I bought this to play a game called terminator, where the only way i got out was someone shoot an circle on my chest, i got shot from almost 25 feet away and it still pretty much felt the pain and ball break. A traditional vest will absorb the impact and distribute the energy around the vest, this one does not. But when the ball broke on my chest it left a bruise but no cut, the shell didn't make contact with my chest so therfore it could have been worse. So in general it aint half bad.
Conclusion:
Im probably still going to play with it. its better than nothing.

When i first started playing paintball there where to major things stopping me, Money and Welts. My Mom wouldnt give me any money so i got a job and bought my Tippy. I had to hide it because she wouldnt let me play. Now that solved one problem but the other was coming home with a bunch of quarter sized welts on my chest. So i bought this and now i can play all day and she doesnt even know. My friends give me a hard time about it but i just take a shot without it on to shut them up.
Conclusion:
Buy it if you have a reason like me
Dont get it if your afraid to get hit like a little pansy

This chest protector is not really designed for any specific player, its more or less a one sized fits all type. It's very very hard to move in, as it is pretty wide and bulky. Im pretty thin so it didn't fit me all that well. It's pretty much like wearing a piece of cardboard. If you don't mind being uncomfortable the whole game, then it's the vest for you. It eliminates pain altogether, you don't feel getting hit at all. I don't wear mine any more because im used to getting shot by now, but if your beginning and young you might want this.
Conclusion:
All in all it's not all that great, I'm sure theres alot better vests that are easier to manuveur in. I'd recommend something different, but as far as protection goes it's decent.
