Review: Great product from empire. Perfect for those front position players because it dosnt get in the way of running. Super flexible. There is padding in many key places but the padding isnt very thick. It has to be 50 words. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah

Review: This review is for Empire Ground Pounders Pro Sliders 2009 (and not 2008).

I have tried them once in 90F degree direct sunlight heat underneath of my Empire pants. I used to wear army camo pants instead and compared to them the two are AWESOME.

Great protection on the side, groin, jewels and back. Good knee protection, but not thick enough to dive with your knees. You would need additional knee protectors for that.

Great ventilation. I have played for 3 hours in 90F direct sunlight heat and did not sweat. I was only warm. The key is to have slightly lose pants and jersey to allow air circulation.

Slick and awesome design! None compared.

ATTENTION: Wash them gentle cycle, cold water and apart from your pants, shoes or any hard fear. The synthetic material is thin and may break easily is scratched by zippers or solid parts from other apparel in your washing machine.
As an option, place Sliders in a protective washing bag.
Conclusion: I recommend them to anyone. They are worth the money spent, quality material and great protection.

Review: I bought these while they were on sale while looking for some knee pads. Ive played the snake several times and I figured having sliding shorts as well could'nt hurt. They fit wonderfully. The waistband and leg cuffs have a thin strip of tacky silicone that grips to your skin and comfortably holds the shorts in place. They have sufficient padding in the right places without being too bulky to be worn under a set of pants. The knee inserts combined with the reinforced knees of my Proto pants made a very good layer of protection. I played at Charleston and had several times where my knees slammed a tree root, but I felt practically nothing. The only downside there might be is if someone doesn't want either the sliding shorts or the knee coverage.
Conclusion: If you're looking for knee pads to wear under your pants and could use some sliding shorts for side protection then this is PERFECT for you. They are well made and very comfortable and at an amazingly affordable price (compared to buying a new set of good sliders and pads).
