Review:
Ok, I couldn't stand the stock plastic ion trigger n e longer, it seemed like the plastic trigger on the ion would break any day now, so instead of taking an other risk in the fields, I decided to get this trigger. I got mine for only 29.99 at my paintball shop. Its very light very adjustable, more adjustable than the CP trigger, but i have to worn u, a lighter trigger is not always the best. When i cramp this trigger in my ion i adjusted the trigger to the lightest of the max ( NOTE: when adjusting the trigger, one of the screws on the top will have contact to one of the banjo fittings on the top of the trigger, its normal for the trigger to do this so that the trigger can adjust) the trigger was so light, that u can shake the gun and it would fire. So i shot some air through my ion and this trigger made my ion shoot constant ropes, but when i stopped walking my trigger the gun still kept on firing. It didnt continue fring constantly it only fired like 7 extra shots. It didnt do this all the time but somtime it did and i realize it was the magnet in the trigger. So I loosen up the trigger a little bit and everything worked fine there werent any extra shots and i could still able to fire constant ropes and the trigger was still light and its easy to walk the trigg on this trigger. And i went to the fields the next day and kicked some ass with this trigger!
Conclusion:
If you are planning to buy this trigger for your ion remember, do not adjust it to short that you can shake your gun and it would fire, but adjust it just right depending on how light you want it. This is a great trigger and a great upgrade for your ION. GET it and kick some ass!!!!!!!
For the Ion, the stock trigger never did me wrong. I upgraded it because everyone said it was needed...
Marker Setup:
Ion, Blackcell body and stock, Lapco feedneck, SP 360 QEV, Stiffi barrel
Strengths:
It may be a great product, but from my experience, I wouldn't know
Weaknesses:
Don't get me started
Review:
I'm sure the one I got from actionvillage was just manufactured wrong. However, I paid over $20, for something I needed that weekend, that only aggravated me. Whatever the reason, that was my experience. I personally will never buy anything else from ND. I can't reccoment it, honestly.
Conclusion:
I can't reccomend it, although I don't totally blame the product. I needed it. I bought it. It sure didn't perform. That's it. An honest review.
SP ION
New Designz Roller Wave Trigger
All American Barrel
48 cu CF Stako
VLocity
Strengths:
Easy regulation, easy to walk, comfortable, light, looks good,
Weaknesses:
Few problems during installation, not much else
Review:
I got this trigger a few weeks ago, after my stock trigger broke in half and took the magnet with it. During installation I snapped an allen key on one of the screws in the ion frame (excessive use of loctite by Smart Parts) which meant that i had to get a whole new grip. Also the tools provided with the trigger do not allow for complete regulation(i have personal ones), it is strange that new designz would use different allen keys for each of the 3 screws. Other than installation, the trigger ruleZ:p its light and very easy to walk. Very comfortable and allows a wide range of regulation, the nylon tipped screws are good because unlike the stock trigger they do not cause damage to the grip.
All in all this trigger does what it is supposed to, allow for very fast shooting, and it looks good doing it. It is slightly expensive though.
Conclusion:
If you can get a deal on this trigger, or have cash to spend, i highly recommend this trigger. It is far better than the stock trigger and will leave you shooting ropes all over.
