Recommended
Upgrades:
Nothing stock comes with everything i like
Maybe a planet eclipse qev
Strengths: Looks
Cheap
Better than stock ions
Comes with everything ions need
Weaknesses: The color options
Review: I saw this gun in a smart parts magazine and i liked the way it was compared to a dynasty ion which i think is better than a dynasty ion so i got the punisher ion. This gun is bad @$$ it is the best gun ive use it comes with the punisher frame, q-lock, pro-touch grips, freak barrel, blackheart board, sweet body and thats all you need.
Conclusion: This gun is cheap, and well built. Get any ion and just get it the way you like!

Upgrades:
Bolt kit or a board, but it's really pretty good stock. Some people don't like the stock trigger, but i find it works really nice.
Strengths: The shape of the grip frame is perfect. The body is a little wild.
Weaknesses: People have a preconceived opinion about Ions that since they're cheap, they must suck.
Review: I really like the feel of this body/frame kit, it's a whole new feel from the stock frame, and the body goes without saying, nobody really likes a stock Ion body.
It's a great marker in stock form and a really nice when you upgrade it a bit. The only problems I've ran into with Ions in general have been detents and a few leaky hoses which are simple fixes.
This body (punisher's) had to be very slightly clearanced to use a Planet Eclipse QEV.
Installing NDZ detents without taping them down is also a little tricky due to the body's milling, but once you figure it out, it's no big deal, you just have to twist the body a little more than you would the stock (or some other) bodies.
Conclusion: It's all a matter of taste...you can sink a lot of money into an Ion and be happy as long as you don't listen to other people rag on you for having an Ion. I personally think they're good markers, especially as a back up.
Do what'cha like. This Ion kit feels amazing.
