Well I got this barrel with the tacamo ak-47 kit for the a-5. The first big bonus hey its wood and now plastic. For an ak mod thats way better because aks just dont come in toy plastic like the bt kit. The barrel kit also has real ak-47 sights on it. It looks alot better then the other ak-47 kits too because it has the backsight and not just a gap where it should be. The threaded muzzle break at the tip was a nice touch. Although some people wouldnt like that there no porting I found that a bonus in realism. Ak-47s are a loud gun and this helps to replicate that. Even though its no where near as loud as a real rifle id say its still a bonus. The barrel had decent accuracy and was quite a bit better then the stock barrel but still worse then things like the jj ceramic. The barrel can accept any barrel that is straight with no tapering and is 7/8 inch. Great barrel kit best looks of all of em. I'll give it a 10 even though because even though it doesnt preform as well as say a cheaper barrel like the jj its a milsim kit. And as a milsim kit I think it that people buy it for looks and it should be compared to the other milsim ak kits and the rating should reflect that. |

Ok, I got this barrel in an upgrade kit for my A5, and as soon as it arrived I took it out and shot with it... It was sooooo accurate! I am used to the mediocre accuracy of the BT and RAP4 series of barrels, so I wasn't expecting anything better out of this one. However, I may say that I was happily surprised! It shot very accurately, even though I was using semi-old paint! It looks so much like an AK barrel, that I actually tricked some people with it! It is 100 times better quality than the BT47 series of barrels, and much more accurate! It uses real AK hardware wherever possible! It even has a real Ak47 backsight on it (Unlike the BT47)! |
