We've got so much cool stuff on this thing we'll probably be paying royalties to 1/2 the companies in paintball and your grandma. We can't even figure out if we're making money on it, but it's just too slick not to sell!

When Performance is Not an Option, Look to One Name...Shocktech

Marker Setup: shocktech body, shocktech drop forward, shocktech on/off asa, virtue board, virtue on/off button, custom products trigger, custom products regulator, trinity feedneck, smartparts qev, smart parts all american barrel front and back, killa ball detents, techt-t L7 bolt, new designz breech/firingcan combo, dye pressure gauge.
Strengths: Looks, ease of bolt out back.
Weaknesses: Installation.
Review: Looks great, not to heavy.

The only problem i had with this product was the instalation. When i gassed up my gun it was leaking at the back of the body and after several tries to correct this my self i finally gave up and went to my local shop. The problem ended up being poor washers on the body and on the firing can. After the washer upgrade it work perfect. I only gave it an 8 for the headache and extra cost for the instalation problems.
Conclusion: If you can afford it i would def by this for sheer looks and of course you get the benefit of not having to completely tak your gun appart via the back cap.

Any B.O.B. shell or body really.
Marker Setup: Black/Blue Ion: Black Shocktech Shell, 12" Powerlyte Scepter Barrel, VP Scythe Trigger, NDZ QEV, Blue NDZ Clamping Feedneck, Kila Reaction Detents, Lucky Stage 1 LBM w/ Bolt Stop, Blue Stage 2, Blue/Back Unimount, Blue Hybrid Contract Killer Grips, Evolve PI Reg, Smoke LCD Apache, Crossfire 68/45k.
Strengths: Gives the the ion a new look and easy access to the bolt.
Weaknesses: See review.
Review: Very nice shell since it's one of the few B.O.B. (Bolt Out Back) shells out. It's now easier to get at the bolt and clean and lube it. So no more taking the whole gun apart to get at the bolt. It has very nice looks and being all aluminum gives the ion the more high-end feel and looks. The cuts on it allow you to see the breach and firing chamber making them stand out really nice. The only thing wrong w/ it for me is that it doesn't like the stage 2 very well since it's a little longer then the stock firing can. But it still works you just don't use the middle frame screw which isn't really needed anyway. Other then that i have no complaints. Now for the weight, it weighs 6 oz. compared to the stock shells 4 oz. so it's not that much heavier. Before i put it on my ion weighed 2 lbs 7 oz. w/ barrel so now it's back up to the stock weight. Another nice thing i like about this is that it comes w/ a new feed neck. I broke my old Ndz one so this was a God send. The price of $150 isn't bad but it's expensive compared to non B.O.B shells. But it's worth spending the extra money on it IMO.
Conclusion: If you like the looks then i say get it for sure. But there's other B.O.B. shells and bodies out there so also look at those and get the one you like the most. Even though it has a little trouble w/ the stage 2 i'll still give it a 10 for being so nice.

Stock body? it's like an S5(.1)
Marker Setup: Ion, alot of ups (pic: http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c360/seanrquinn/IMG_3444-1

Strengths: BOB
Looks
Free Feedneck
Weaknesses: Easy to lose oring
weight i guess
Review: Well, the design on this body is great. It uses the usual semi BOB design of making a backplug that works like the donut, you take out hte backplug, unscrew your can, and there's your bolt. Works exactly as said. The only problem you might want to watch out for, the back plug oring (it's on the flat part of it, the bottom), it falls out quite easily, and that would make it easy to lose. I also reccomend lubing this oring, as to make a better seal and make backplug removal easier.
Conclusion: Overall a great product, definately deserves a 9. Why a 9? a 10 is lucky, which doesnt need any screws removed, and you only have to unscrew one thing and you have the bolt.

UPDATE 3/27/08
SSC version shaves rings.
Review: Let me first say that this is a great looking body kit. It is also light at just an once or so over the stock polymer body. Overall, I am very pleased with it. That said, installation and reassembly is not the easiest. Below are some of the problems I encountered during installation:
1) Kit requires removal of donut clip/donut swivel to accomodate body kit rear plug. Removal of donut clip requires a special tool or a lot of ingenuity (and 4 hands).
2) Stock firing chamber donut swivel o'rings were too small and the marker leaked like crazy until I replaced them with standard bottle o'rings. At first I though the solenoid had blown but, thankfully, I was able to troubleshoot the problem. Once I put on stock bottle o'rings, the leak stopped but now the rear plug is quite snug and requires quite a bit of effort to pull out when utilizing the bolt out back feature.
3) The rear plug has a small o'ring which sits in a cutout. This o'ring creates the seal for the firing chamber air input. This ring falls out a lot and requires a good amount of dow 33 to hold it in place and create the seal.

UPDATE 3/27/08
This update is meant to help out those considering buying the SSC body. I don't know if the standard body has this issue but I suspect it might. I still believe that the body is good but the rear plug will consistently shave the chamber O-rings (the ones on the outside that create a seal with the plug). Before anyone jumps the gun with the remarks, let me say that I use a generous amount of shocker lube on the rings as well as inside the front lip of the rear plug where it passes over the rings so lubrication is not the issue. The reason the shaving occurs is that the inner hole for the chamber input air (it's the forward hole in the plug) is quite sharp and when this hole passes over the rearmost chamber o-ring, it usually cleanly shaves a very small flat spot into the ring and this creates a leak. But, there is a solution. Very carefully roll a .5 inch strip of fine sand paper into a tight tube which will fit in the hole from the inside of the plug. Take a pair of needlenose pliers and grip the small roll at one end. Now, very gently put the roll in the hole at a slight angle and lightly sand the sharp edges off. You will need to angle the sand paper sligtly more (for the back portion of the hole) or less (for the front portion of the hole) than 90 degrees to knock of the front and back sharp edges. Be careful not to round the edges so far that a leak is created under the rear chamber o'ring (which is located only a few milimeters past the input hole). This technique works well and has completely fixed the shaving problem on one of my markers. I sent the other body back and got a redz before I discovered the problem. Hope this helps.
For having to slighly modify the body, the rating is dropped to a 7.

I have yet to crono my gun with the new kit but, thus far, I've had no further pressure leaks. The anodized red really looks awesome. The SSC kit also has the advantage of not letting paint into the chamber area due to having no cut outs.
Conclusion: A bit difficult to install but well worth it if you have the technical ability and patience to do tackle the job.

Review: A good accesory for all those people that like style. Also for those picky people that hav to get that certain color or glossy or dust. It adds a little pazazz into your ion and gives it an identity. When i opened the box it already came with a hose attached. There were no instructions to follow. That might sound stupid because its just a body but there were a few minor problems with me installing it. I also had to shorten the hose that came with it a little bit.
Conclusion: The first time i saw it i said to my self i must have it so i got it. Its a little expensive but it was worth it.
