Place flashlights, scopes, lasers, red dots, sites, cup holders, or almost anything to the side of most Spyders (see compatibility chart). It uses the "picatinny" or "weaver" standard scope mount base. And it attaches to the side of the marker when the ball detent sits. Rail extenders and elevators can also be used.
The replacement ball detent is made of teflon. Which unlike the original steel ball, will not mar or damage the upper bolt.
All the necessary mounting hardware is provided with the rail.
Product Availability
The GunHead Picatinny Mount Rail is older, so while it may be available used and in a few cases new, it is not commonly available anymore.

Simple, unique, and only option out there besides barrel mounts.
Weaknesses:
Paint Finish, a little tall, and pricey.
Review:
When I found these rails I was quite happy as they allowed me to mount items on my Fenix without using barrel mounts that are less effective for sights. I also liked the teflon ball detents to replace the metal stock ones - as I have a delron bolt that I didn't want to get worn from the stock ones over time. The side mounting was also nice at keeping my profile lower, allowing my dropped tank to act as a perfect stock. Once I get a warp feed I'll have a very low profile for sighting and a lot less target areas to get hit up top.
I was one of the first customers of these rails from Gunhead and the first set I ordered were a little off on the distance the detents sat in the receiver of my marker, causing double feeds. I emailed Gunhead and received a very prompt response from them. They were extremely proactive in trying to resolve the issue and redesigned the rail and got new ones to me within 2 weeks (which is quick for a redesign). I was very satisfied with their concern for my happiness and for improving their product and getting it to me ASAP. I would definitely shop with Gunhead again due to their good customer service.
The only negatives to me besides the initial fit, was the finish of the rails could be a little better and that they seem a little tall for their function on my marker. They give my marker more options for my rec-ball play and I have had compliments on their look and function with my marker.
EDIT: Fixed some awkward wording.
Conclusion:
Nice product, very unique mounting rail for Spyder owners for rec-ball...just a little pricey and could be refined just a little bit more.

Review:
Well i wanted to get a sight for my marker, but the verticle hopper was limiting my options... meaning i had none. That was before i found the Picatinny mount. This is basically THE only option for spyders out there. It sits where the ball detent is. I installed mine in about two seconds and it looked fine. It turned out that the screw was too long and when i went to cock the gun it wouldn't move because the screw was holding it in place. The problem was solved with a washer picked up at the local hardware store. Other than that problem it was an excellent upgrade.
Conclusion:
If you own a spyder and you want to mount a sight on it then get this but be prepared to get a washer to modify it.
