The Sniper III is the Minicocker version of the Sniper II. Like the Minicocker, this model sports a lighter weight and more compact body style. Also like The Sniper II, this model can be upgraded to an Autococker with the purchase of an optional updgrade kit available from WGP.
Product Availability
The Worr Game Products Sniper III is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

I have a Sterling STP. It's lighter and easier to pump, but also a lot flashier (not good for woods play).
Marker Setup: First, realize that this marker (S/N 2994) is old. It's got a pivot trigger instead of the sliding trigger like most other Snipers (2 or 3). I've got a Marker bolt (ANS Quickpull bolt removal and DYE Centerline valve/venturi front). I installed a RAT 3:16 valve and a front block. It's regulated by a AKA Sidewinder attached to a LAPCO vertical adapter. I usually us a BOA Concealer barrel for woods play, or a Lapco AutoSpirit for speedball arenas/tournaments. Typically I run an Armageddon 68/4500 nitro tank on a Shocktech D/F. This combination lets me run at about 250psi @ 270fps.
Recommended
Upgrades:
High-flow valve and a regulator for consistency
Good-quality barrel
Strengths: Heavier Platform (more stable)
Excellent Barrel Selection
Easy to Find Parts
Built like a TANK
Pivoting Trigger
Light Trigger
Extremely Consistent (+/- 3fps)
Very Accurate w/ Paint-Barrel Match
Weaknesses: No Autotrigger
Stiff Pump Action
Heavier Platform (can be tedious to carry) - of course, the nitro tank doesn't help :P
Conclusion: If you like a heavier marker and are a little rough on your markers, then the Sniper 3 is an excellent choice. The price may be high, especially compared to "high-end" pumps like the Sterling STP, but the aftermarket availability of parts and upgrades offsets that considerably.

Strengths: This gun is a tough mother. I fall when I'm playing sometimes and that doesn't do anything to the gun, and I've fallen on it hard. It's very accurate even with the stock barrel and is really to clean. I sometimes field strip it when I'm playing and have no problems.
Weaknesses: The gun is loud. I mean it's nothing horrible or anything, but with the barrel that comes with it, it's loud. Also, something that I have had trouble with is that sometimes the pump action is a little stiff, but it's not a big deal. Beginners do not buy this gun. You will F*** it up.
Conclusion: I love this gun. I have been playing with it for about 4 months and it's great. It's a little loud, but smetimes that noise will scare an inexperienced player into surrendering. This gun is extremely upgradable and it can even be turned into a full auto gun. I would recomend this gun to anyone (except people who haven't used pumps) because it is just so awesome. I would give it a 10, but i believe that everything can be improved on.

sniper 2, phantom, sterling, hammerhead
Marker Setup: vf cocker with everything but an e-blade

Upgrades:
bolt, trigger frame, barrel (if you can find one that works with the pump arm), compressed air
Strengths: accurate, quick, smooth, upgradeable, people's aversion to being shot out by a pump
Weaknesses: heavy, hard to find barrels for, loud, pump
Review: as far as high end pumps go, this is one of the best. just think autococker without the auto. this thing is accurate, the pump action is quick and smooth, and just about every cocker upgrade will work (except for the front block stuff). it can even be converted without too much trouble. all it is is a mini-cocker pump. some internals, grip, bolt, barrels, etc. however, the main shortcoming of the gun is in the barrel department.

like most guns, the stock barrel on a sniper III leaves something to be desired. it is accurate and consistent, but aftermarket barrels are the way to go. however, on the sniper III, the pump arm wraps around the barrel, using it as a guide while you go through the pump stroke. the stock barrel is markedly thicker and flatter than most barrels. this way the pump stroke is smooth and consistent. this also means no boomstick or ultralite or J&J or freak or kaner or teardrop or x-cel barrel. all these barrels are either not consistently flat or are too skinny. this affects the pump stroke considerably. the pump arm wobbles and might even get stuck or damaged. old school all-american barrels and some others are the only barrels i have found that will work with the sniper III.

besides the barrel problem, this is a good pump. my favorite part about shooting a pump? watching the kid with the angel you just shot walk to the dead zone, spot you, and realize that you just shot him with a pump. the looks and comments are priceless.
Conclusion: the sniper III is just another accurate addition to the WGP ineup of guns. i loved shooting mine, but alas i moves on to a vert-feed cocker. oh darn. if i needed a pump personally i would grab a sniper two. same great features, but you don't have to worry about the barrel thing. if it wasn't for the barrel problem, the sniper III would get a 9. instead it gets an 8.

phantom, carter buzzard, sniper II
Marker Setup: Carter Buzzard - Stock Class
sniper III - custom horizontal 10-round feed tube, benchmark 45 grip, in-yo-face angled stock, 4 oz CO2 tank, lapco autospirit.
Recommended
Upgrades:
a shoulder stock and a new barrel
Strengths: It's a pump. You'll improve on your snap shot and save paint while doing it. It's closed bolt so it's possible to be very accurate with it. I say "possible" because not everyone has a steady aim. It's a little shorter than the sniper II which might make a difference on the tournament level. If you decide to play semi then all ou need to do is slap on some pneumatics and you get an minicocker.

If you strip it down to basics then you get a very light and versatile marker.
Weaknesses: The pump grip wraps around the barrel which might make for a bigger learning curve. If you think this will hinder your performance then opt for the sniper II.

The pump arm wobbles since the only this stabilizing it is the barrel. After shooting it a while you don't seem to notice it though.
Conclusion: A great marker. More heavily built than the phantom and can be converted to semi and back. If you're only interested in pump playing, and have no interest in autocockers, I suggest getting a VSC phantom for about the same price.

Marker Setup: Sniper III with a 5 inch dropforward, compressed air, ANS pnuematics, richchet 2k,14 inch aci phat barrel system, shocktech frontblock, pmi pure energy regulator
Recommended
Upgrades:
barrel, dropforward (psycho ballistics d/f's are good for it)
Strengths: accurate as hell
light weight
upgradable
easy action
crisp trigger
tough
reliable
relativly small
easy to maintain
Weaknesses: stock barrel (it's a stock barrel)
pump arm is lose
velocity adjust is annoying
Conclusion: This is a great gun. It is unique, and draws looks, then shuts up people bad mouthing pumps. I just upgraded mine to semi-auto this weekend and am having problems finding a dropforward that works with how low my reg is, but overall, it's a great little marker and anyone who is thinking of getting a pump gun should get this thing. I love mine and the people that I play with respect the fact that I can get most of them with my pump when they have angels and autocockers. I give this gun a 9 for two reasons: 1st because I had some problems getting parts for the pnuems and 2nd because i think that anything can be improved on.

Strengths: quiet (with aftermarket barrel), accurate, and easy maitenance...a very easy gun to fall in love with. for those fond of sniper tactics, this is one hell of a gun. if you want to be agressive, the pump action is very quick and the gun doesn't kick very much. one of the best pumps i've used. very good range, easy to clean, take apart, and upgrade (besides barrels).
Weaknesses: the pump hadle slides over the barrel, and it is hard to find aftermarket barrels that will accomedate it. also, the stock barrel is a little loud, although it is accurate for the length. very few flaws, but i wanted to put a boomstick on and the pump handle will just wiggle around on a barrel that doesn't have much girth.
Conclusion: i love my sniper 3, and as far as pumps go, i can't find many better. it's a little pricy, but it is worth the look on the faces of the electro-jocks when you tag em with a "lowly" pump. anyone who wants to get a pump, make this your first option, it's woth it. especially if you get into pump tourneys...it pumps quick and smooth, and can outshoot most other pumps. WGP made a gem....

Strengths: Ok...Get comfortable

This gun is by far the most insane pump gun I have ever shot.
Dead on accurate.
Very few ball breaks.
Air effecient.
No swerving.
Extremely quiet.
I was playing at a local field and the ref told me that he coudn't even hear me shoot(I did upgrade to a 16" SP All American).
Nice trigger pull.
Upgradable to semi.
Weaknesses: As with most PB guns the stock barrel should be replaced(although the stock was pretty accurate for its size).
Pump feels loose.
Not much at all wrong.
Somewhat expensive but well worth it. believe me.
Conclusion: If you are thinking about buying this gun, go for it. It will be the best choice you could make for a pump. It is a very reliable gun. I have been using this gun for several months, and have only had 3 balls break. Like I said the AA barrel makes this gun nearly silent. If they can't see you, it will take plenty of time for them to figure out your possition. Buy it.

I would give it a 9.5, but there is no option for it. Despite the fixable bad points, its almost perfect!!!!!!

Strengths: Solidly built, all the components are high-quality. The world's most upgradeable pump, you can upgrade everything on it. A zillion and one different barrels for it, although some barrels interfere with the pump handle. Easily upgraded to a semi, or even an electronic marker. Accurate, comes with a bottom-line.
Weaknesses: The stock barrel is underwhelming, The pump handle rides on the barrel, so many of the best aftermarket barrels won't work, the pump arm return spring is too small and slips into the pump arm groove, although this is easily remedied by putting a small washer on the pump arm, between the spring and the front block. Weird airline. (It actually uses a banjo bolt for the air intake.) No auto-trigger.
Conclusion: All round, it's a good marker, It does need the Sniper II style pump handle and a washer on the pump arm return spring, also the barrel that comes with the Autococker would be nice, as this isn't the cheapest pump. The good performance, availability of upgrades like the Sniper SHO mod and the ability to turn it into a 'cocker or even a Sandridge F5(The world's only pump to electro upgrade) makes this a kick-ass marker despite a number of minor flaws
