This is a really good thing for hoppers because its faster because of the piston or drive shaft addition or whatever it is makes it faster because larger size. its metal sothe litle flap inside cant break and it feeds really good. Kinda hard to install but after that you dont need to worry. good product. doesnt chop feeds good no worrys. i would reccomend it. makes halo's alot faster. |

buy it its clangy but that can be scary and it feeds fast. boosted my buds halo speed by like 8 BPS. its metal so its good. |

So i bought the hot rod kit because i wanted to finally get a rip drive for my halo. So i got this in and the quality of it is great. Seems really sturdy so it doesn't look like its gonna break anytime soon. The only problem i had with it is that it comes with a three paddle drive cone. And in my experience with it it either jammed like crazy or shredded the paint i had in it. No problems though i just switched it out for another cone. Install can be a bit difficult if you don't pay attention to where things go and stuff but if you go to the shocktech website they have a video showing how to install it which is awesome. Kudos Shocktech. So yea once i got it all installed i've had no problems with it.

Great product by a great company. Like i said my only dislike about it is the three paddle drive cone but that can easily be remedied. So in all i'm gonna give it an 8. Not to detract from it but if you ditched your last drive cone you may be outta luck. But hey maybe i just had bad luck with mine |

When i first got this upgrade kit i was psyched until i had to install it myself. A little piece of advice, LET SOMEONE AT A PAINTBALL STORE INSTALL THIS KIT!!!!!!! To install it you need to compleatly dissassembly youre loader and there are many tiny parts that are easily lost. Also you have to uninstall and re-install 3 C clamps which are downright impossible. Anyway if you do decide on doing it yourself use the video turorial on Shocktechs website, it helps a lot. If you can get the thing installed it does make a difference. The new cone and rip drive add a sweet custom look to youre loader. The combination on the new internals and knob make for a slight improvement in loading speed but at the cost of reliability. The screw at the top of the drive cone doesnt fully screw in and that makes th cone clangy and wobbely and prone to come off the spring which calls for the removal of the screw and the re-installment of the cone. Anyway the rip drive works well and the new spring helps to reduce jams altogether. This kit adds performance and style to youre loader but there are some downsides, most of the problems can be avoided by having someone install it who knows what there doing. |
