a great gun |
 |
| Conclusion: |
I give it an 8 because it is old but good |

WGP Mini-Cocker with an Exoticsportz Trigger Job. |

Exotic Trigger Upgrade |

 |
| Strengths: |
Out of the box this is the best gun I've ever owned. Before this I had a very nice Spider Java Shutter with Electronic Trigger. The Mini-Cocker out of the box shot farther and was a million times better to aim with. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
If you don't get the tigger setup up for you then you will probably short stroke balls. I got my trigger done for $139 at Exoticsportz in Michigan. Those people did an amazing mill job on it. For the 139 I paid I got
a) ADJUSTABLE COCKING LUG - This enables adjustment of the point at which the gun fires during the trigger pull.
b) TRIGGER STOP - This shortens the trigger pull of the gun.
c) COCKING ROD LOCK - This prevents the cocking rod from vibrating out of adjustment.
d) HAMMER POLISHING - This provides for a faster rate of fire. The hammer and the main body are polished to provide less resistance.
e) COMFORT TRIGGER - This is a permanent trigger modification that sets the trigger shoe back to a more comfortable position allowing more finger room. (Note: This modification should only be done after you are satisfied with the length of your trigger pull.)
f) EXOTIC 3-WAY VALVE SYSTEM - This exclusive custom built 3-way incorporates a stainless steel shaft. This valve system will shorten your trigger pull beyond your imagination
g) VELOCITY LOCK - Prevents velocity adjuster from backing off. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
This is probably one of the best markers made to date. Out of the box it's already great, but can make you look and feel like a pro if you get the trigger setup right. |

P&P P-Block (cut al. back block)
DIY Trigger Job

 |
Recommended Upgrades: |
New bolt and barrel (I recommend a Boomstick)
Stock Pneumatics are sufficient, but ANS or a comparable manufacturer are more efficient
Unless you absolutely love it, replace the trigger frame with an aluminum unit
A well done trigger job will help your feel and rate of fire, but an improperly done job can cause an increase in your number of half strokes |

 |
| Strengths: |
Range, accuracy, respectable Rate of Fire, solid feel. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
Slightly unpredictable with co2, can be a tad bit finicky. |

| Review: |
I originally bought my '97 Minicocker in 2000 from a local shop. The used price was $350 with a Bob Long Long Shot and an ANS bolt. However, the gun did not come with a regulator. Straight away, the range and accuracy was superb with PMI premium. As time went on, I upgraded this gun with the above mentioned items and the only one I regret buying was the PMI regulator. However, this is not the fault of the 'cocker. Recently, my brother bought an '06 WGP Trilogy and has upgraded it with a '99 STO barrel (J&J ceramic two piece, stainless back). The only area in which his gun might be seen as superior to my Mini is in the rate of fire department. His gun can reach a conceivable max at roughly 12-13 bps, whereas mine is more comfortable in the 8-9 bps range.
I consider the Minicocker to be superlative for woods play. It has the feel of a rifle, (heavy and perfectly balanced) great range and accuracy, but a slightly lacking ROF.
Although I have never used my Mini in speedball, my assumption would be that for a backplayer, it would be decent, but for a front or mid player it would be mediocre at best (especially in today's company) as it might be too heavy or too large. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
All in all, the Minicocker seems to be a polar gun. People seem to love it or hate it. I love mine and it has never failed me. Minicockers are also splendid if you like to work on your own stuff, but only if you know what you're doing as there are many things that can come out of tune. For my style of play, I cannot imagine a better gun to use. |

Fast for a cocker
light

problems with re-cocking, right feed it has to have an elbow which breaks constantly
|
 |
| Review: |
This is pretty good overall. Definetly buy it from a shop because it has had alot of problems so far that my local pro shop has fixed and you probably dont want to have to pay for those problems to be fixed. It shoots incredibly straight and is fast enough without an eblade. It is right feed so you have to have and elbow which is always breaking which kinda sucks. Now that ive said my bad stuff heres the goods. Its really straight shooting and really fast if you get the hinge trigger which is like 50 i think. Its really light. doesnt hog too much air. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
I'd say you should definetley buy this product. If you want a tournament grade marker but you don't have the budget that can afford a timmy, go for this. |

Tippmann 98 custom, 2001 autococker. they dont compaire at all... the minicocker is GOD |
 |
| Marker Setup: |
I have a 99 minicocker, and i have a dye front block, free flow internals, and a freeflow bolt. on the top, i have a laser sight, and a dye boomstick berral. |
 |
Recommended Upgrades: |
get a trigger job, new berral, new bolt, cradle/drop forward, and nitro if u have the $$. and dont go looking for a free flow bolt, their not made n e more. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
| Strengths: |
The gun is awsome, and is great for both indoor, and out. i reccomend if u play outdoor, that u get a new berral... either j&j, or dye boomstick. this is the most accurate gun i have ever seen, and shoots as fast as your finger can pull the trigger. its pretty much scilent when u put paint through it, but i would make a scilencer if u have the time... this gun is mad durable, and if u dropped it off of a 10 story building, it would still work!! it also works excelent with co2, so dont get n2 unless u are rich!! |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
the trigger is OK, but i reccomend u get a trigger job. hte one bad thing is that when the rock chamber gets old, for like a year or so, it leaks though the rings and u'll have to get a new one. they only cost about 40 bucks, so not too much investment. other than that, i cant think of much. this is a great gun!! |
 |
| Conclusion: |
this is a great gun, and is consitered "GOD" on my paintball team, the H.E Militia. Get one if u can, these are exelent guns!! just make sure to get a trigger job, and lock the timing. good luck :-) |

| Strengths: |
this gun is very acurate(basicly it's shot like an arrow). I have had this gun for quite some time now(6 MOUTHS) and the first thing i realized about the gun's shooting is that it's alot easier to shoot then my old spyder. this gun is my all time beauty (yes i am sertin because i have shoot them all mag's,angel's,shocker's,ect...) because it is an all out great gun, even right out of the package with just minor problems!!! |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
This is problely number 1 to all who have bought this minicocker, the stock trigger. it is the only really bad thing about the gun i mean you have to bring the trigger all the way back before you can push it again(well it is not a total bummer at first because of it's acuratisy(not a very good speller, as you've noticed :^)you only need one good shot..BUT YOU SHOULD GET A NEW TRIGGER!!!and if you like to upgrade like i do then you should get a new barrel for it. there are many good barrels that will fit it. and last thing is that the interal bolts in it could be replaced and a rock reg. could be added. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
In conclusion this product is outstanding!!!It proforms well right out of the package(BUT YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE TRIGGER). All in all I think it is well worth the price and trust me it will blow way most guns!!!!! If I were tring to sell a Minicocker then I would sell it to a Novance-Semi-pro(yea that good)...So what could be better then this, its a average costing gun that is SUPER!!!!!!!!!! |

| Strengths: |
The mini-cocker is a great gun. it is one of the most quietest guns i have ever heard. Playing in the woods this is a great advantage. It had the ability to shoot at about 14-15 balls a second which is just as good as a regular automatic. I had a tippman model 98 it was a great gun but the autococker was just so much more dependable. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
The bad parts to this gun is that it is very high maintence. If you don't know what your doing don't do it. The trigger definently needs an upgrade especially if you don't want to short stroke it a lot. i recommend getting the custom products barrell it is an awesome barrell. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
All together thsi is the best gun thats ever ben layed in my hand. with it's quietness and agility it proves to be one of the top guns on the market at the time. you will need to upgrade a little on the barrell, trigger, and if you get picky about your guns get a new bolt. Thsi gun would tear up any other semi-automatic gun. this gun would be a great gun for a person that has ben into paintball for about ohh a half of year. |

| Strengths: |
This gun is very accurate. I am not very mechanically inclided but I decided to take a chance on a Cocker (they say they're hard to maintain). The key to this problem is DON'T TINKER w/ it and it works great. It's fast enough to keep up w/ most guns and I don't care for the SPRAY AND PRAY MENTALITY. |
 |
| Weaknesses: |
I have some trouble with the stock trigger but it's partially my fault. You have to release it all the way between shots. I thought there would be a greater difference in size between the Mini and Auto Cockers. The Mini limits the ugrades available slightly. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
This is a real good gun. It is definately worth the $. The barrel will need to be upgraded. I have a Smart Parts "Big Daddy" that I like a lot. I also have a LAPCO AutoSpirit. This barrel is extremely accurate, but loud.
Next time I'll get the standard Cocker for the reasons above. I also have the ANS pinless venturi bolt. It makes it possible to run a squeegie from the back block through the barrel, during a game possible. I've heard this bolt will wear fast so I'll buy another if I need to. |
