20" ceramics barrel
raised scope mount
red dot scope
bt solid stock
Solid, built to last, spare compartment, light
Twists slightly when installed, pricey
I am the sniper on my team and wanted a good solid stock for my gun. It cost about $60 (alittle pricey) Everyone has the m4 stock. i wanted something different but also good. when i bought the solid stock and put it on my gun i was amazed, this stock not only looks awesome but is very functional. it has a sling clip this i loved cause my gun fully loaded with all my gear weighs like 7lbs. when using this gun i noticed that it was rather hard to use my scope. i was able to do it but it wasnt the most comfortable. the only weakness with the stock is that it twist slightly side to side. this is annoying but if you twist the stock aroundto tighten it it helps, my stock completely tightened at like an off set angle so i have to leave it slightely loose. other than this it is a very good addition to any a-5.
This is a very good addition to any marker, and a very practical mod that not everyone in the entire world has.
Personally i love this stock. I only play on a woodsball field thats close to 60 acres so this stock works great for this type of field. It fits snug to the gun, doesnt wobble, might scratch a little but i havent had that problem I take care of my equipment and dont leave it out lying around for it to get scratched. If you like speed or air ball then this stock wont be the right one for you. My gun is definatly not compact when the stock is one and crawling would definaly be harder. But for woods ball its perfect and it looks way more realistic military looking than any other stock out there
At first your mask will get in the way a little bit and it does feel odd. It took me 2 full days to get adjusted to the feel and size. Once you feel comforable with it theres no looking back.
Tippmann A5 BT-47 Apex barrel kit and BT Combat stock
Compartment, light, looks real.
Can't use for aiming.
Looks cool and gives you a little stbility. I use the paintballs as tracers so don't care for aiming. The stock is lightweight and has a little compartment that's cool. There is a screw on top of the buttplate to tighten the stock if yours wobbles. The stock fits me perfectly so no complaints there. I do see the problems if it doesn't.(It's funny watching my litte brother trying to shoot it).
If your into that mil/sim look thumbs up for you. Other than that No.
12" J&J S2 Ceramic / DYE Xcel / BT Apex
WAS E-grip and Response Trigger (alternating)
CMI micro-coil remote
Looks pretty cool
Has a storage space
I got the BT Combat stock for Christmas, and I was pretty happy. Then I put it on, and it kinda wobbled a little. That was a little disappointing, but it was still really nice to have. It doesn't collapse, or have air-thru, or fold or anything other than just steady the gun, but it was still nice to have. And it does have a cool little storage compartment that came in handy a couple times for holding a swab or spare battery.
Now for the bad. It wobbles. Not a lot, but enough to be annoying. Also, since there is a single main screw holding the stock to the main cap, the whole stock spins around the long axis of the marker. Now before it broke, it was nice to steady shots, but it was a bit too long for close quarter battles.
And for the coup de grace: After carrying my marker around for about two hours in a scenario, I connected my harness to the provided loop at the base of the stock, and ten minutes later, my marker falls to the ground, shooting the rear spring out. The rear base plate had broken free of the quickstrip pins, effectively making it a 98C stock. It's now useless.
It works if you don't abuse it, but there are better choices out there for cheaper.
Tippmann A-5 with Trinity AK expansion chamber and AK-47 barrel.
Sturdy, looks good, has space for a swab/squeegee.
Not very practical for aiming.
The stock looks great on the gun, and if your not wearing a mask it works very well. But, as we all know, most people wear a full face mask when playing paintball, so that gets in the way and eliminates the ability to shoot using the normal sights on the gun.
Pros: It's very sturdy and can take plenty of abuse. It has a compartment in the rear to put cleaning supplies in, which can be very useful in the field. It also has a strap ring on it that's removeable from a screw. Any tank up to 20oz. will fit under it comfortably, but i would still recommend a remote line.
Cons: It's not practical for aiming. When i first used mine, it actually spun at the point where it connects to the gun, but the top screw in the rear tightens so that it doesnt do that. I would still prefer a full fixed stock. It also tends to wobble after it's been installed and removed a few times.
It's a good stock, however it sacrifices top rail aiming for good stability and looks. I still like the compartment to put cleaning tools in. I'll give it a 9 because it cant have all it's other features if it allowed you to aim through the top sights.
