Review: Popped this board into my shocker and it worked right out of the box :] I needed to set up Millennium ramping which wasn't really all THAT logical but with some APE assistance I managed to do it and its awesome! Love the 3 step ramping. For those that like to fiddle around with settings, u can set up 2 ramping modes in 5 profiles giving u 10 personalized settings!! Programming is a bit different than in most board but doing it a few times and you get the drift.
Conclusion: All in all an awesome board. You get all the options that you get with Tadao, Virtue and Predator plus more for $50 LESSSSS!!! You cant go wrong!

Review: Previous to purchasing this board, i read a review by Andy (owner of www.zdspb.com). In his review he mentioned the many setpoints, the many modes, and the many other features. His review made it seem like this board was going to be difficult to understand. In fact, it is just the opposite. The manual has detailed descriptions of what settings do what, walk-through tutorials to help learn how to adjust settings in each of the main menus.

The board itself is constructed nicely and seems to be sturdy enough to hold up to the abuse of tournament paintball. It is not like a predator board, which in my experience is a little sliver of board with some resistors and a chip on it. They put all of the components on the front of the board which, according to Andy from www.zdspb.com, was most likely done as a cost saving measure.

Setting up the board is quite easy. It comes with factory settings, so it can be used as a plug and play application. For those who are looking for a more fine-tuned gun, there are many different settings you can adjust to make the gun shoot just the way you want it. To help with programming the board has 4 individual, colored LED lights. Each light is a different color. The board also makes use of the LED on the upper (solenoid) board. In addition, there is a speaker on the board that chirps to signify different actions (backing up to a different menu, a value for a setting, etc...). In addition to the multiple firing modes, there are also 5 different adjustable user profiles. You can set up different modes and settings for each profile, and set the board to start on which profile you want.

One of the best features of this board is the price. This board gives you so many features for a price that wont make you think twice about buyint it. At $99.95, this board has just as many features as a $149.95 board, and more.
Conclusion: For the price, ease of use, and amount of features, you cannot go wrong with this board!

Strengths: The Modes and programming ability

Factory settings will have to be modified / programmed
Review: The APE Rampage is amazing. Forget about the virtue. This thing is beautiful. 4 Bright LED's indicate the mode and aid the programming. This board has 8 base firing modes and near unlimited setpoints which allow you to program the way the board ramps and such - long explanation trust me they rock. For the cash [ I think i payed about 100 with shipping for it ] you CAN'T GO WRONG. There really is about nothing you CAN'T program on this board....Check out the downloadable manual at goapeonline.com. It may look like no one can follow it but i am awful at following directions - believe me - and i found it very easy because of the step by step directions. In other reviews and for the few problems the board has that i noticed in forums the tech support at that link is amazing as well.
Conclusion: Anyone with a shocker that wants to have a ton of fun with modes / programming and or wants to enter a tourney NEEDS this board. For the price you can't go wrong.

Weaknesses: - Advance settings can be tricky to set up.
Review: Got the board and installed it with in 20 mins of it arriving. The only issue I had with Installing the board was the pins in the marker did Not want to come out. Had to tap it with an awl and allen key.

Once in, I had no issues what so ever. When out for a day of woods ball, played for 8 hours. Tested all the modes..... Rips paint in semi. 3 ball burst is nice. I really like the responsive mode, Shots once when trigger pulls and once out when trigger releases.

My friends quickly banned me from using full auto ! which honestly i didnt mind since i waste a TON of paint with it.

Now I just have to figure out how to get it tournament legal for speed ball....
Conclusion: Great product Highly recommend it. I give it a nine just because i havent used to many other boards to compare

Marker Setup: Shocker NXT (stock), Guerrilla HP 68/45 tank, APE Board

Weaknesses: Complicated programming until you understand the conept APE uses
Review: I have always been a Tadao man, but after purchasing a Shocker NXT and Tadao not have its M7 board out yet I thought I would try an APE board. The cost was cheap...I got mine of Ebay for $79.99 and board arrived in two days. Installation was a breeze as with all shocker boards. Now here is the tricky part. The instructions for programming this board look overwhelming. There is over two pages of how to setup the marker's different firing sequences. However, you can just plug and play unless you are using an NXT. Of course, the NXT is a breakbeam eye configuration and the APE default settings are for reflective eyes. So this forced me to enter into the programming to change it. I was a little worred because the instructions were so complicated, but after a few read throughs I finally understood the directions and it was quite easy after that. On page 3 of the manual is a demonstration of explaining the 'tier' system of the programming which finally made it all click with me on understanding the programming. Good job APE! Last night I finally was able to use this board in practice. Wow, this thing rocks!!! You can change the firing modes with just one push of the power button. The eye logic worked perfectly and I never chopped a ball.
Conclusion: All I can say is for less than $100 this board is the best! Awesome! I would suggest taking a look at this board before considering the others. You won't be disappointed.
