Basically it just gets rid of the on/off in the front of the gun which is right where your hand is when shooting. It's not a matter of IF but WHEN the stock on off will start to leak. The stock on/off is just a bad idea... PERIOD. It's useless and only causes problems and extra maintenence.
Basically, the first thing you should do to a DM6/7 is replace the "airport" with a CP then replace the on off with a CP cap...
stock dm6 on/off...too much of a constant problem with stock on/off
Marker Setup:
Dust clear dm6 with black accents
-CP flow plug
-CP 16" .689 2 piece barrel
-Empire Reloader B w/ ghetto speed feed
-Pure Energy 72/45 tank
Strengths:
No more leaks from the on/off after replacing it with the CP plug.
Weaknesses:
Nothing.....
Review:
When I ordered the plug I figured it would just be a quick answer to a leaky on/off, but I was greatly suprised at the outcome of installing the plug. First off the dust black plug goes great with the other dust black parts on my dm6. The plug shows quality in the machining of it and comes with orings that just need to be lubed and installed.
After I installed the plug I found that my hand held the gun with more comfort and ease since I could have my hand tight up under the barrel. The plug is milled out more so your lpr setting could change. I set my lpr everytime I play. This is a great product!
Conclusion:
I would definately get this for my dm6 if you dont like the on/off built into the gun. The cost is only $10 but it makes a big difference in performance because you play better when you feel comfortable shooting your gun. I love mine and a lot of dm6 owners that have held mine say it is something they are going to pick up because it feels better holding the marker.

Review:
Great Up, pretty neccessary for the Dm series, glad the Dm9 doesn't have a spot for one. It is a super easy install, I did it in 3 miutes flat. It fixed the only leak my gun had, it was awesome. Why didn't Dye put these on stock? I mean really a $1300 gun shouldn't have a detrimental piece stock ,this isn't a Smart Parts gun we are talking about. This also allows you to grip the gun better, feels much much better.
Conclusion:
Get it, it will keep your matrix running great without having to worry bout leaks, and it feels better when playing.
Well the front on off in my opinion was a terrible idea by Dye it is just asking for problems. its also rather annoying trying to hold the gun with it right under the barrel. Got this little beauty for around 15 bucks, stopped all leaks and improved comfort by leaps and bounds.
Nothing like this part. Great Job Custom Products !
Marker Setup:
DYE DM7, Ultra lite barrel and Virtue Board.
Strengths:
Perfect - Stopped leak.
Weaknesses:
None
Review:
I order a DM7 part for my marker. This went in easy and stopped my leak !!! Now my hand grips the marker much better and I don't have to worry about turning the on/off in the middle of a game. BIG PLUS. If you are going to get one for your DM6 or DM7 just order the correct one.
Conclusion:
This is the perfect up grade for your DYE DM7. Stopped my air leak ! Big plus easy to install.
This is a great product. It makes your DM much much more comfortable. It also replaces the stock on/off that is subject to leaking. This is a cheap and great upgrade for your DMs.
My only grief is the color choices. But luckily it matched my DM6. There really is NO reason not to go get this. Who really uses the on/off on the gun anyway.
Conclusion:
Get it, its comfortable, easier maintenance, and looks great.
