Nightwriter Wednesday, March 7th, 2007 Period of Product Use: Less than a month Paintball Experience: 2 years Similar Products Used: None Marker Setup: Tippman Custom Pro- with 15" proto barell, empire auto feed hopper, Tapco composite folding stock. Strengths: Change sizes Weaknesses: Poorley designed Review: I bought this to play a game called terminator, where the only way i got out was someone shoot an circle on my chest, i got shot from almost 25 feet away and it still pretty much felt the pain and ball break. A traditional vest will absorb the impact and distribute the energy around the vest, this one does not. But when the ball broke on my chest it left a bruise but no cut, the shell didn't make contact with my chest so therfore it could have been worse. So in general it aint half bad. My Mom wouldnt give me any money so i got a job and bought my Tippy. I had to hide it because she wouldnt let me play. Now that solved one problem but the other was coming home with a bunch of quarter sized welts on my chest. So i bought this and now i can play all day and she doesnt even know. My friends give me a hard time about it but i just take a shot without it on to shut them up. KrunkaTeer Sunday, February 19th, 2006 Period of Product Use: Less than a month Paintball Experience: 1 year Similar Products Used: None Marker Setup: WGP 2004 Autocker Phsycoballistics Drop Forward 6 piece Hammerhead barrel kit Ricochet 2k hopper blue 72/300 Pure energy tank w/ rhino tank cover Strengths: Great protection Weaknesses: Poor movement ability, bulky Review: This chest protector is not really designed for any specific player, its more or less a one sized fits all type. It's very very hard to move in, as it is pretty wide and bulky. Im pretty thin so it didn't fit me all that well. It's pretty much like wearing a piece of cardboard. If you don't mind being uncomfortable the whole game, then it's the vest for you. It eliminates pain altogether, you don't feel getting hit at all. I don't wear mine any more because im used to getting shot by now, but if your beginning and young you might want this. Conclusion: All in all it's not all that great, I'm sure theres alot better vests that are easier to manuveur in. I'd recommend something different, but as far as protection goes it's decent.
