Review: When I got this board I was amazed with the quality of the packaging and the way the board was shipped. Very, very nice! The board is white, not green like the stock one and first you notice the 3 connectors at the back of the board. One for the battery harness, membrane and external Power LED.

I got this board up and running. Installation was simple, nothing different than the stock board. Its really easy to setup the modes and settings. Everything is done with the trigger. I recommend geting SP or Dye grips so u can see the color LED through them so you dont have to take the grips off to changes modes! I simple drilled a hole in my stock grips and put a white LED in it and I can see the lights on the inside works great! Heres a vid of what it looks like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Qg9AZIhodU

A great feature is the battery check at the beginning. Green, Orange and Red shows what state the battery is in! Also, I cant forget the infamous Ganster mode! Great for breakouts and using when playing with friends. Its illegal in tournaments. U can have full uncapped auto on the break and on the 2nd or third trigger pull go into semi or ramping! Great stuff.

I got a free harness and stickers with my board so it was a great buy! So much better than a Virtue board could ever be! My ION now is cabable of shooting over 20+ no problems! Amazing... Simply Amazing!

When I took it for a test run ppl were like... WTF! Thats an ION?!?!?
Conclusion: Great board for a decent price. If you dont want to get a new marker get this with a new trigger and you are good to go!!

Review: The ion fires good, very smooth and the board is excellent. Don't get me wrong, but the board is very very weak. It is just very poorly made. On the forums, i found three people including myself with problems with this board. I had my battery connector break off. Another person had the battery connector pin break off. A third person has had their eye and battery connector pin break off. Here is their link on pbnation in regards to the third person who wants to sell his broken board.

The 8th broken Tadao board. Read Post #16

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2618121

After I sent it in to get it repaired, i got it back. When i installed it into the frame, the micro switch button popped out. How does the button ever pop out when i put it into the frame? That shows that the board has a very off position to the ion frame.

ok so my button popped out. I had to buy a membrane pad to bypass the on/off problem. SO i got the membrane pad. Next the problem gets worse. It worked for a few days, but when i went to play, the gun doesn't turn off. The membrane pad would not respond to the board. There is something wrong with this board. So i took the board out of the gun. I took off the membrane pad and just left the battery in on the harness. The board went haywire. It goes on and off without me pressing any switches.

i sent 3 emails to Tadao for RMA board repair and they just ignore me.

I made a fake email account and sent it to the same person. That fake email account got a reply and my RMA request did not. They do not want to help people who have problems with their board.

Another problem with Tadao board AND their excellent customer's service you people claim it to have.

http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2779450

DITCH THIS COMPANY!!!!
Conclusion: For this price, I would rather go virtue or an APE board. Why pay 140 bucks for so many problems on a board? Everyone has the same problem with the battery connector and the very brittle eye connector.

Just save yourself some trouble and get other boards.

Weaknesses: Picky about batteries
Review: Back in the day....(which was a Wednesday, fun fact)....I fried my stock board and i had the option of replacing it with a stock board or buying an aftermarket board. My two choices were either the Blackheart or The Raider. So....after researching both boards I chose the raider.

My what a fine choice it was. i was immediately impressed with the lighting on the board. The white power light is exceptionally easy to see in light or dark, and the Bright colors of the programming were even bright enough for me to see through the cracks in the grips i didn't need to remove my grips to program it.

How u program the board is really simple all you need is the trigger and you can do it all. So that takes away from using a membrane pad because i don't need it with the bright lights and only using the trigger. But you still can add a membrane pad if wanted.

It has 12 different firing modes for you guys to play with, all of which can be put to uncapped. It has 4 different ramping modes. It even has a Gangster mode which allows you to go full auto on the first to third pulls of the trigger on any of the 12 firing modes than after the full auto goes right into the firing mode you chose. Has your standard dwell, debounce, AMB, ABS, CPF, Pulse dwell, Dwell %, etc...

It comes with a tourny lock on the board for you tourny players out there.
The manual is really easy to understand

But my only problem was finding a good battery it likes. I used Energizer and some other generic batteries. The one i found that worked the best was DURACELL and i won't put any other in the gun.
Conclusion: If you thinking about this board get it it has everythin you could want in a board and you could have so many different settings with the options it gives you. It deserves a 10!!

Weaknesses: Internal led could be brighter
Review: This board is amazing! My close friend purchased a Virtue board and was never able to change any settings or firing modes, even with the manual. The Raider board on the other hand is amazing. The mode changing is very straight forward and the internal led can be seen through the clear dot on the 06 Contract Killer and Hybrid grips. It is extremely easy to memorize what the colors mean and what setting for certain features. Another fun feature is ganster mode. This is really fun for a begining of the game boost. Really fun if your playing woods ball. The only thing i don't like about this board is that some of the colors are hard to distinguish between and sometimes the led flashes to quickly for you to realize it is flashing.
Conclusion: All in all this board is amazing. The settings are fun and it is easy to change them. The internal led's problems aren't big enough to really make the board bad. All in all i give this board a 10

Ion has a QEV, tadao board, Q-Lock feed neck
Strengths: I dry fired and my neighbors thought it was a machine gun lol
Weaknesses: The eye adapter is very very brittle it breaks off very very easy
Review: This is a great upgrade it makes the gun shoot ropes and it makes other people say why the hell did i buy this $1500 ego and hes got a $400 ion shooting 25 bps in ropes? Well you will love this circuit board if you buy it. The eye logic is great, i did not get any chops, it has many features that are configurable for the solenoid like power usage and consumption, dwell ect... it also features Debounce and Anti Mechanical debounce which is nice, and many little modes for firing like psp, nxl ect... Gangsta mode is also built in and it only comes from tadao and is not tournament legal, when you turn the gun on the first trigger pull is full auto the the next and is your selected firing mode. The best thing about this is the firing modes uncapped semi, and my personal favorate AKA "THE NOOB POWNAGE" Has got to be uncapped automatic at 25 bps just imagine 10 kids with tippmann 98's coming around the corner, now the guy with the spyder says i can't shoot fast enough, and you say don't worry i am here to kill them all, you pop up and empty a hopper onto the noobs in 5 seconds and they don't know wtf is going on until they are coverd in paint walking to the deadzone. But it has one problem that i found to be very very bad; i buy my stuff from pevs, and they gave me a circuit that had a brittle eye thing i did the installation and it broke off, i brought it back and they gave me a new one (very nice people) for free. It worked for about 3 months and happend again, it broke off ERRRR. I am currently awating a replacement, mabye this one will have a strong eye connector i don't know but it is very weak because my stock circuit still works and i have tossed that around my workshop a lot into boxes ect... and the eye connector is still attached.
Conclusion: I say get it, but if you can buy this is person from a dealer that is good please do because you dont want to have a website be really stupid and say we can't help you if the eye connector breaks off so in person is best at a respected dealer. It is a core upgrade for your ion and it will make it perform like a $1000 gun.

BUY IT!!!!!!! I won't subtract points for the eye connector problem because it may be just a defect in some circuits i don't know but others did not complain about it.

Strengths: Speed, amount of settings.
Weaknesses: Button Sensitivity (More below)
Review: Cons: I absolutely hate the on button sensitivity. I dont have much fingernails (I bite them, stupid habit) so I usually have someone else do it.

Its a battery hog, but thats not important.

Pros: Pretty fast. I definately noticed a change between boards (Stock to Tadao) but I dont have pods and I use a really low amount of air (About 500 shots) to work with. Im planning on getting a new hopper, thats probably what you will need.
Conclusion: Fast. Worth it. Get it.
