High-efficiency bolt for the Ion - lighter, more air efficient, and better aerodynamics for better performance.
The bolt increases air efficiency, reduces the overall weight of the Ion, and boosts performance in several noticeable areas:
WEIGHT: The Redz Ion bolt is 11.4 grams lighter than the stock bolt. This translates to a quicker cycling time, less recoil and less air required to push the bolt back and forth..
CONSTRUCTION: The Redz Ion bolt is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, and hard-anodized, making it rugged and long-lasting.
AERODYNAMICS: Designed with high-flow air porting, which requires less air pressure, and a lower dwell. The dwell in an Ion can be reduced from the default setting of 50, down to between 25 and 35. The forward chamber is also hollowed out so paint is hit with a cushion of air, which will distort the ball less, leading to a more accurate shot, and less paint breakage.
AIR SEAL: Multiple O-Rings in the rear of the bolt allow for a better air seal, and less leakage when the Ion is fired. Redz also incorporated the best o-rings money can buy – they’re made of neoprene and won’t wear out as easily as other o-rings commonly found elsewhere.
All of these factors combine into a bolt that is a “must-have” upgrade for any Ion owner who is looking for greater performance, less weight, and a more accurate shot. Players will get better performance out of their Ion, using less air, which will let them play for longer.
The Redz Ion Bolt is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.
Basically all of them
Totally Upgraded--too much to list.
Lighter than stock bolt
Overall quality for the money
I have tested all the Ion bolts. This bolt, like many others, falls into the "L6 replica" category. It weights about 24 grams, and I cant say that it looks all that impressive when you take it out of the package.
Shooting wise, I give it a 7. It was not as smooth or consistent as the L6 over the chrono.
Not a bad bolt, but def not the best. This bolt is typical of anything Ive ever seen from Redz. Cheap looking. That seems to be the trend with Redz though. Sell C grade parts, market them as A grade, and sell them at A grade price. Because I think that it is a C grade product I give it a 7. I dont feel like its a waste of money, but its def not the best use of your money in my opinion.
If I had to choose any Ion bolt, it would be the L6. Its much higher quality, lighter, and has teflon coating. Overall the L6 is just a better bolt.
7 out of 10

Inexpensive, gas efficient, light, lowers kick, and looks hott!
None so far
I was a bit skeptical about the Redz bolt, what with it coming onto the already competitive ion bolt market so late, but I decided to give it a try. Taking it out of the box my first impression was how light it was and the wonderful annodizing job done, all what I would expect from any aftermarket ion bolt. The differences with the Redz bolt was the double o-rings on back and the milling job done to avoid any 90* angle
After taking my new bolt to the fields for a day I realized what a work of art Redz had created. I lowered my dwell down to 7 with my only other internal upgrade being a qev. I got over 1400 shots to a 3700 psi fill, roughly 100-200 more shots than my friend's firebolt.
I examined my bolt after two cases of paint and found not even the slightest of damage or wear to the annodizing. The extra o-ring on the back gives this bolt a better clearence resulting in less wear on the annodizing than the firebolt.
Redz has put fourth an excellent bolt for the ion that directly competes with any other after market ion bolt. I personally prefer this bolt over any other and would recommend it to anyone. The only reason I give this bolt a 9 and not a 10 is because I believe there is still room for someone to create a completely unique ion bolt that will be unchallenged by any other. For now Redz has come close.

the redz bolt is similar to the L6 but with a cheaper price tag, I lowered my dwell by 10 and lowered my pressure by 12 psi. I would have to say it probly is maybe a gram or 2 heavier than the L6 but still is deadly light. I would recommend this bolt to anyone that is short of money and dont want to pay 55 for the L6. The redz bolt runs at around 39 dollars, not a bad price for a great bolt.
I will give this a 10 because it is better than the firebolt and similar to the L6 but at a cheaper Price!! :-)

ok I got this bolt about 3 months ago and my first thoughts where good, but then i used it, man was i wrong. first off i put it in got my dwell to 16, my bolt return delay to 11, pretty good. I dry fired the gun and man did it shoot fast. so I took it outside and shot mabye 20 balls and bam broken ball, now I know the eyes where on so it had to be something else so I put on my whisper barrel and shot about 30 balls and guess what broken ball. now at first I didnt even think of the bolt doing it, so I tryed everything and still broken balls. so finnaly I put the stock bolt back in and shot around 400 balls and guess what no breaks at all, so if you like broken balls buy this bolt right now, if not dont waste your money.
I would have to say dont buy, the stock bolt is better what does that say, save your money and get a good bolt. its light that is the only thing going for it. thats the only reason it gets higher than a 1
