Code 242 releases the all new Li-Ion dual set for the Velocity loader. Why settle for anything less than the newest technology of Lithium Ion. With standard high capacity 9v batteries only producing 250mah of power, the new Code 242 9v Lithium Ion battery packs a whopping 500mah of power for each single 9v. That’s twice the amount of power than your largest Nimh battery. Try a set out today, and you’ll never go back to the old technology. Kit comes with 2 batteries, one charger, one A/C and car adapter, and two spacers.

The Code 242 VLocity Battery is newer, so it should be commonly available, both new and used.

I bought these when they first came out for the Vlocity. They required no hopper modification, they charged fairly quickly, and they saved a couple of ounces over the standard Alkaline batteries.
I tried them in a Vlocity, Vlocity Jr, and eVLution 3. The batteries are a little bigger than your standard 9V, resulting in a tight fit, especially in the eVLution 3. Care had to be taken when removing the batteries for charging, else the battery wires could be damaged.
They worked fine with the stock chips, XSV chip, and Gangstar chips that I tried in the Vlocity and Vlocity Jr.
I found a key weakness with these batteries. When they run low, there is no red blinking light like with the Alkaline batteries to give you a warning. The hopper simply just stops working. I suspect that this is a characteristic of Li-Ion batteries.
I went back to standard 9V batteries after the dead hopper with no warning experience.
Conclusion:
If you play often, these batteries may save you the trouble of stocking a bunch of 9V. Depending on your hopper settings and how long you play, you may need to charge them after every day of play so that you won't end up with a dead hopper in the middle of a game.

I got these batts with my XSV vlocity hopper and they work real well. came w/ wall charger and car charger. make sure you charge them for 12 hours before actually using them. they take a few recharge periods to come to full power potential. awesome product. now i am just making stuff up to fill the fifty word minimum.
