*Strengths*
* First of all, i would just like to say how impressed with this marker i am. It exceeded my expectations by a long shot. If you are coming up from a lower end marker like a spyder, you will be happy with this one. I must warn you though. I am, for the most part, a woodsball player, so that is the perspective from which this review is givin.
* Accuracy
This marker is hella accurate (thanks to the closed bolt design). If it tells you anything, just yesterday, i got into a shooting contest with one of my friends (He had an EXTRA... i have nothing more to say about that. lol. ne ways) We were shooting at a metal pole that was holding a bird house that was no bigger than one inch wide.(No, i didn't shoot ne birds). We were a good 15-20 yards back from the pole, and i was in a crouching position. It took me two shots to get onto target and from there I layed 10 paintballs on the pole right on top of eachother. I wish I had a picture of the pole to show u guys, but i don't. A week or so before this, i was shooting at a thin tree that was over 40 yards away. I hit it 75% of the time at least and saw little to no curve in the balls at all. Let me remind you that this is with a 9 1/2 in stock barrel. I put on an ultralight and noticed a difference, of course, but not even close enough of a difference to buy it. Why spend $90 when you have the same affect with the stock.
* Speed
WOW! That is how i would summarize how fast this marker can shoot. I got this marker so i wouldn't have to waste as much paint as i did with my imagine (accuracy and ROF). I tell you what, I can shoot pretty much just as fast as my friends with there little electronic spyders. The only other mechanical marker that i shot before this was the A5. You can LITERALLY FIRE 2-3 TIMES FASTER with this bad boy. No Joke. U gotta be careful though, or u will short stroke (i'll get to that later).
* Ball Breaks
I have easily shot 2000+ paintballs through this marker and havn't broke a ball yet. If u look down my barrel right now, it will look like it just came out of the box, and i havn't squeegeed it once.
* Quiet
Ok, this isn't really that much of a strength. It is still heard for a distance just like any other paintball marker, but it is definately quieter than my Imagine. That thing was a cannon compared to this. During the game, with all the excitement, the most dominant noise i here is the back block slapping against the back of the marker.
* Cleaning
In the time that it takes for me to squeegee my barrel on my Imagine, I could have the barrel cleaned, the bolt wiped off, and the bolt chamber squeegeed. Here is how it works. You pull the quick disconnect pin on the bolt and pull the bolt. There is nothing attached to it like there is on my spyder, and there is a straight shot to the end of the barrel with no obstructions. You take a paper towel and wipe off the bolt and pull the squeegee through the barrel and the chamber all at once. You then put the bolt back in and put in the pin and u are set to go. All of this happens in about 15-20 seconds (10 if ur bookin it). The beauty of it is, you don't have to worry about unscrewing the barrel and screwing it back in. That is a waste of time, and it could mean the difference between victory or defeat. Instead, you pull a little pin and the bold and put them back in.
* Sweet Looks
Self-explanatory. Just look at the picture above and imagine that with a green top half and a black bottom half.
*Weaknesses*
* These are all little things that have to do with personal preference. Personally, I think
are all bearable.
* 9 1/2 in Barrel
Once again, preference. In my opinion, this shoots just as well as any 14 in. barrel out there. This also depends on what you play on the field. If you are a front man, this is good. If you are a back man and you are used to longer barrels, this might take some time to get used to.
* Short Stroking
This is a problem that I have encountered once, and i havn't done it since. This happens when you don't pull the trigger all the way back and let it go all the way forward. You will get balls stuck in your barrel or you will double feed. No biggie once you get used to the trigger pull.
* Cocking Rod
I like this idea, but you need to be aware of something. If the cocking rod comes loose (unscrewed partially) your gun will not fire. The bolt will still re-cock though, so you will be pressing ball after ball into your barrel. You will know when this happens. Just be sure to check your cocking rod (btw, that is the metal thing underneath the bolt) to see if it is screwed in all the way.
* Compressed Air Only
Well, for some of us, this is a problem. For others, it isn't. Lucky for me, my birthday just came, so i got a little help. Money is the only issue here, because compressed air does nothing but good for your gun. It is more efficient, and it is cleaner than C02. It says in the manual that C02 can be used, but air is recommended, but in my opinion...C02 and autocockers just don't mix, and i think there are plenty others out there that would agree with me on that one. If the liquid C02 gets into the gun, especially the pneumatics, that isn't kool. If you must use C02, be sure to spend an extra $5 on an anti-siphon tube. I will prevent the liquid from getting into the gun, but it wtill wont be as efficient.
* Velocity
This is the only real problem that I have with this marker. Instead of the velocity being on the outside of the gun, it is inside and can only be changed with an allen wrench. This can be a pain in the butt sometimes, but it is probably for the better. For example...if you are at a field, this will prevent you from tweaking your velocity to above the limit. Yes, this can be a hassle, but if it prevents cheating, i guess i am for it (even though I am strongly against cheating).
Oh yea, I got one last thing for ya that you need to be aware about. Every 4 months or so, you need to take your cocker to a professional to be timed. You don't have to worry about it at first, because it comes timed out of the box. If I were you, I wouldn't mess with it, but if you want to try it, i found this timing video for you (and no, that ain't me)
http://cockertech.com/tech_videos.shtml
Edit:
Alright guys. I am going to add on to this review a tiny bit because i have pretty much a whole new gun, kind of. After using this gun for a year, I am still completely satisfied with it and i doubt i will ever get a new gun. I would just like to recommend a few things to you guys to get for this amazing gun to make it 10 times better. This is the obvious one... the E2. This baby can work wonders on the autococker and lets you rip. You lose no accuracy and no longer have the problem of short stroking. I also have an ultralite kit and that barrel is the most amazing barrel i have ever used, especially for the price. Highly recommended. These two things alone will improve this gun immensly, but i have now ran into a new problem. I have balls rolling out of my barrel unless they are a perfect match, which hasn't happened until now. I am pretty sure that it is my detents but then again idk because the bolt slides the ball past the detents in the gun. You would think that there would be something there to help hold the ball in the gun even if it is a bit too small. Still, the gun is freakin amazing. If you are thinking about buying it, do it, you won't be sorry.
|
 |
| Conclusion: |
Overall, I think that this is a great marker. I would recommend it for the speedballer and the woodsballer alike (it is probably more of a woodsball marker though because it is a mech.). It is accurate and an overall amazing gun. It may be a little pricy for some, but if you save up the money, it is well worth it. HAPPY PAINTING! |

e-blade makes a world of difference especially if others u play w/ don't have it. Most upgrades mentioned are optional basically preference except electronic hopper. Rate of fire can be a weakness but realy isn't. The gun fires as fast as u can pull the trigger. Ebalde will fire as fast as ur hopper. This gun is just as good as an outkast meaning there is no difference. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
I would recommend this product highly. A great advantage to this gun is that it can be easily upgraded to tournament level |

 |
| Review: |
The VRT Autococker Series has always been known as a good gun for a good price, and the '05 ProStock continues the name very well. Several changes and improvements have been made from the '04, such as a P-Block design, removable feedneck, and a shorter throw 3-way. Also, the '05 comes stock with a delrin bolt and a Black Magic regulator, parts considered upgrades for previous models.
Advantages
Accuracy-Although there is really no difference in accuracy between closed bolt markers(cockers) and high end open bolt markers, I can see a huge difference between my '05 and my Tippmann, and I'm sure the same is true for Spyders, Piranahs, and other low end open bolt markers. My '05 shoots consistantly flat and straight.
Lightweight and Small-This is mainly just an advantage over older model WGP cockers, as there are other brands that are smaller and lighter. When I first opened the box, I noticed how small and compact the '05 is. When I picked it up, the light weight surprised me, since I was so used to my heavy Tippmann. It weighs 2 lbs at most. You can begin playing with this marker in the morning and not start getting tired of holding it until mid-way through the afternoon.
Quiet-This marker is one of the most quiet markers I have ever heard. As long as you are shooting paint and not dry-firing, you don't even notice the noise of the shot, just the smooth whisper of the block cycling.
Disadvantages
Hard to Maintain-There are many more factors to the proper operation of a cocker than any open bolt mech marker. On top of that, it is very easy to break if you mess with it and don't know what you're doing. If something goes wrong, unless you have a lot of experience with cockers, you will probably have to take it into the shop to have it fixed.
Doesn't Run CO2 Well-Although you can run CO2 on this marker, I highly discourage it. I've had to use CO2 for the second half of event days due to my limited budget, and I believe its caused pretty much any problem I've had so far with this marker. Using anti-siphon CO2 is a must in my opinion, I highly recommend HPA if you can afford it.
|
 |
| Conclusion: |
If you are looking to buy an Autococker but don't want to spend a fortune, this is the marker to buy. It plays great stock, but can be upgraded to perform as well as any higher priced cocker if you want to take that road. I've had minimal problems with this marker, and its performace has been excellent. |

| Review: |
First off this gun is absolutely amazing fro what you pay for it. Now on to the review.
Out of the box this gun just looks dead sexy,adn shoots just as good. This gun is very accurate, especially with my redz barrel kit. You will also be amazed on how quite this gun is is you are used to tippys and spyders. Since this gun comes with an adjustable trigger, i have been able to make mine tiny. My trigger is about that of my friends imagine, and about same softness. To get an idea how short i got my trigger, put ur safety on ur gun adn feel how much it goes. Thats how my gun fires, my safety is pretty much useless its so short. It is a very easy process to shorten it, but i dont recommend it to nobs, or people who just got there cocker adn dont know a thing about it. Also dont listen to people talk about how hard it is to maintain, or clean. Timing it once a year is simple adn take a few minutes, and as for cleaning it goes like this: Come home spray your gun down with a hose, then dry it off to get all paint off, so inside and put some oil on the bolt o-rings, and every 3-4 games put about 3 drops of oil in the ASA and cycle it about 20 times with your barrel off, and your done!!!! |
 |
| Conclusion: |
Great gun, you will be amazed at your results. WGP pulls through magnificantly again. If anyone has any questions about timing or adjusting anything, or your gun is having problems email me or pm me and ill give you all the info you need. |

I was looking for a gun that was great for speedball and woodsball too. i didnt want to spend a lot of money on it though. The 05 prostock was great. I got it for 330 with free shipping and everything. I got the gun in orange because ive never seen an orange gun before. And because it looked cool too.
The gun is extremely light. It is made out of tough aluminum with a simple design. Sleek 3d milling is visable throughout the whole gun too.
I wanted to see what this gun could do right out of the box. I just threw a basic N2 tank with an electric hopper and shot some paint in my yard. It is so accurate! I couldnt wait to get a better barrel on there and see what it could really do.
This gun is also not loud at all. I compared it to my 98 flatline and it is a third of the weight, 10 times softer, more accurate, and shoots harder.
If you cant deside what gun you want you should deffinately consider this one if you what a tough gun right out of the box. |

| Review: |
This gun, like all Autocockers, is one of the most accurate guns out there (paired with the right barrel, I recommend a 14" DYE Boomstick if you are a front/midfield player). The Autococker has new looks making it look very intimidating. It is a very good idea to use Nitro with this gun as it sucks up alot of air due to the airopneumatic cocking system. This gun was very accurate. Me and my friends (2 with flatlines on their A-5 and Custom 98) played woodball. The 'Cocker kept up quite well with the Flatlines in distance and accuracy. As always when a ball broke once in awhile the ball became innaccurate and so always carry a squeegee with you. Although the gun did not have a high rate of fire, the accuracy of the gun made up for it with the precise shots.
I decided to test it on the target. For those of you on a fixed income/budget and cannot afford to buy a new barrel the stock barrel is pretty good. Although the stock barrel is not that eye catchy as its just black with no gas porting (i decided to paint some flames on the end to give it a intimidating look :) The stock barrel is not that bad, to about 40-60 yards, and then the dropoff takes its toll. I went to about 30 yards away from a target about 12" by 12". I hit the target about 90% of the time, May I remind you that this is with the 11" Stock barrel. That is damn good for a gun and it just shows you what the Autococker can do.
I then took it to 60 yards. This time it was definitely harder to hit the target. I had to noticeably increase the angle of altitude at which I was shooting. Note that this is the dropoff taking its toll. This is where buying a new barrel is a good idea. This time the accuracy was about 20%. So I decided to strap on my 14" DYE Boomstick. Definately better performance. I decreased the angle of altitude by almost 2/3 (so if I had the gun at a 30 degree angle I decreased it to about a 10 degree angle). Pairing the Boomstick and the 'Cocker increased my hit percentage to about 60%. This is one of the reasons the 'Cocker is a very good sniper gun (god only knows how accurate it would have been with an 18")
One thing that is noticeable about the 'Cocker is the ROF. I dont know how fast I shoot but it might be around 5-6 BPS. It could just be me as I dont have very fast fingers or it could just be the 'Cocker as they are known to be a slow firing gun. The accuracy more than makes up for the lack of fire rate. Keep in mind that you can have some Gung Ho kid over there shooting 15 BPS and shoot 100 balls and miss every shot and you could be shooting 5 BPS and shoot 20 balls and get him out. My philosophy is that shooting tons of paint very fast makes no difference in how many tags you get. It matters how accurate you can be and making the right shots, not shooting tons of paint just trying to get someone out. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
The most evident feature of the Autococker is obviously its outstanding accuracy. This gun should not be used by the player who likes to shoot very fast. The gun is a very good choice for the sniper or back player. The 'Cockers compact enough to be respected by the front player also, despite its heavy weight. |

| Review: |
Ok well i bought this marker new for about $260 (BIGGEST MISTAKE IN ALL MY PAINTBALLING YEARS) before this gun i was using a tippmain 98 custum and i can certianly say that was 10 times better that this gun. I used it around 3 times and i put the air in it at a local feild and the reg started leaking. I gave it to the airsmith and he said "you blew and o-ring in your reg" so then i missed around 4 or so matches while he took it apart and replaces the o-ring.
After he was done i went out and started playing, it was working OK for 2 or 3 matches the my gun started leaking again in the reg. The airsmith mumbles something about taking it apart again and doing this and that but i said ill live with it.
Now im trying to sell the marker to a friend. I STRONGLY do not recomend this marker. If your going to spend $250 on a paintball gun buy an ION for 200. (thats what i did and ive has NO problems with the ION.)
the ION is walkable, reliable, and you dont have to go spend $230 for an E2.
Do not buy this gun. |
 |
| Conclusion: |
I give this gun a 2 because i could of gotten an ION for $50 less and the ion just plain kicks this guns beaver tail. DONT BUY THIS MARKER. you might like it at first but trust me ur gonna wish you went with a different gun. |

| Review: |
This was my second marker , It came with an allen wrench, instruction manual witch dosent help alot, and a very low quality but helpfull instruction dvd. Screwed on a 20oz co2 (this guns pretty good wit co2 1000+ shots) with a grav hopper witch didnt fit well cause of the wide neck, Put in some diablo heats and went out to try it. Using the stock its pretty accurate up to about 50ft any farther and the stocks not that great, it might of just been my paintballs sence the stock barrel bore is pretty big and one ball would roll outa the barrel after every shot when i pointed the gun down. Velocity was pretty low so i had to turn it up. After adjusting it i tried it out with a 12" dye xcel but something was wrong, the gun wouldnt recock, after finaly finding out it was the cocking rod not screwd in all the way i tried puting it in farther but no use it was jammed up pretty good, i eventualy gave up on screwing it in and out and put my other c-rod in and fine. The accuracy wit a new barrel is so amazing its just.. well amazing i can hit the same splat mark from a pretty good distance, all i have left to say is that it never choped once cept for when i used a cheap elec hopper and the balls got forced down and that the beaver tail gets pretty loose and u should put a new screw in.
~Updates~
been using a grav hopper with an orracle hirise feed l8ly and i havent choped any paint cept when my paintballs had dents in them or when i used a kind calld ramp.
~Update~
I use the stock feed neck now with a halo tsa led frontman and 14" ultralite barrel. Acurracy is still great with no barrel breaks unless you use bad paint and with the new hopper the feeding is greaty improved even with the stock low rise. |

| Conclusion: |
Awsome gun, get a new barrel and its the most accurate thing ever, air efficient and reliable wit c02 or hpa, one of the best markers ive used.
